Except that they didn't even fix the actual reported bugs, so if they DID read it, they ignored the feedback given.

How do you quantify "enough", because clearly a 27 page/500 post thread about the issues wasn't even close.
  3. Hey devs, keep doing gormless stuff like this and people WILL give EA their money on the 20th.
  4. That's very borderline me being able to make it... Friday is dinner at inlaws and shopping night...

You're joking, right? Have you SEEN the camera emote?
  6. Oh yes, enourmously so! I suspect, though, that now she's had a taste of her own medicine, she'll probably come back even more dangerous than before! Still, Ellie SAID she had a plan!

Anyway, last night, after going to see a few people about things, Ellie would have arrived at the mansion with several sets of clothes for Tam.
  7. Newsflash

The TV presenter looked calmly into the camera as, in the corner of the screen, a low quality still image of a woman, clearly snapped with a camera phone, engulfed in flames faded in to shot.

"This morning, a horrific attack occurred at the Port Market as an unidentified assailant attempted to kill the hero known as Tiger White. In the attack, the assailant used some kind of magic fire as she attempted to immolate her intended victim, and five bystanders were killed in the cowardly attack. Tiger White valiantly fought off her attacker, reportedly wounding her severely in the process."

"Unfortunately, the attacker was able to escape after she forced the hero to defend more civilians from her flames, but in a statement given shortly after, Ms White swore that she would bring the guilty party to justice, one way or another."

"Paragon city police are currently investigating the incident, but we have been able to obtain some low resolution footage taken from a camera phone of the incident. In this footage, a small segment clearly shows the face of the attacker."

The image in the corner shifts and zooms in, filling the screen with the features of Sha'Atael, twisted in fury and half covered in blood from her broken nose.

"Although the image isn't clear thanks to her injuries, the attacker closely resembles the hero known as Fea, and we are sure that the police and FBSA will quickly act to bring her in for questioning."
  8. I expect it to be full of bugs, all of which would have been reporting during the beta stage, and all of which will go live anyway.

In my mind I imagined it might be cool if we got special Ouroboros arcs that basically let us live out various moments in the lives of existing Incarnates.

An arc dedicated to learning what was the turning point in Tyrant's life where he accepted that people could never be trusted, an arc where Statesman gave up and resigned himself to his present state, where Lord Recluse first learned that one day the Well may consume him, where Stheno rises to power and founds the Snakes, Trapdoor's Escape, or Hero 1's discovery of Excalibur.

Possibly even delve into Incarnates of the past, such as Gilgamesh or Cu Chulainn? (Assuming either one are, Gilgamesh is strongly implied to have possibly been the first Incarnate according to the Lore)

Of course, other ideas mentioned are much better but I'd hope that if they're going to shove the Incarnate lore path down our throats we could at least learn more about what the hell these guys are.
Ewww, no way. Firstly, why should playing as someone else increase my characters incarnate power? Secondly, I want to play MY character, thanks... Not some random NPC with powersets I'm not familiar with.

Basically something that says, "You will need to work on your build if you want to truely solo these missions"
Which will mean everyone will end up having to min/max their builds, which is counter to what the devs have tried to get us to us in the past.
  11. Last night, Ellie was actually getting pretty annoyed that people seemed to think Tarvin getting hurt was actually funny, and had a go at them for it, too! Then she stormed off, ostensibly to take a look at the crime scene, but actually to stop herself decking Rauri or Wrench.

She's hoping the demon takes a shot at her soon, before anyone else gets hurt. Everyone forgets who she's married to... Ellie has a plan!
  12. Having now SEEN it in game, here's some constructive criticism.

    1. Its colouring is too faded/washed out. It's back looks GREY!
    2. Its emote cycle is WAY too fast. Don't do not stand up, sit down, lay down, scratch, stand etc in so rapid a cycle. It's ridiculous, and really distracting. Sort that out.
    3. It's still to bleedin' expensive!
  13. That's one of the bleedin' sites that recommended StopZilla!!!

Malwarebytes is the one I usually use, but it was disabled by this damned malware.

Nope... StopZilla was MEANT to be the "recommended" malware remover of preference for this particular piece of malware. Yeah, people ACTUALLY recommended malware to remove malware... Nice.
  16. Depending on time, I'll probably be around.

Sorry for the sudden bail last night, folks. The missus got a sudden malware driveby attack last night that I had to go deal with. Unfortunately, it's a little toerag called "System Fix" that fakes loads of HD failure messages, wipes all your restore points, wipes most of your program links and points them at more fake alerts, and then worst of all, all the Googling brought back instructions for removal which include installing an app called "StopZilla".

Oh boy, do I regret THAT! NEVER install this program, folks, it's a scam. It generates false positives, doesn't get rid of any real threats and hijacks your browser to redirect to its own website and a "Buy me" link. You can't get rid of it either!

So later today, her machine gets a full wipe and Windows reinstall. Fun!
  17. Wow, 500 points for a vanity pet? Sorry devs, but I'm thinking of two words here, the second is off, and the first is rude. Work it out.

I ran a D&D campaign which lasted some 9 years or so -- longer than Greyhawk -- based in 1640s Europe, and there was plenty of character progression, so I can appreciate that style too. I'm not telling everyone they all have to become Golden Age tropes, I'm just looking for a small group of people who would enjoy doing so.
Ah, but roleplaying is NOT acting. They share some similarities, but at the end of the day, an actor is portraying a role where the entire story and conclusion are known, every sentence is scripted and there are no surprises. Roleplaying is not like that. In most cases the plot only exists as a basic framework and the entire story changes depending on the actions of those involved.

To go to all that effort and then throw away everything that developed from that story is, in my opinion, wasteful of the time and effort involved.
  19. ^ You'd be wrong then. I'm 42 in a couple of weeks and from my experience with comics back in the 70's and 80's (mostly Spider-Man and X-Men), there WAS character progression even then. Characters did not stay in a static bubble, at least not the ones I enjoyed.

IMO, there's little point in roleplaying if you're not going to get any kind of character progression from it. That's what roleplaying is, playing a role.

Oh, and no matter how you reason it away, putting roleplayers in quotes like that IS going to irritate people, so kindly stop it.
  20. Last night Ellie demonstated to a large bunch of CoT demons that annoying a Londoner is REALLY bad for their health as she obliterated them in a single blast.

She also demonstrated that she can't half swear!
  21. For me at least, I really see no point in roleplaying if there's never any character progression. I see that as one of the most important parts of my roleplay and without it I'd never gain any kind of attachment to my characters. It seems to be a pretty common opinion too.

So, although I wish the OP all the best with his endeavour and hope that he gets enough respondants to get something going, I won't be taking part.

BTW, loved the rhyming responses at the start!
  22. Can't be there... My boy finishes youth club at 8 and I have to go collect him... More like 8:30 before I'll be back.
  23. Maybe we should share it? After all, it was Fea's idea, but I wrote it.
