Quote:This.In-story, Ghost Widow has an advantage over other undead spirits. Most spirits are bound to the physical realm by some object they were associated with in life, or possibly through a connection to a still-living relative. Ghost Widow is connected to the entire Arachnos organization, so she cannot be disrupted nearly as easily as other spirits, as her tie to reality is not nearly so tenuous as most ghosts.
Something about "So long as Arachnos exists she can never be truly destroyed". -

What the heck. If you get this going I can bring my brute. Global is @Fomsie

Really reminds me of the "Spawn" symbol.

Only person I know of that plays their character as a Rock Star and is known by others as such, would be Roxy Acetylene. It's one thing to just write in your bio that you are a famous so and so, it's another when other people have given the idea life.

Quote:Seriously?A. This is not my only account. |
B. I have played since the beginning and am old as well as mature enough not to care about something like my reg date.
C. You are the ony who clearly does not understand how the powers work or even tested them in PVP application just by what you said ABOVE the bolded text, much less in it.
D. Furthermore, I would suggest you grow up, or as it is very possible due to the way you responded, keep acting your young age.
Clearly you did not read the disclaimer, as it asked for mature comments.
I say, -1 for you troll.
Yeah, that Mac guy sure doesn't know a thing about PvP and has never tested any of the powers... -
Hmm, let's see...
It seems that most of my flyers are magic in nature and their flight is just a side effect of said magic, be it a spell, device or part of the nature of the being. One is a demon and flies by use of wings. (Physics be damned!) One is tech based and uses a combination of rocket boots and wings.
My leapers are either powered by super strong muscles or piston powered mechanical legs. One I no longer play was based on manipulating their personal gravity to leap long distances.
My speedsters have the most diversity. One is hand waved as riding a motorcycle, one is based on time manipulation and sort of "time skips", another has an enhanced neurosystem ala Shadowrun "wired reflexes".
My only current character with a teleport power is "recall friend" and I haven't decided if that is by use of a device or a spell.
A number of my characters get by with just Ninja run and fitness and those are a mixed bag of explanations based on the character background, be it training and free running, acrobatics, or some form of enhanced reflexes.
I think the nature of my travel powers comes more from the look and feel of the character. Whatever works best and justification be damned. -

Quote:No need to apologize for the thread, it was a valid question/complaint, I was just pointing out the Rename warning text because I did the same thing as you... and then went back and read it :PWell in that case...I apologize for this thread. I put myself in the situation. If I would have read the full warning I would have known that would happen.
However, I do believe that this should be changed. I think that, if you purchase the rename token...you should be able to use it whenever you want.
I do agree that there should be something else done to make it a little more user friendly. -
Seriously dude, you are trying way too hard.
Especially when considering the amount of fail achieved. -
Not sure what your unique story is, but if you click to purchase a rename token the following text pops up prior to purchase:
CHARACTER RENAME WARNING!
Character rename tokens are only good for one character and cannot be refunded once purchased.
They are used by clicking the green Rename Character button on the character selection screen or by logging the character in, at which time a rename dialog will pop up and REQUIRE you to choose the new name for your character.
It is NOT guaranteed that the name you want will be available. Please have the new name in mind before logging in, along with an alternative in case that name is taken. -
The badges are given for choosing the respec, not for completing the mission. Since the character was rogue, he was awarded the villain side badge.

I consider the Origin just a simple basis concept. And from there, who knows?
My newest character a KM/WP stalker took the natural origin with the idea that she is a highly trained physical specimen with some psychokinetic abilities. Those abilities are enhanced and focused by devices(technology) to allow their use in combat. She also wears basic body armor(tech) to explain her damage resistance, as well as always having temporary powers like the revolver and plasmatic taser(more tech). Her self heal is an injection of nanites(science) while her hasten is a chemical stimulant(also science). Along the way she has also picked up some very basic magic in the form of the powers from the Ghost Widow patron pool.
So, she is basically a mish mash of origins, based on the original concept. -
Quote:Oh this! When a SG has 4 or 5 "sub group" SGs in a coalition and then most of the people have an alt character floating around somewhere in one or more of said SGs and then people only play their "main" for SG functions, major RP events or TFs and then expect you to recognize them as SG officers/people of interest. Seriously? I mean, if you are going to run a SG that is big and active and you are filling the role as an officer in said group with all the privilege, then at least accept some of the responsibility and be active enough on your main characters to be noticed and helpful. Don't show up at the monthly meetings though and act all high and mighty when in reality the "n00bs" have been more active in the SG than you have. I hate that. ((This is assuming a RP SG mind you, in non RP groups where it is the player, not the toon, it is a totally different story)).The most important part I see is activity. If there's no one on the supergroup roster who has logged on within 7 days it becomes hard to justify staying in the group. In the same vein, it's even more difficult to play to a group who are active, but on other characters who are in other SGs; if the SG doesn't consist of the main characters of the players then activity's going to be minimal and drive off the people with their main characters in the SG.

Was on Virtue doing a villain morality mission and it was acting screwy... mob movement and behavior, chat string errors, objectives self completing or moving... huge lag spikes, but I finally slogged through it. Exited the mission and dropped an Oro portal and *poof*. Tried to log back in, got to Virtue, said that character was still logging out... 5 minutes later :P After that, no access at all.
Wonder what they broke during the extended maintenance this morning... -

Ah yes, all of the power "purge" assassin strike animations...
Make me really appreciate KM even more. -
Quote:Because this is a discussion thread, not a "say only positive things or don't post" thread. This is the perfect venue for folks who do not think this booster is worth the price or up to snuff to voice their opinion and conduct a discussion.Didn't most of you that have been complaining about the content of this Pack do the same in the previous thread that announced the pack's contents?
Why do we need two threads of kvetching? How about we stick to complaints about things like not being able to buy the pack in the store, or bugs. The content of this pack is set in stone, not going to change. Either buy it or don't. I think they heard every complaint there is to hear in the last thread. -
Passing on this one and I have also purchased every Expansion/Booster so far.
Not only is the cost to product value horribly off, IMHO, but to release a pack that is just emotes, less than a month after the release of a major expansion, especially when some of the emotes being released were tested as part of that expansion's beta.
