Cancelled about three or four years ago after CoV released. Am coming back for no particular reason. Maybe I'll stay for a while.

Couple of questions: What does redside mean?
Do people still team up, or is the population bad?
What server has the highest pop?

Also, if there's anything else you think I should be 411'd on let me know here please.

    Thanks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I suggest you start on Virtue. It's the RP server, but they are a decent group of people there. If not Virtue, then Justice would be my second suggestion.

I run farms on a 3 man team, myself, and 2 others. I could care less if the other 2 people participate or not, so essentially, they are getting a free ride.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Out of curiosity, what are you farming for? And I'd be interested in seeing your technique (willing to pay, of course) - what server are you on?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm on Virtue, farm lvl 52 lt's, the rest of the people that are lower than 46 sk up to 46, and I use lots of defendable objects because of the ambushes. I also use destructable objects guarded by EB's that are Ice/FF.

One Man SG's are great if your a hermit. I enjoy diversifying myself in several SG's.

Charging a fellow level 50 or even 40+ characters for MA runs is pretty ridiculous given that they could very well contribute to the team. However, I have no qualms about charging lowbies (level 20 and below) for MA runs *if* I even allow them to get on my team in the first place. To put it bluntly, a level 20 character is not going to bring nearly enough to the table to be worth the spot they're occupying. Of course there are exceptions to the rule such as the lowbie is someone's alt or friend and such. Still, as a general rule of thumb, I don't dish out charity to those who do not need or deserve it.

Edit: As a side note, letting lowbies into any AE farm is a privilege, not a right. Too often I see lowbies screaming and moaning on broadcast about how no one is inviting them to their AE farm. Why should people doing 52+ AE boss invite the lowbies? It's not like they're going to contribute much. They're just there leaching exp/ticket/inf and that's it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Um... am I missing something here? Why doesn a 20 need to join a team of higher levels when he or she will make exactly the same number of tickets (or more) simply by taking on a farm of their own level?

If someone pays you, they should have their toon head examined.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because they won't earn the same number of tickets or more on a farm of thier own level.
  7. [ QUOTE ]

Has anyone else seen anything like this? Who would pay for an MA run?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I run farms on a 3 man team, myself, and 2 others. I could care less if the other 2 people participate or not, so essentially, they are getting a free ride. My farm mission gets a toon from level 1 to level 22 in two runs. I then realized I was possibly participating in leveling complete noobs and aiding in the ignorance level 50's now have. So now I charge 2mil a run for anyone under level 45. If they can afford 2mil per run, then they aren't really that new. I've also started a new toon recently, and played AE thinking I could PL him up through AE again. Boy was I wrong. You still need someone who knows how to PL. A team of lvl 1-20 isn't going to pl someone. I'd pay 30mil to get a toon to level 22, so 4mil to me is a huge bargain.

    but . . . .

    [ QUOTE ]

Trying to charge a level 50 with a vastly better build for an MA run? Priceless.

Someone said on another forum that the way the extra buyable slots had been implemented would mean an increase in story arcs, changing the ratio if story arcs to farm arcs in the MA.

I'd like to ask any farm map creators out there if they'd be likely to buy any more slots. Would a farm arc creator feel the knees to make more than 3 different farm arcs?

    Eco

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes ... Despite what many people think, a farm can contain a viable story and be a farm at the same time. I have about 4 other farm/story arcs I don't have room to publish. I may buy 5 more slots to fit them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd liketo play your farm/story hybrid arcs. If it is possible tomake creative works that also give out higherthan normal rewards, they might be a good way to get more plays from both camps. How do I find them?

Try A Day at the Farm: 52701
The first mission is farmable, and is on a farm. It used to be a defeat all, but was extremely annoying, so I did away with the defeat all, which made it to easy, so I got rid of the minions, and made it an all LT/Boss map. That boosted the rewards significantly. I suggest having a tank with good fire and smashing resist. It's a 4 mission arc, the last three missions don't give decent rewards though. If I can find a way to maximize the rewards for those missions without making it to hard, I would. But this arc was mainly my attempt at story content.

    Also, A Cold Situation: 197126
I strongly recommend two tanks for this, one should be an ice tank. This is either a hit or a miss. You need people to pick up alot of ambushes so I'd have a scrapper or two in addition to the two tanks. If the tanks are REALLY good, two tanks may be enough. The most ambushes you'll have at any one time is 3 if played right which would be 6 groups total. If you take out the minions quickly, the tanks should be able to handle agro control on the rest. You could have up to 6 ambushes at once though. Every time I play this one, I find that either it takes 10 to 20 minutes to complete or you won't complete it at all because of team wipes. You really need to be organized for this mission. This is a one mission story arc, and is my fav to play of my hybrids.

I used to be annoyed at your avatar and location-someone who zero-stars arcs like that, for example, would never be taken on board the tardis by the Doctor. I just realized that it's not only companions who have been aboard. so have the Sontarans, for example. You're a villain, not a companion.

I've been noticing it too, so I've stoped joining random AE farms in atlas, and running my own, and charging anyone who wants to join 2mil inf. I'll just do it this way, play with people I know, or solo when it comes to farming AE.

I've played a new character for the first time, and tried to PL him through normal AE farms broadcasting in Atlas. It was actually slower gaining levels than playing through normal content just because of all the really dumb farms. You really need someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to farming AE.

So charging 2mil influence to run on my farm teams will weed out all the new players who don't know what they are doing, and they can sit and do nothing, or help fight. If my toon sneezes, he drops 2mil influence, so I figure it's a low enough price people won't mind paying who know how to gain influence, and I'm pretty good at smashing through large groups solo.
