There is a significant difference between Silver and Gold.
This wiki page (including the links for the Silver and Gold class tables at the faaar bottom) will help you.

In the wiki, the Silver Class table does NOT include the Pool B recipes at this time...only the Pool A (rare).
The Gold Class link takes you to the Rare Random Recipe page b/c the two are equal.

Which Class is better to roll in is subjective based upon wants, needs and how efficiently you can generate tickets.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've seen some fairly good posts that say if you roll bronze enough you are better off then rolling silver due to the cost/ % chance of a Pool A recipe.
  3. Now, what to do tomorrow..... hmmmm.....

    PS. WOOT!
  4. I've been lookinf for the same thing ... I used to play Call of Duty with a vent server and love being able to talk with my fellow players. I'll try to look you up... my global is @adogg
  5. Stillhart: I'm new at this as well and have learned a bunch from this thread also. The advice that Fulmens said and stuck with me is: If you didn't leave your bid up overnight, then you didn't bid at all.

I would also echo the comment that the IOs YOU want to use are the same everyone else wants to use. Focus on those. I've had tremendous luck there becuase I know the IOs and am already watching them. Just as a side note, last night I found a trade where I netted 9 million INF in one day (did it 3 times). I found this trade b/c I won the recipie from an AE roll then I looked at the price I could sell the recipe or the cost to build it and sell it. When I noticed the wide spread ... I jumped. I invested 15M per recipie and sold them for ~25M.

The biggest mistake I made was not watching the volume. Not a big deal to find a trade that looks good ... but to find one that trades well too ... that's the sweet spot for me.

So, I've been trying to run people's arcs. Its a you rate mine, I'll rate yours kind of thing. Theres a list devoted to it here on the forums. I haven't run anything for a couple of days, so I logged in with my Energy/Ninjitsu Stalker and went at it. Walked into a mission with custom cirtters and died...repeatedly...ridiculously. I spent most of my time on my back since I don't have knockback resistance. If I could not outright kill them with assasin's strike, I was doomed. And forget the custom EBs. 2 shot - dead. I never had a chance. I thought she was a really good build, though she is definately not my favorite. I brought in my Katana/Regen stalker and didn't have much issue, but she is lower level which made most story based arcs at my level. The lower the level, the fewer powers open to them.

Tonight, I got a couple of ratings from some very nice people asking me to run and rate theirs. I tried...I really did. This time it was my Dark/Dark Scrapper. She tears the world apart normaly. I run her solo on unyielding for a challange. I absolutely love her. I came out of the first mission thinking that I really stink. I must stink. The first spawn, 4 orange Lutes (custom critters). Knocked me on my butt and proceeded to sucker punch me dead in about 4 hits. Huh? So, I go out and change my CL from 4 to 2. Came back...5 hits instead of 4. At this point, I had been playing a lot and was out of patrol xp...I was in debt. So, I tried a different one. I sent the first author a note about how good I thought the story was, but that I was unable to finish the mission due to the difficulty in the custom mobs. The next mission, the story was wonderful! I was really impressed at how well it was written and how much effort was put into the custom critters. I got a really good look at them from the dirt nap I took after 2 hits from a Lieutenant with a sword. I have damage resistance, I am well slotted, I have no issue with normal content. I died 4 times in the space of 10 minutes. I again had no ability to complete the mission. I am now figuring that I will need to just ignore all mission arcs with custom critters in it, something I really didn't want to have to do.

[/ QUOTE ] You are not alone, sir. BTW I LOL at the dirt nap comments and how good a look you got at them.
  7. So is this a hard TF or just time consuming?

    ''The Hive''

Sounds fun to me .... but the whole dividing up stuff? I've never done that, I'm happy just to walk away with whatever drops I get during the battle if that's ok...

    And again, when?

Particular recipes I'm looking for are scarce on BM right now, that's why I'm rolling silver.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. (But I'm a good guy though - WW not BM)

Edit: However, I am considering the Bronze or Gold classes now ... I think I'll go gold next since I am actually keeping/using some of the recipes I roll for my toon.

I was under the impression that the wentworth selling was across all servers (meaning that I could sell something to a player on another server). Am I mistaken?

    [/ QUOTE ]
    No, that's correct. Why?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I guess I misunderstood this then:

I'll update this thread again next Monday and the Sunday morning after that. 13 days from now, it all goes bye-bye, scattered amongst the masses of Champion server.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Champions meaning the server in CoX , right? (Sorry I'm a bit of a newb still) I thought you were meaning that ... well frankly I'm not sure I understand this at all. Sorry!

Flu-shots: Don't plan on having "one" niche. Find three or four. (Once upon a time I put together a giant list of things I'd made money at... can't find it now.)

Pretty much anything in a power you'd use, at its max level is "Buy one, craft, sell, pocket a million or two."

    [/ QUOTE ]
This is fairly easy to find

    [ QUOTE ]
EDIT: Except things that are "Buy one, craft, sell, pocket twelve million."

[/ QUOTE ] However, I've yet to find this situation and raises a question. At what level of profitability should I feel is good right now? Are you guys finding that a 1-2M net INF trade is too low? Should I *generally* keep searching till I find a 12M net INF trade? Or are 12M trades fairly rare?
  14. Great work but only 2 posts in 5 years?!

Plus, if you go for sub-50s, you'll get them faster and at a severely lower cost.

    [/ QUOTE ]

For most of the IO's I go after, there's a considerably larger supply at max level- admittedly, at a far greater cost. This is because most of everything that people generate in this game is created by level 50's.

Maybe Blood Mandate is so unloved that there are droves of them sitting around at level 36. There are recipes like that.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree. I've found that the <50 versions are often just as expensive b/c of how few there are of them. However, it is good advice to check and see if you can save some INF by shopping the lower levels.
  16. Just wanted to say thanks guys for this thread. Based on what I learned in here, I just sold my first crafted enhancement. It was FLY and I received the recipe from an AE ticket roll. Instead of just selling it, I checked the prices for the recipe, its ingredients and the enhancement. I figured I could make a couple million INF if I crafted it then sold it over just selling the recipe.

Still haven't figured out my niche market yet. But I'm learning and watching.
  17. Thanks for your help guys. I went mostly with the silver rolls and got a few items I was aving for!
  18. Man this thread has gotten me juiced about Wentworths! I'm going to make a goal to understand this better and see how I can make some inf. Is it safe to assume that I should start by working the IO common market? Or is it better to work on the SO market instead? (For a beginner)

PS. My view is you're HELPING people have something they WANT and are willing to pay for. I'm not withholding something from them (that'd be the developer who decides the drop rates, right?).
  19. I'm just curious what the opinons are about the best thing to purchase with your AE tickets. I bought two seperate gold class rolls and got recipies I thought were lame (both pets). Personally, I think I'm better off buying *certain* salavage and selling it. Then using the proceeds to purchase something cool. (and to me something cool is a nifty shinny IO I can use)

    Thoughts?
  20. I'm looking for a Supergroup that has an active community and uses VoIP software (Teamspeak, Ventrillo). Anyone got a suggestion?

For the few that don't know me, I'm a lvl 50 Emp/Arch Defender who is currently found the love of Wentworth/IO sets... and I like to WOOT alot.

send me a tell or pm - @Adogg
  21. I'd LOVE to join you but 10th wedding anniversary and all that night ... major life ending wife aggro ... (might make an interesting MA arch though)
  22. Luna ... I'm considering joining your two night team for the shadow shard TF ... I think I can significantly reduce that death count... and avoid some wife aggro by staying up for 8 hours!
  23. 4-8 hours?! ... MB, how long do you think we can get this done in?
