It sounds like you either have a faulty video card OR, you're suffering from an overheating problem, possibly due to faulty fans.
If you or your husband aren't up on diagnosing and fixing PC problems, you might need to contact a local PC store; but if possible, do NOT take it to PC World. They'll charge you an arm and a leg, tell you it's dead, and try to sell you a new one. They'll also erase your hard drive. Take it to a proper computer store if you can. -
Hi Nariya,
As Shadowe says, first thing to try is check the "Safe Mode" option in the updater and see if that helps. Another thing to try is your graphics drivers. Have you recently updated these? If now, please try doing so.
Are you running any extra programs in the background, such as Stardock's Windowsblinds (which is known to have problems with CoH). -
Well.. Just remember to log your chars out in appropriate day job locations.
-
Well.. I need SOMEwhere to discuss my story arcs about the wholesale slaughter of anything short, blue, and singing.

Easy fix. Give door mobs the same aggro control as ambushes; they only aggro on the team that clicks the door, unless you attack them. Add a bit of Clockwork pursuit code, and Robert is your mum's brother.

Oooh, fame!

Gotta go with Mother's Love for my No.1 spot. Easily one of the friendliest guys (yes, he's a he!) on Union!
Zortel! THE RPer, in my opinion! Once ran an RP scene where she played about 12 characters at once, and one of my best friends.
Has caused the phrase, "Pulling a Z" to be fairly common parlance in RP, at least for the GG crowd anyway, and also help run the Union roleplayers wiki.
Swissy! Top man in the art department. Always ready to give good advice to struggling artists!
_Cass_! For being blunt.
Always a breath of fresh air, once you've deciphered what he's typed, that is.

I thought they said they were going to timeshare one of their German speaking mods from one of their other games? Doesn't seem to have happened, does it?
-
He's basically saying the German players are feel abandoned and frustrated by NC's almost complete abandonment of the German boards, and that his thread in the German section about it got closed without comment. If what he says it true, I think it's a quite legitimate complaint.

*Ponders having Cara hide in the back of the car for lol's.
-
Cara'd be up for it, if she wasn't major jailbait!

Ellie's too... messed up, right now; but Eloise would go!
Oh... and ROADTRIP!
-
Both? Wait 20 mins... if that doesn't work, petition it.
-
Glad you guys had fun, and surprised that the server survived!

I bet the hamster is knackered!
-
Whoohoo! Now we just need the chat restrictions lifted and emotes turned back on!
-
Well, it usually takes repeated petitions before someone is actioned for harassment or griefing, so maybe he didn't cross the threshold? That say, perhaps what you petitioned him for wasn't actually against the rules, or there was insufficient evidence to prove what he did?
Either way, the GM's *do* take action against people where warranted. -
The same reason there is for doing ANYthing in life, personal gratification. Not everyone is driven by it, but many many people are.

I did that with something similar a while back, that person is still running around.
Ive reported multiple people in the past and the gms did NOTHING.

I'd like to know how you know they did nothing, especially as they can't TELL you what they do. Corrective action can take many forms, starting with a warning, procedure to a short term ban, and possibly continuing to a full ban. How do you know he wasn't warned or temp banned? -
Can I have your stuff? KTHXBAI!

It shall amuse me greatly when Defiant crashes tonight.

Took part in one last night in Talos and it was the worst Lag fest I've been in. Worse than the Rikti Ship during a big raid, worse than lag hill in the ITF. So bad in fact people were leaving the zone!
I took part in one in Talos the night before and it was okay and quite playable. Hope it was just a minor glitch or it'll ruin the whole thing.

When hit by such a lag bomb, go to your video settings and turn all world and char detail to minimum, as well as the particle count; and make sure both suppress options are on. The game will look pants, but the worst of your lag should vanish.
And no, it's NOT an ideal solution, but it does at least help. -
Using workarounds and hacks are a sure fire way to get yourself banned from the game, and definitely NOT something I'd ever want to get involved in anyway.

As a hint, however, just like Rikti events there is a secondary trigger that can be activated by the actions of players.

Someone pop into Croatoa and kill Eochi and Jack!

Probably too soon, though having it before release would facilitate discussion about it; but once the Mission Architect is released, can we pretty please have a forum section dedicated to it? Somewhere where architects can discuss the whole process?
Getting it sooner would be nice, as we could discuss story ideas etc... -

Dude, please remove my real name from your post.

Thanks.
As for the rest of your post, I've already explained my reasoning up above. I've little issue with farming missions if they at least have an attempt at a story. If they don't, they're just going to get a thumbs down. All quite within the rules and nothing vindictive about it. I just don't want the MA getting overrun by poor quality content.
Take my little Freakulator example. Depending on the capabilities of the MA, it would probably need the following.
<ul type="square"> [*] Selectable map for a museum type setting[*] Dialog scripting for mob encounters[*] Placeable glowies you would need to rescue from attacking mobs[*] Mob ambushes to simulate actual rampaging[*] An EB/AV encounter in the boss room[/list]
Add that to my bit of blurb, and what is still essentially a farming map ALSO becomes a fun little story, actually set as a simulator mission, which is what the MA *is*. A lot more interesting than just a warehouse map loaded with Freaks standing about, no? And would only take a little more effort to do.
In fact, I think I'll knock this up as my first mission, so take note everyone! This one's copyrighted to me! No pinching it!
It was a typo!
