Ah, that's much clearer, thanks. It also explains why my brand new and totally clean system doesn't exhibit this problem, as the latest WHQL drivers are the first ones ever installed on it, so there's no issue with older file versions being in there still.

So, to summarise; it's likely being caused by drivers not updating properly when you upgrade. Manually uninstalling them should solve the issue.

I really don't see why people are getting so uptight over a little QoL suggestion. Some people want it, some people don't. I can't see any sensible reason why not, personally, but it seems to be getting all blown WAY out of proportion!

Body type, along with all dimensions and costume information, is already stored in the characters slot information. Try looking at a demofile sometime.

You're not a programmer Stase, but I am. Based on my experience, I can assure you that text strings for things like badges are NOT stored in your characters badge table; only ID numbers will be. Another ID number would be used for minor things like reference to the character sex. Change the ID number, ALL the text you see automatically changes with it.

This would NOT be a large change when compared with some of the recent QoL changes, as it's purely a cosmetic change. The only thing they'd need to do after selecting the new body type, is remove any gender specific costume items and set them back to defaults.

There's a HUGE number of quite valid reasons for being able to do this, most of which have been mentioned already. It doesn't hurt anyone, so why not?

I've always played squishies. Blasters or PB's mostly. Debt is a good friend of mine and has NEVER EVER worried me! Even at i3 levels!

It would also greatly help those of us who's characters are shape shifters!

I think there are some silly regulations from the gaming commission that require competitions that are basically free draws to have come kind of qualifying question, so they ask stupidly easy ones to get around it.

It's not REALLY a competition folks, it's a free draw (not that that's a bad thing!).
