    overall, bad idea. Majority of new subscriptions that I saw came from people knowing they could now level faster. If anything, they need to increase xp gains. I still stand by my suggestion of level up tokens for new players.

    this is the statement that you shot yourslef in the foot with. if they are new players, they haven't even played the game yet. and i am /unsigned to the idea. there is no need for this in game at all. leveling is easy enough.

    Giving level up tokens to the new players to the game who haven't even tried the game yet is the whole idea. I'm basing this idea on the reasons I've been given by people who came back to try MA, and what they enjoyed the most in their time back. I asked quite a few people to, and it was the leveling potential on the first few weeks of MA.

    If that's what they want, and it stops them from cancelling their subscription, give it to them once. It does no harm to the community other than increasing our player base.

    This would be no different than double xp weekend, where they advertise it to get new players back anyways. This would essentially make double xp weekend for one toon up to 50. I really see no difference other than that. It may keep a subscriber on. I've learned, personally, once I get a max character on an MMO, I have a hard time leaving a game.

    They won't help keep subscribers, and that is the goal of a level up token.

    After talking with many people who have returned to Co* to try out MA, the thing I seemed to get out of everyone I asked what they liked about MA, it was being able to level up quickly. I personally don't see any reason to level a character up quickly unless it's specifically for PvP since I enjoy the mid level content, and teaming with and meeting new people, but many people do. This suggestion is to get those targetted people back into this game with minimal effect on everyone else.

    On all new accounts being created, give each person one level up token. This effectivly doubles a person xp gained for one toon. This will allow the new person to gain levels quickly to achieve level 50, and is a one time use item. Once used it's gone. If the character is erased, they don't get it back. If they are an altoholic, they are out of luck.

    For every new player, there is a learning curve. We've all been there, and with all the new options added since we were all newbs, it's even harder for the new player. My first toon was a blaster, and I never took stamina. Nobody ever said anything to me until I was in my 40's "Hey, if you take stamina you won't have so much endurance problems." I was hesitant to try it, but evenutally did, and they were right. If you see a player who's level 40, and says "What's Fulcrum Shift?" don't laugh at them. I didn't know what Fulcrum Shift was until I was on my 3rd toon, so leveling up quicker will expose them to more of the game quicker, and help with the learning curve.

    Yeah, it sucks to get stuck with someone who doesn't know what they are doing on their team, but it would be really nice if more people started playing CoH, and helping new people get to level 50 quick seems to be a fad with alot of new people who started playing. We have a great player base now where I think if the player base doubled in size, we'd be ok.

    Comm Officers were broken, and that fix was expected. That said, you can still PL using MA. Just use normal LT's or Bosses that aren't custom. Full XP is still there. With a good team, you can still plow through them. Just because comm officers are gone isn't the end of massive xp gains.

    yes, well if you go to the dev's corner, and look at the AE thread That posi created there today, which is now over 200 pages, that he is planning on erasing toons that were powerleveled using the rikti comm officers.

    Let me put this as plainly as I possibly can .... No

    No I won't stop pushing the game, so long as it's not considered an exploit. If something is giving rewards to quickly (Comm officers), then they will be adjusted. You have to trust in the Dev's to fix things appropriatly. If you don't want to take part in occasionally farming, that's your choice and your loss.

    I will not stop playing the way I want to play for you, for someone else, or for the developers for that matter. If something regarding risk/reward is out of whack, then they will fix it.

    I don't care if you think it's affecting you. If you are that upset about it, unsubscribe. That would at least give me a win because you left. Granted, the dev's might implement something different if many people leave, but in this case, I'm pretty sure they've gained way more people than they've lost. That's just speculation though.

    If there's anything that's going to chase people away from this game, it's all these freakin' bugs that came with i14 ...
  16. So here I am, waiting for people to finish up a mission so I can get in on the next mission. I don't even know what to call this bug ...

    I joined a team that was in a map, 7 people on the team. I get invited, run to atlas to zone into the mission, and the contact is "Contact Hologram" ... Can't enter the mission ... Doesn't even show the Architect Button in the nav bar. Quit the team, rejoin .. nothing ... Try Atlas 2, nothing ... Log out, and log back in ... nothing ... doesn't even show me on a TF.

    Is this a known issue?

  18. I'll add my voice to this .... I've been crashing alot latly as well. Usually it's zoning into City02 (Just that map) or selecting ticket rewards. It either locks up and sits there, or freezes and I get one of those nifty windows that asks me what I was doing at the time of the crash.

    I've also had total lockups where windows thinks it stopped working, and drops back to my desktop. I've also had my fair share of crashes just moving across a zone from point A to point B.
  19. At the moment, the reward is a bit askew with regards to xp and some groups, but it's not an exploit, more of an oversight. The massive amounts of xp are coming from groups which only contains lt's. I'm forseeing sometime in the near future that the will be made more difficult to defeat so the xp will be more in line with the risks.

    More than likly, the leveling potential will still be there, but the risk in team wipes will increase. With the new Architect missions though, anything goes in regards to how you want to play. Massive amounts of targets, a good story arc, or a little bit of both.

    My advice, come back and see if you like it.

  21. If it makes you feel better, I 3 star farms so they don't appear at the top of the list, unless it's a really good farm. Then I'd give it 5.

    I quite often 1-3 star normal missions without leaving feedback, but it's because I find them dull and boring, not because they aren't farms. I don't leave feedback because people would probably retaliate against my reasons.

    A great arc should be fun to play (ie farmable) with a great story line. This would produce non-stop carnage, and it's what I'm always looking for. It's you who is trying to impact our type of play. As long as your cries of paranoia continue to be ignored, we are fine.

    There is nothing wrong with PVP ... I can play a blaster without worrying about being 2 shotted by a stalker anymore. I just started getting back into PvP again, and I'm quite satisfied with the direction it took.

    Battles should not be over in 3 seconds, they should last awhile. If anything, add more suppression to movement. When a person is hit, it should also invoke the movement suppression.

    I Agree! In order to add risk to this game, when a player buys CoH it should also come with a new computer chair that is mandatory to sit in in order to play the game. When your toon dies, the chair should deliver a high voltage shock to the player.

    This will add risk to the game
