No because Jay is funny, BAB comes across as rude, rudeness I can do without, funniness is okay.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Your opinion != fact.

Personally, I find totally the opposite. Jays's about as funny as trapping your privates in a wood chipper, BaB cracks me up.

And if you can do without rudeness, why do you employ it so much?

On another tack, I have a hunch the in-game fiction for the architect terminals will involve Hero Corps.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Alternatively: Portal Corps.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The PCC is being presented as training simulator missions, so far more likely to be Hero Corps than Portal Corp.

    > So I can't get a refund? This sucks... Maybe it's because I got the combined edition instead of just one or the other CoX games. I was looking forward to that too...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I didn't say that, I just said that we, as fellow players, can't help you. You need to contact support directly. They CAN help you.
  4. You'll have to raise a support ticket on this I'm afraid. Nothing we can do to help you.

Weeping and wondering why they ever left spandex for chainmail

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'm actually changing the spandex for a Spaceship.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Spandex in space is acceptable

*Cue DreamWeaver running in and mentioning Captain Tightpants.

I think it's probably forbidden knowledge - the sort that would drive us insane if we were to learn about it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Clearly not an issue for anyone in these forums.
  7. Well, the first step would be to test your RAM with something like Memtest. If it runs through that without errors, then it's time to do some research and find the best timings for your brand. Same goes for the CPU. A lot of people are reporting minor increases in CPU voltage of about 0.1 volt, are helping with stability.

There are plenty of threads about it on the Nvidia forums, including suggested voltages and memory timings.

YEah guess I'll have to - everything else is running at top speed though so thats what i dont understand :S

    [/ QUOTE ]

You have other downloads running as well? Probably best to pause those whilst CoH downloads.
  9. It'll probably go faster outside of peak hours, if that's any consolation. Try leaving your PC on overnight, it'll probably finish by the morning.
  10. Have you guys tried reading the Nvidia forums? People there seem satisfied the crash problems are pretty much cured, being caused by a mixture of improper voltage settings, RAM timings, and clean power supplies...
  11. The problem, then, is almost certainly going to be down to your ISP. I generally get around 600-700k/sec.
  12. Stop it and restart it again. CoH uses ports that several ISPs misidentify as bittorrent traffic. Restarting it will make it select a different port. It will resume from where it left off.

As to how many will be playing them, it might also depend on whether they are "instant access", in that you go straight into the mission without having to travel to the mission door:

    [/ QUOTE ]

I hope not. Some of my planned story arcs involve getting started with specific contacts, without having to make the first mission a delivery mission

    [/ QUOTE ]

Remember, they've already said the PCC will be presented to us as "training simulator" missions. Somewhat like a danger room sort of thing.

I have never done a mothership raid. I would definalty be interested in bring Wild Red out to play.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That'd be interesting, especially if I bought Burned Ice out.
  15. Given the limit to the number of missions you can submit, I hope you can withdraw missions and replace them with others. It would be incredibly short sighted if they don't allow that.
  16. Rating systems are, by their very nature, only a rough guide to how good something may or may not be. For a better picture, you need to know other stats such as how many votes, and how many actually completed the mission or arc. I would presume though, that if you exit PC missions before completion, you won't be able to rate it. Just seeing stars though, is relatively meaningless.

Perhaps some method of leaving some comments for a mission when you rate it? Doesn't need to be large, make it like eBay's feedback system perhaps, but anonymous. That'll give a better idea of what people think of the mission that just a couple of stars would.

Of course, one of the criteria for getting favoured status may be: ensure you create a mission in the US.

I'd like some assurances that the folks in NCSoft Europe have just as much say here as the devs in the States.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think that's covered by the cross server part.
  18. There are two things I'd like to make the mission creator feature most useful.

    1) Access to mayhem/safeguard maps, for the destructible environment.
    2) Ability to create my own villain, and please, I don't want to be limited to just human. What if I want to make a ghost, or a killer whirlwind or something? Please please PLEASE let us use power fx as costume items! (A ghost character that generates a constant whirlwind IS actually something I want to make... It's essential for an arc I want to create! )

    NEED HELP PLEASE

I run at 1440x900 and the game runs fine in that resolution, but setting it can be a little quirky.

What you need to do is the following:

    1) Select the required resolution (Use 1440x900 (Desktop) )
    2) Click Apply. You will be told you need to restart the game.
    3) Select the correct resolution AGAIN (Do NOT click apply)
    4) Quit the game
    5) Reload. All should now be well.

Step 3 is essential. Miss it out, and it won't work.
  20. That's rather a lot of scaremongering. The exploit cannot run if you leave UAC enabled, and thus IE will be running in protected mode and the DLL needed won't have access to the rest of the system. Ignore it, guys.
