Quote:Oi! I'm not daft you know, I'm so not going to follow ANY links that could risk me ending up on a Killer Klowns video. That damn movie caused my whole problem!!

The login problems, which causes a multitude of OTHER problems such as losing track of "last read" posts. This has been around for well over a year now.
The broken hero skin, which causes lost images and broken page borders. This started a month or two ago. -

Just remember one thing.
Absolutely.
NO.
Clowns.
Ever.
Clowns are not funny! -

Quote:Yeah, he could. He's also an admin for fairly well known Minecraft server and 3 Kyu's short of his first Dan in karate. So your 11 year old can create a forum setup that interfaces w/ a international store and a game? interesting...
on another note, I personally don't care for the gold forum name =\ -
Joke accessories have their place, and we could definitely do with more. Brain in a jar? Like the Clockwork King? That'd be awesome. I suggest watching a couple of hours of the old Roadrunner cartoons for inspiration from ACME.

Quote:"Tens of thousands" of customers who aren't giving NCSoft any money at all vs hundreds of customers who ARE. They're still more important because they represent a fatter possible cash cow and they've already GOT our money.Still, either have personnel spend time setting up hardware to alleviate excessive load so that a game's servers don't implode leaving tens of thousands unable to play a game, or running maintenance to fix some annoying but hardly crippling forum bugs. Hmmm, i can see where that would be a tough call.
And while i really want to get the forum issues fixed ASAP i have to admit i would choose the server if it was my call.
*crossing fingers that Monday will finally be the day the forums get fixed* (And quite possibly broken in all new ways.)
And since when to forum development staff work on setting up game servers anyway? Totally different skill set. -
So we get to wait again, whilst yet another of NCSofts's MMO's heads down the toilet. Yay.

Now there's a surprise...

NOT GOOD ENOUGH, PARAGON STUDIOS. NOT GOOD ENOUGH BY A LOOOOOOOONG WAY. -
^ It's even worse if you access from multiple locations like me. I have my home PC, my work PC, my many smartphones and several tablet PC's. I have to relogin every time on each one, and some of them I have to login 3 - 6 times in a row before it will actually stick... Until I post and it unsticks again...
It's garbage... My 11 year old could setup forums better, and that's no exaggeration. -
Nah, I wouldn't ask you to not comment even if I could. I've just stopped seeing it as a joking matter, it's been way too bleedin' long for funny.

Quote:Well, just to reiterate, this is a MAJOR subscription-ending point for me. I'm sick and tired of the lack of visible action on this, it's been going on for YEARS and complaints have gone mostly unanswered. The log out issue is definitely a priority for us here at Paragon, and the web team in Seattle is working on it. This goes on a list of things such as getting the character copy tool working and fixing the Hero skin.
I've been meeting with the manager of the web team every week. This issue is not falling by the wayside as we continue to communicate it as a priority. -
The forum logout issue is one of the factors in my considering droppping to Preem soon. If I can't enjoy the forums, why bother paying for them? I'm utterly sick and tired of Paragon Studios ignoring this problem.

Quote:Group telepathy could be really interesting for my main as she's a psi-blank and just wouldn't have a clue what was going on...As a quick note, because it's something we had to find out for our Star Patrol night, leagues do not share exp or drops or anything else but DO stay formed while the various teams are on their own missions, which means they're remarkably good for being able to use league chat as an IC format for RPing "radio" or "telepathy" or whatever.
That way, OOC chat channels remain OOC.That could lead to.... interesting... consequences.

Quote:You forgot the wedding pack, for which part of it STILL doesn't accept the second colour (the skirt iirc).Given that the pretinting is texture based and revisiting would essentially mean the objects are just re-skinned without the tinted texture, the art time should decrease dramatically.
For making new models, I agree that would be time consuming.
In either case, can time be set aside for beyond issue 23 to at the very least address the pretinting issue that plagues the "premiere" costume sets (in no order):- Magic
- Halloween
- Steampunk
- Celestial
- Halloween
- Ascension
- Gunslinger
- Arachnos Helms
- VEAT Costumes (all parts have pre-tinted issues)

Quote:Oh, I didn't for an instant think it was anything other than amicable. To elaborate, Jay joined his friends start up. He had been with Paragon for over 7 years and contributed greatly to the artistic development of the game, in fact you're going to be seeing the results of his work for some time to come. It's also worth pointing out, CoH was the only game Jay had worked on in the gaming sector, so it's understandable that he'd want to broaden his portfolio and experience a bit more.
Basically, he couldn't tell his friend "no" anymore and made the leap over. We certainly miss him and wish him all the best. Good news is, we still have two very experienced and veteran artists with both Eric and Cheryl and a new addition joining the art team soon.People move on in the industry, it's the way it works.

Z echoes many of my sentiments, but mine go deeper than just these last few costume packs.
Whether I drop VIP or not I haven't decided yet, but if I do it won't be just because of this particular pack, but because I don't like the direction this game or the devs have been taking since they announced Freedom. I knew then that the game was going to go somewhere I didn't like, and so far, I'm being proven right.
I will be buying TOR, whether I actually play beyond the first month remains to be seen, but if it has enough to engage me then EA will likely be getting my 8.99 a month, not Paragon Studios.
Paragon Studios, you shouldn't have taken the game down this road.
