EDIT: Most of the time it's suggested by people who don't play at peak times, or who are fairly new, or who just don't realise that most of the game is set in instances, so of course the zones will appear empty.

Check your shortcut. Odds are it's pointing to "CohUpdater.exe" instead of "CohUpdater.EU.exe"

Can't help with finding the list, as I don't use NOD32, but I do know a recent update of that is what is causing the false positive. It DOES have an exclusion list though; you'll just have to look for it.

No idea, I don't know what AV (Anti-virus) program you use. They all have somewhere where you can tell them not to check specific files though. That's where you want to add the CoH exe's.

Quad core processors are a complete waste of money for a gaming machine. The games will NOT use the extra cores to any great advantage... You'd be better off getting something like an E8400 Wolfdale. Faster core speed, and cheaper than the quad. Quads are really only of use for people doing heavy video editing work, photoshopping or 3D modelling.

Zalman's are nice, but unless you're planning to overclock, any more than the stock cooler really isn't worth bothering about. I have an E8400 with stock fan and it idles at about 34c. Full load at 51c which is nowhere near the thermal limits for the processor. I've run a short term overclock to 3.5ghz (don't really need to OC) and it stayed under 60c at full load with the stock fan.

For the sound card; these days on-board audio is more than adequate for most people. I'd really only consider splashing out here if you're an audiophile. Most people can't hear the difference between onboard audio and high priced cards.

You won't regret Vista. It runs sweet as a nut, and with drivers now mature, games are often FASTER than XP.

What's the version number? Have you compared it against what's been posted to the test server?

Just add CoH to your AV exclusion list. It's a false positive.

You're regged on the EU forum, so you have the EU game. There's a bug which sometimes sets up the US game. Read the sticky at the top of this forum on how to sort out the EU client. It only takes a couple of minutes.

What's going on with the forums lately? I've been getting a LOT of "service unavailable" errors the last few days, and the US ones are doing similar.

Are the servers being affected by after effects of the hurricane they had in Texas? The servers ARE, after all, down that way.
