Farming is an exploit!!! At least that's what I'm told ...

I had alot of luck with a fire/kin and a spines/dark in the past. Been awhile since I tried duo farming though. If you have a good emp defender or a good FF defender, just about any other toon can be turned into a farm toon.

'for some obscure reason' is malarky, you would know exactly why

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes ... the reason would be "Because I farm"

If I am ever banned for that reason, I will happily find new waters to fish in.

Edit: And it more like "Look at me Dev's! I'm farming MA! Nyah Nyah Nyah"

I don't see farming as an exploit as long as the game allows it.

Pretty sure it's aimed at EVERYONE and is pretty sound advice.

With the way GMs/CS have been going about, I WOULD NOT want to give them a reason to think that you are trying to fool around with them.

I would not mind losing an arc or even a slot.

Logically I think most would NOT want to lose their ability to use the MA at all, or even their ACCOUNT.

    Just saying.

    tl;dr: Don't F&*K with the CS/GMs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Quite frankly, I don't care. It's a game. Games come and go. I have no problems spending $15 a month on a game. The MMO market is so huge, if my account got banned for some obsocure reason, I'd just play a different MMO.

    MrDead,

What do you think that we, as players, should do if we disagree with the service or treatment we have been getting from a game we play a monthly subscription for?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Vote with your feet. Vote with your wallet. Call CS. Write the dev's mail. But yelling and ultimatums and threats, well, they just have the opposite effect and make people like me talk on the forums. You don't want that now do you?

Wrong answer ... I'd flat out quit.

I've stated in the past, but I'm fairly certain that I wouldn't last long subscribed to any service you were providing, given your mentality.

Ignicity has kind of gotten on people's nerves with the constant posting of the issue, and perhaps some of the arguments he's had in the past on other issues... but I promised him that if he could convince me that what he was saying was right that I'd support him, and he has, and I am.

    You are quite right.
That player is on my nerves so much that I put him on ignore so that I didn't have to hear what he had to say any more.

Thank you for speaking for him so that I have to listen to him after I put him on ignore.

I guess that means that I have to put you on ignore as well.

It's way too much. That's an incredibly low blow, and it doesn't help anything.

Also, I don't know where the idea comes from this these are Posi's rules or that the buck stops with him on customer service matters. This is, indeed, a customer service issue, and Posi is not a part of that. Let's stop dragging him into it, ok?

And seriously Liv, you're better than that kind of petty personal attack.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In Liv's defense, Posi did say "If you want someone to blame, blame me" in a post about the badges. For some reason he's been standing directly in the crosshairs.
  10. QR

I've had issues with how Posi has handled this whole situation. It's nice to see that long time players are voiceing against this as well. Nothing has happened to me in this whole situation that's developed, but I also don't appreciate being talked to like a child. Regardless, I'll simply voice my opinion, and if any action is taken against my account for farming, I'll spam the forums until I get my forum account blocked, then quit. I doubt it will ever come to that though.

Free vertical movement power, don't see nothing wrong with that. I have SS on my fire/kin but didn't have anything else to take at the time so now I stack SS with sprint slotted with a stealth IO but I use Inertial Reduction most of the time to get around the city. My big beef with it is the large endurance cost and short duration =/

Except you can now take super jump and skip combat jumping ... Why not take SJ instead of IR? SJ doesn't wear off.

only useless powers in a firekin build are repel, siphon speed, siphon life, and inertial reduction.

    how do i know, though....

    [/ QUOTE ]

Repel is useless only if you are going for a farming build. Siphon Speed most certainly isn't useless, it give you +recharge and helps hit recharge cap so you can have perma hasten. Siphon life? You mean Transfusion? You can't skip that power.

And Inertial Reduction makes you JUMP! WHEEE! Yeah I agree with you there. That's the most useless power in the game.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Having gone 1-50 with a fire/dark, I honestly don't understand how anyone would skip Darkest Night. That's just pure, unadulterated lunacy. Who cares if it draws aggro when nobody can hit you.

Good to know my recent string of agreement with B_I has come to an end, I was starting to get a little worried.

I have a high level mind/kin controller, and kin is a super fun, if busy, secondary.
I'm more partial to fire/rad than fire/kin for some reason. Hit 50 with my fire/rad, never got a fire/kin out of Kings.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I love fire/kin's, but they are painful to play pre stamina. Best bet is to play a Fire/Kin like a controller until you can get transference to help with your stamina. Pick up smoke, repel, and all that crap, then respec when you get transference.

Just out of curiosity, I have an arc with ONE complaint on it that it received way back in its earliest drafting/playtesting. It has somewhere around 50 ratings, and a rating in the 4-star area, as far as I can tell. The "complaint" is simply a post saying, "Oh, because this arc didn't spawn X number of bosses and such on a high difficulty, it might be bugged!" As far as I can tell, the arc is A-OK, and it has played well on almost every run I've taken through it, with or without multiple players.

SO here's my question. . . Two parts. Do complaints ever go away, without unpublishing arcs, and is there a hard, "this is it," maximum number of complaints one can have before an arc is banned?

Thank you in advance for your time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The first ban is automated and determined on the number of ratings vs. the number of complaints. I don't know what the exact ratio is though before it's banned once.

Bless your devious heart sir! Although ironically, my completly blatent farming mission started racking up badges for play-throughs and positive ratings within half an hour of being published, while my original, story-oriented, extremely challenging arc has yet to be reviewed even once (I have no way of knowing for certain if anyone has even played it). Anyhoo, that little piece of irony not withstanding, I think i will do exactly as you suggest from now on.

    [/ QUOTE ]

What a great idea! I'm positive that would work. Once.

As a teacher when someone pulls a fast one on me to circumvent the rules I'm impressed. When they repeat that fast one I'm insulted.

Doing this twice might mean a ban.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The first ban is automated, and is based on the number of ratings, and the number of complaints. When you republish, it is then reviewed by a live person. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's how it goes. I did have a farm mission banned awhile ago, before they started locking slots for it. The first ban said it was removed. I republished it as is, and was banned again, but it gave a specific GM name as to who banned it the second time.

I doubt anyone would even notice if you completly redid the arc so it wasn't a farm mission if it was banned once.
