TBH, if the status is having a busy night, it's probably NOT the best time to intro a new character. With all the fast moving text, it greatly increases the chance that people just won't NOTICE you!

I was given to believe the zombies stopped yesterday sometime, and they seem to be still going.
By now, more or less every non-tree plant in Paragon is dead. The Devouring Earth have probably lost a third of their number.
When's it due to stop?

Hmm... I discovered an interesting thing the other day that MIGHT be responsible... Maybe.
Remember Saturday evening when there was a raid in Galaxy that finished, but the sky didn't change back for ages? You commented on it at the time that it'd be a good time to faceplant without debt.
That was me and Shadowe.
We were floating above a pretty large spawn of zombies, out of attack range, but within sight of them (They kept spawning in the air and falling down, was funny!). Anyway, because we could see them, the game engine wouldn't let them despawn, and was locking the event open. We finally noticed (thanks to your comment) and moved out of sight of them, and second later they despawned and the sky returned to normal. -

Oh, my PC is definitely way up there in the "good" classification.

But your double-quotes are way up there in the "amusing" classification.

Pfft. That's the crappy forum software. I've given up trying to delete the doubles it causes. It's hard enough getting anything to post as it is! -

However I do have a bit of a rant here. For those in the case as me who've been on bootcamp, what happens if want to use the Mac version specifically? I have all my vet rewards and chars on my current account which is of course the Windows version of the game. I would LOVE to use this on OSX as the drivers for the gfx are better than the tweaked ones for XP. BUT, I would be furious if I were unable to retain all the chars and achievements I've got over the 2 years I've been playing.

Why rant about something when a couple of minutes of reading the official announcement thread for this topic would actually give you the answer you're looking for? -

Technically, that command actually causes the game to crash; not something I'd advise other people to do...
Do it properly. Type /quit and click the box that appears; Instant out.
[/ QUOTE ]
But that takes you to the Desktop, not back to the Log on screen, doesn't it? Which is what Lost is trying to avoid here, his brings you back to the Log on screen.

Hmm... Curious. Last time I tried that command, the whole client crashed... -

Actually, you're both right and wrong; we've gone over this several times in the past few years...
What NC have a right too, is the free but non-exclusive rights to USE any and all character designs, backgrounds, concepts etc you create, in perpetuity, without needing to make any payment to you, or to seek your permission in advance. BUT, they do not take OWNERSHIP of said character designs, backgrounds, concepts etc. These remain yours and you can do with them what you like EXCEPT deny NC the right to also use them as they wish. -

((If you had your head bitten off for handling of a GG situation that you didn't appreciate being dragged into by way of /tells left right and centre in a manner someone who wasn't even paying attention in the first place strongly disagreed with AND had a plot largely ignored by everyone before you ended up having to cram in some stupid and frankly unnecessary 'hook' just to get people to take the hell notice - oh, and had a character completely blanked even though he'd just fallen out of the sky and was ranting his head off like a complete trooper shortly after, ALL in the space of a few months, I think you'd understand, thankyooverymuch.

Perhaps there's a REASON for that?

Re the original post. It's not really surprising... Afterall.. The GM staff went from 17 people, down to 7... They just don't have the resources to investigate.

Seems like I Killed a n00b will be the winner cos its got 2 votes (me and Soul_Storm)...
Wait, GR, come back, pwease!
[/ QUOTE ]
They're not votes. This has been said again and again and again. Read the rules and UNDERSTAND them. 1 nomination, or 1 billion nominations, it's all the same. Only the FIRST one counts. -

O.k besides the stuff we alrdy know of i13/i14 what else couldnt they/we do now compared to like 2 yrs bk? (i know 2 yrs is a big gap technology wise)..does make u wonder

I could tell you... But then I'd have to kill you to protect the secret.
-
A damn shame.. And so many said they were going too...
-
I'd just like to say, in the full knowledge that Z IS going to kill me slowly when she sees this post, and even though I'm unable to attend...
I think Z should get some goodies for arranging this meet up! A yellow ingame title, or a PPD code, or game time... SOMEthing at least! She's put a lot of hard work into arranging all this and it should not go unrecognized!
Now, I must prepare to flee for my life.
-
Now you see, that's actually not a bad idea. AND the tech for it already exists in the game too! (Warburg)

It'll be useful on those low level missions in Atlas though. The ones where you have to spend 10 minutes jogging across the map to the far corner...

Or, red-side, those damn Thorn Tree Isle missions that keep cropping up post-30. And the Technician Naylor ones. What is it about Nerva that made them put all the repeatedly-used mission doors miles away from the zone entrances?
[/ QUOTE ]
Sadism.
Personally, I blame War Witch, as she's the one who places the mission doors.

Whu?!?
5 CD's is LESS than 1 DVD, let alone 2. Computer programs, especially games, are getting bigger and bigger. Already we're getting single games on multiple DVD's. Give it 3-5 years, we'll all be putting Blu Ray drives into our machines. -
*sigh* That's it, I'm totally sick of this rubbish forum software!

It's bad enough that it sometimes takes 8 or more retries to post anything, but the duplicates too!? GAH!!
From now on, I'm not gonna bother trying to edit or delete double posts... Sick and tired of all the blasted time outs and "Form is invalid" errors. It's enough to drive a person away from the forums altogether!

GR has said their fix for the event stops working after downtime, so they have to kick it again. GR! Get kicking!

Time to start wearing your winter woollies under the spandex, folks!
Ellie's eBoutique is open for business!

Castle (I think it was him) has actually said he'd love to get mini-games like capture the flag and king of the hill in to PvP. I think PvP NEEDS something like that, tbh.
Thanks a bunch, Doc!
