Meanwhile, Miss Ellie has been attracted to Kiyarii, gone out with Mileena, kissed Kiyarii, broke up with Milleena and started going out with Grav, who was dating Yoko and then they split up and then went out with Ellie.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually, it was more like: Attracted to Kiyarii, gone out with Mileena, got kissed BY Kiyarii, broke up with Mileena, then Grav broke up with Yoko, THEN Ellie...

Ah.. who am I kidding... OK, she's a chariot...

VII The Chariot - Miss Ellie

    Thoughts anyone?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yeah... I object!!!

Ellie and Grav should be The Lovers! Seeing as they just got engaged!

Or Ellie swaps with Min.. She's a much worse chariot than Ellie! And Ellie's as bright as a star, so she'd fit as a sun...
  5. Not voluteering anyone... but both CatKeeper and Jedi are very good artists...
  6. Not a bad idea... Give it a go!!

I like to do missions both IC and OOC... OOC tend to go quicker, but once in a while, RPing a mission can be great fun too!

Though... Getting it known could be a problem. Ask those Evolution Radio chaps to throw an ad out every once in a while for you! Maybe the occaisional add on arena chat (Hey, the Evo Radio guys do it! )
  7. Funnily enough... I did bandy about the idea of Miss Ellie working in the newspaper as a gossip columnist... Given her hearing etc

Discarded the idea as I didn't want her lynched!
  8. Please feel free to come along to the nightly Galaxy Girl meets from 9pm onwards. We are not the only roleplay on the Union server, but we are perhaps the best known and easiest to find.

We have a global chat channel, GGOOC, which anyone is free to join. Feel free to do so and ask any questions you wish, we try to keep local chat to In Character (IC) as much as is possible.

Come along, observe, see what you think. Feel free to join in as you wish and ask as many questions as needed, we're a friendly bunch, honest!! /em Glares at Rebel

And if our style is not to your taste, there are plenty of other people who roleplay! I wish you luck in finding something to your tastes!

    To you RPing n00bs

    [/ QUOTE ]

Now, you see... You've just insulted EVERYONE who already RP's in the game... Well done, a round of applause. Magnificent way to validate your opinion.

You now have NO chance of getting what you want, not that you did anyway.

Now, please read this very carefully...

We HAVE a roleplay community in CoH. We have HAD a roleplay community for nearly a year. We do not need our existing community replacing with something which is not our current community.
  10. Just thought I'd add my 50p worth... It's a bit rambling, but you can see my meaning easily enough.

Before I came across the GG meets last July, I'd never roleplays before in my life. I hung around for a bit, tried a couple of ideas out, nothing that went anywhere, and just got to know the general guidelines before I felt comfortable. Then I started to join in. Just a little at first, but that grew until I know get people asking ME what to do!

If there'd been a ruleset I had to learn before I would be allowed 'in' as it were, I'd have just walked away from it and not bothered.

Roleplay in CoH is of a more casual vein. In a sense we have a kind of ruleset, it's called respecting your fellow players.

Now, I've made some mistakes in my RP; stuff I may not have done with a guiding set of rules, but I -learned- from those mistakes, and they've made me a faily OK roleplayers... Certainly, I'm comfortable doing so now. When I made the mistakes, people told me what I'd done wrong, and explained more appropriate methods of doing what I wanted to do. These were not rules, they were suggestions, ones which helped me a lot. Maybe putting these to print is a good idea, but truthfully, most of them are pretty much common sense anyway, and covered in what general guides we DO have...

We've also, over the past few weeks, had a large number of newer people start to arrive at the GG meets, and quite likely other people are roleplaying at other places too. These people seem to be enjoying their roleplay so far. Why scare them off with a big tome they must read and comply with or be ignored?

So, what I'm trying to say is... We don't NEED a set of rules telling us what we can and can't do. All that will do is scare people off who've never done it before and want to give it a go, just like I did half a year ago...

We have a nice boat here, it's quite stable, got a spare set of oars, a nice outboard motor, and the sun is shining in the sky... Why make us sail into unclement weather?

You've missed Prize going a bit odd and losing her mind

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Cue Twilight Zone music...
  12. I'm seeing some very scary similarities between Prize's history, and Miss Ellie's... And never knew about Prize until now!
  13. Oh please don't tell me you just used the M word... You DO know the Librarian from Unseen University has visited here before right?

    I've still got the limp...
  14. Right... *cracks knuckles, gets a beer, prepares for a long verbal assult*

    Ready for this?

    You sure?

OK... You'd better sit down then, this will take awhile.

    I Like it!!

    Just one thing....

    Where's the rest?
  15. Ahem... Cause I'm at work you bugger and haven't had time to read it at leisure yat, and I want to read it properly, not rush through!

    I'll do so after work!
  16. I too enjoyed the story, but it has a major flaw.

It's a summary! Inny, get your rear in front of your PC and write it up as a proper piece of fiction, or Miss Ellie will make your life hell!
  17. I agree completely... Though, if B & R want to keep the competition open, then maybe leave the judging to the readers in the form of a poll? Saves the mods having to read all the stories and stuff that get posted, they just list them for voting every month or so...
  18. Sometimes, you just gotta let go to childhood joys and grow up, y'know?

And now for something completely different...

    Linky!!
  19. Nah.. The 'intent' joke had been done... It was old news man... I'm taking the thread beyond the 'intent' joke into a while new world of smutty humour...

No, I never play members of the opposite sex in tents.

    What about in the bushes?
  21. Hmm... That's the problem with a text medium, tone of voice doesn't come across. What I meant was, it's a shame it's taken them so long to notice and change it, when they really should have done so ages ago. By now the SG has probably gotten well known, and well established, and now they're going to lose some of that, which I don't really see as fair to be honest.

I've no problem with what they call their SG, it's more how the GM's enforce their rules. Given the age rating of the game, the word 'Sex' surely should be on the forbidden list already? As it obviously isn't, then changing their name because they happen to use a permitted word is hardly fair. One can only assume they've been petitioned about it...

Hmmm... Still not 100% sure that says what I mean... Oh well...

As for Miss Ellie's past behaviour, that's an entirely different set of rules so shush! Besides, she's a good kitten now, and you're a fine one to talk anyway!!! At least Miss Ellie doesn't poke peoples eyes out from 10 paces!!
  22. What's the dictionary got to do with the age rating of the game? It's a shame it took them 6 months to notice, but then, calling your SG by that name was daft anyway...
  23. I suspect it's more likely to do with the 12+ rating of the game actually...
