    simple go to a pvp zone and either kill some one or get killed then look at your personal player info under the pvp tab where you can see rep and the player defeat list it will show you who and how long before rep is enabled on them.

    IF there's a penalty, I expect it to be in the form of some limit, decay or other impact to an individual's rate of reward. Doing so in this way would ensure that it doesn't matter what size team you're on, or where you farm or PL. You won't exceed target return rate limits.

    Note that I do not want such a feature and would not ask for it. But if I was tasked with implementing it, that's what I'd do.

    or if some one else maybe could verify from their own personal experience because a person's friend could have been lying? I mean while the devs had pvp recipees disabled alltogether i was seeing people in a pvp zone claiming to have gotten a drop when there was no possible way they could have.

    [/ QUOTE ] That was my point. So far I have a Developer who says it works but no way to verify. Then we have one person post saying a friend got it. I'd think collectively we'd like some way to verify that the arena is infact dropping PVP IOs.

    As a side note I still vary between rolling lvl 40-45 and lvl 46-50s. Mostly it has to do with the amount of lvl 40 salvage I have to buy since I have racks and racks of lvl 41-50 salvage back in my base...

  8. BTW when I did what that quote said in an Arena match it said PVP disabled. It also gave no rep count. Are we certain that the Arena is dropping PVP IOs?

    2.12 PVP Reputation

    If you defeat a player while soloing, you will gain 1 point of Reputation (rep) if your defeated opponent is within a 100 yard range. (Messages informing you of this sometimes are omitted due to a bug.) When on a team, this rep is split evenly among all team members within a 100 yard range. If the foe has 15 points or more higher rep than you, you will get an individual bounty of up to 5 points bonus rep. (This is split among teammates. In an informal test, a Hero with approximately 90 rep on a team of two defeated a Villain with 195 rep. The Hero received .50 base rep, and a bounty of 2.50 rep.)

    To view another character's rep, right click, Info, then select the PvP tab. For yourself, click Menu, Personal Info, PvP tab.

    If you defeat someone in PVP and gain the rep from it, or they by defeating you, you cannot gain any rep for defeating that character again until after a 10 minute period. In theory, a list of such enemies appears on your Personal Info PVP tab. Currently, the defeat list only includes those who defeat you. If you defeat one of these again, or they defeat you, the "no rep" timer starts again. So you could defeat someone every 5 minutes indefinitely and only receive the rep for the first kill.

    Rep has no ingame effect apart from two badges - Forward Observer (100 rep) and Disruptor (400 rep). (Disruptor, tragically, was one of many buggy PVP-related badges, and some who have it have never attained 400 rep.)

    Rep gradually falls over time. The decay rate is .1 rep per hour. This is the only way you can lose rep.

    Don't mind him. Personally I think it is a good question that I constantly ask myself as well.

    I roll the 40-45 class because you can then get this:
    Miracle +Recovery

    If you look over these two guides you can see what else is added in. There are a few really good ones added in like the Miracle +Recovery. If you get one of the ones that are only available to lvl 40 then the IO will be lvl 40. If you are lvl 50 and roll an IO that is available all the way to 50, then it too will be a 50.

    Basically it adds some good extra money options. I think most people are only rolling the lvl 50 rolls so a Niche is created ...

    Depends on your time frame. I suspect it will be quite some time before we see the inevitable price drop. People EXPECT purples to be expensive so price won't drop until there's a true glut of them on the market. I'm more inclined to farm purples now and sell em, bank the cash, and buy in a few months when price drops.

    I count 4 scrapper secondaries with self-rez. They're all on a 300s (5 minute!) timer by default. This should make it spectacularly easy to time the rep timer. Sure it's still going to take 300s per chance rather than 30s, but for a 1bil inf PO, it might be worth it to some.

    BTW, I would suggest leveling the scrapper like normal and then setting up a second build with no enhancements and no auto-powers so he's nice and squishy.

    I'd say these IOs are the ones to hunt now that it appears i16 *may* allow farmers to solo missions spawning 8 man team sized critter populations thus cuasing an eventual drop in purple IO prices....

    I agree but I also consider crafting then selling (AKA crapping) as fun. You could also just sell the recipe instead of crafting it to save time.

    I guess it depends on how many tickets you rack up. If you're drowning in them, roll gold just to keep things manageable.

    The Goat speaks the truth ... I did this last night and got some great recipes. I would suggest rolling 40-45 bronze all day long. Take them to WW and delete the worthless ones. Go back to roll more. Keep repeating until you've filled up on the ones you like. Craft and sell.

    If you do this long enough you'll start to really know which bronze rolls you can delete right at the AE vendor. That's when the time commitment really drops.

    Some players say they have soooo many tickets that they don't have the time to deal with all the chaff that comes with bronze. I think they are being a drama queen but that might just be me ticked off at rolling a gold and still getting junk. Hell, Stillhart was telling me he rolled 10 golds in a row (or something) and didn't really get anything good at all. Don't be that guy (lol)
