    I can't see as how this would hurt, tbh. As long as it's something that's relatively easy for them to do (and it might not be... They'd have to make some GUI changes as well as database structure alterations - not always a minor task), it'd make a QoL feature you could use or not.
  2. Personally, I don't think that at all. What I *do* think makes people think the game is heading that way is the perception that there are more fantasy styled weapon MODELS, as well as costume pieces, and that this is what makes them think the game is heading that way.

    Of course, it's all quite silly and totally wrong... Comic books are FULL of fantasy styled costumes and weaponry...

    [/ QUOTE ]I didn't notice any change to toggling forms during play but I'm still using rather simple strategies.
    It was funny (and somewhat embarrasing) when the Tank I was teamed with would get to a mob only to have them blasted to bits around him before he could get more than a couple of hits in.
    I'm left asking, "Did I do that? "
    Then I get, "I'll just stand in the corner while you clear the mission. " from the tank.

    It's to do with being unable to detoggle when powers are queued, so can't drop out of forms until your power queue is cleared. Stops you double miring or double footstomp, and tends to slow down fast shifting in combat, but it's not TOO bad.

    Aside from the crosszone teleporting, WoW is FAR worse a culprit for these, yet manages about 12 million subscribers.

    I'm pretty sure the QoL features have nothing to do with it; it's the genre. Superheroes or scifi combat just aren't as popular as swords and sorcery, and that's unlikely to change.

  8. The release lag and mapservers aside, I'm loving i13 so far; mainly because my PB has become REALLY scary in a fight!

    Zombie raid on Friday night, my health barely moved and I was going through zombies like a hot knife through butter, thanks to almost all my resistances being capped out, and a nice damage boost in there as well. Loving the Cosmic Balance in forms.

    Last night, did an ITF for the first time ever. Even with the problems of Lag Hill, I had a silly amount of fun and with the final fight at the end, the Nictus were barely scratching me!

    Yeah, I like i13. It's made my PB what she should have been from the start!

    You're not clear, are you trying to change it TO Cohupdater.EU.exe, and it says this isn't valid? If so, see the thread near the top of this section telling you how to get the EU updater.
  10. A common problem, which 2 minutes of looking in the Technical Issues and Bugs section would find the answer for you.

    The installer has a bad habit of creating a shortcut for the US version of the game. Check the shortcut properties, and you'll find it's probably pointing to Cityofheroes.exe. Change this to point to Cityofheroes.EU.exe.

    If it refuses to do so, that means the file is missing. There's a thread in the Technical section that will tell you how to get the EU client, stickied near the top.

    Pact problem

    As has been said in one of the dev posts somewhere, the pact server isn't real time and CAN sometimes lag by a few minutes. I've seen this happen several times with my pact buddy and eventually the XP -does- turn up.

    It does... At least, on my PC it does. It didn't used to, but starting doing it with the most recent drivers.

    You've been told this already, but I'll repeat. ONE power has had it's damage reduced by a minimal amount BUT, it's animation time has ALSO been reduced, effectively making it cycle faster. Couple that with the small increase in damage on another power, and you have a net GAIN in DPS overall.

    It's not pants to say that, it's ACCURATE to say that. Overall, your DPS has increased; how is that bad?

    Just because Claws isn't so good for PvP in i13, doesn't mean it's CHANGED. As has clearly been shown, it's actually received an overall BUFF, even if it is a small one. Therefore, the reason you don't see many Claws scrappers in PvP now is because they sucked BEFORE i13, not after.

    Therefore, your entire argument is null and void.

    Now, if you want to argue about Claws being rubbish OVERALL, that's a different matter and nothing to do with i13.

    Oh I understood what you meant, mate. I was just pointing out that the same reasoning applies to the PvP changes and it really doesn't make sense to add THEM into the game without the rest of the changes, either.

    So, seeing as they DID with PvP, you shouldn't be surprised that they do it with something ELSE too!

    It doesn't help much I know, but this one isn't a new i13 bug. It's been around since the Midnighter's were introduced to the game. You'll need to raise a /petition to get a GM to sort it for you.

    What, a bit like the PvP changes are mostly for Arena or Base (now disabled) PvP, and zonal changes coming later? Yeah, don't see why they implemented THOSE now either.
