  1. Precision Rangers had a red/white colour scheme but actual outfits could vary and we took in any blaster powerset. Was still impressive when we had a big turnout for a photo shoot - too bad I can't find the piccy.

    There is still a core group of 1AT members on regularly and some of the coalition SGs are still sort of active - for example I keep Team GBH's (scrappers) base running.

    Cryo Magnon, Ice/Mace - created when this was the worst combo to pick, still possibly the worst combo to pick.
    Cosmic Colossus, Inv/EM - 4ft alien from a galaxy with a different coloured sun!

    Defiant
    None! At least none that I can remember, it's difficult to keep track of all these alts.

    Vigilance
    Captain Caledonia, Inv/SS

    Seem to have a C-theme going for my tankers. As I solo quite a bit, and soloing tankers can be slow going, a lot of these guys are stuck around levels 10-20.
  3. Carry lots of wakies. Get used to lying down, a lot. If this is not happening, you are playing your blaster wrong!

    P.S. AR/Dev is nice, especially now that the drone follows you around. And at higher levels, you get to unleash Full Auto every 20s or so. Bwuhahahah, *cough*!
  4. I've had it with this game. GMs are just too darn easy. Nobody evens bothers with them anymore. I can solo them with my FF defender. How about making them a bit of a challenge so that you need to at least get a team together to take one down. And just how many Paladins do I need to defeat to get the badge, I've done like hundred now. Hope it's not like them monkeys as the most you get in a spawn is three!

    PUG Fun!

    As a terminal altitis sufferer I can be playing toons of all levels across 3 servers. So PUGs are often the only way to get a team. And most of them are good. The occasional bad one usually quickly falls apart or I suddenly discover that my SG needs me for a TF.

  9. Hmm, I plan all my builds using Mid's planner so I've done a lot of tinkering before I start adding powers. Even then I still make the odd mistake when levelling or the planned build doesn't quite work out as well as it looks on paper.

    However, with 3 vet respecs avaialable, plus the 3 trial ones and the odd freespec, I doubt I would ever need to buy one. And if I did, I am hoping that this option means there will be less demand for the ones in WW so the inf price will come down. I can only win!

  11. These days I start sticking IOs into powers as soon as possible. For attack powers I usually go with just one +acc until I start slotting sets. These will usually count for at least one +acc plus add a few additional percentage points onto all that toons attacks.
  12. Unlike brutes, scrappers can rest between mobs without affecting their perfomance. However, this rarely happens due to scrapperlock.

    My /SR scrapper is my first 50 and almost compeletely IOed up - so has at least one ACC/DAM enhancement in his attacks. This does mean he can handle even level/+1s without FA, nice because it is an end hog, but for higher level opponents I do want it running.
  15. For an /SR scrapper, FA has an additional bonus in that you can 6-slot it with Gaussian's Synchronized Fire Control for an exta 2.5% def. Assuming you can spare the six slots.
  16. Does Maestro work with paypal? If so, that would seem to be the easiest option for those who want to continue playing.

    I did have a quick look but it wasnt immediately clear which debit cards (if any) paypal supports.

    I have used Paypal for a lot of payments in the last few years and haven't had any problems (touch wood).

    I think Carni was meaning something much older and more menacing, something with tentacles and more eyes and dimensions than are right, something indescibable and very Lovecraftian in nature. Mind you, the strain on my graphics card my be a bit much for old Cthulhu and friends.
  18. In addition, you dont need the endred in PB and the 3rd recred can also be left out. Also, FA is great (even in PvE), but it is end hungry.

    As Shannon mentioned take evasion ASAP, you can leave the passives till later. And while you can get to 50 without aid self (medicine pool), it can be frustrating (I know, Flitz doesn't have it).
  19. Big thanks to the pick-up team I was on when Red Rag dinged 50 last night, giving me my first 50 villian and only my second 50.

    Also, thanks to all the villains I have teamed with on the way! Red will be taking a well-deserved rest until I get VEATs out of my system, but will be back!

    Gun Drone

    I logged in with Lead Hose for a couple of missions last night. She already had the auto turret and mainly used it when soloing to distract anything that got too close (as others have mentioned it's range is poor, certainly less than most of Lead's AR powers).

    The Good: It's now more useful both solo and in groups as it follows along rather than being left being after one encounter.

    The Bad: The summon animation now doesnt make sense - change it for the MM Robots animation. It's also very long. I don't mind it being interruptable and costing and arm and a leg in endurance, but especially in groups you end up always falling behind.

    The Ugly: It's ugly. I want something more like the Tau Heavy Gun Drone from WH40K.
