  1. Flitz got all 4 badges more or less right away, followed almost immediately by Lead Hose (although with a lot more lag). Red Rag got lucky on his second outing, in a packed GV with a team away from the main action. That's my 3 main toons covered so I'll just see how I get on with all the other alts.
  2. I've been a bit lucky and managed to get an invasion almost immediately with Flitz and was even able to switch to Lead Hose and get the badges on her too. Had to try a couple of times on Red Rag, but got into a nice little team in GV last night and picked up the fourth badge just as the invasion ended. There was one this morning just before DT and I managed to get a couple of badges with a 3-man team of tanker, scrapper and controller but we didn't spawn any soulless or nightmares.
  3. I've mainly encountered zombies, jack-o-lanterns and witches. Then werewolves, vampires and sorceresses. Sorceresses seemed a bit rare as I still need that badge for Flitz. I ran into few, if any, spirits.
  4. How many times have I autoran into a mob with a new alt while trying to type a message - every single one!

    Metro exit and entrance - yep done that too.
  5. Got one on Vigilance. Got a couple of buddies to help pad it out with alts for extra starting prestige. So far I've got an entry room, power and control rooms, a workshop, a newly installed medbay and one transport room. I can fit another 3 tranporter rooms in the basic plot for 8 teleports - will just have to choose locations carefully or switch them about as I level up the toons. I alt a lot and don't play that regularly so it is slow going but fun.
  6. If I ever get back to playing my khelds, I will be keeping them pretty much as I planned them out:

    Three Four All: PB, all forms, mainly nova and dwarf.
    Eklyps: WS, human/dwarf, mainly human with dwarf panic button.

    I am fully aware that they might not be the most effective builds, but I am the master of sub-optimal builds.

    Given that you have to craft them from Salvage and pay extortionate amounts of money to place them, what really boils my blood is that if you then delete the item, for example a teleport pad because you're moving from the 2-square to 4-square room but don't have enough money or space for both at the same time (so you've nowhere to put your TP Pad while deleting one room and creating the other) you lose the item completely and have to start from scratch. You couldn't discourage people from using Salvage-crafted base items more if you gave them some sort of Herpesesque team-debuff aura for using them.

    That has been my biggest gripe with the base builder from day 1.

    Why on earth they couldnt have put an off map storage area in it to avoid that problem is beyond me.

    that has always been one of the bigest gripes with the base editer the inability to save constructed stuff especial if you have an sg member who makes something useful but places it in a very anoying or stupid place you either need to [censored] about for hours or delete it and make it again

    Yeah this bugged me when having a base reshuffle. I only have the smallest plot size with there only really being me in the SG and to move teleporters about means deleting and recreating which caused great annoyance

  8. Here is Lead Hose's build. Basic tactic is to summon the turret, drop a ring of caltrops for defence and then pound the attack keys to keep up a constant stream of hot fiery death. With Hasten up, Full Auto recharges about every 20s and while I left out Snipe, Slug has about the same range with no chance of being interrupted.

    Warning: likely to attract abnormal amounts of aggro!

    Affordability

    I too am looking forward to the merit system. My main, Flitz just needs one IO to complete his build and that's currently going for around 50 mill.

    I am a pretty casual player and alt too much for my own good, so doing loads of TFs in the hope of getting it to drop is unfortunately not really an option. So I have been slowly saving up the inf by running missions. If I can get merits from arcs and use them for this one expensive IO, I would be very happy.
  10. I've had a couple of elude moments with Flitz, when the brown stuff hits the rotating object and he's the only one left standing against a roomful of purple conning enemies.

    Managing to clear the room while emptying a tray of insps plus a few extra greens donated by a cheering crowd of faceplanted team-mates is the stuff of legends and what makes playing /SR fun.

    Then you definitely want Snipe and LRM from munitions eventually. Cloaking device to hide, caltrops etc. for defence. I'd post Lead's build but she is more the constant stream of hot fiery death approach than boom!headshot.

    Caverns is a pain to get. Need full 8-man team (that sticks it out) and ideally a stealthy toon with TP friend to complete it quickly/easily. Hmmm, maybe I should make the 'Cavern Guide'.

    Anyway back on topic, maybe you can get this badge if your toon is logged off at the Cavern entrance / waiting at the contact for long enough!

  18. Here's one - would be nice to have the teleport bind (lcrtl+lbutton) or some variant of it automatically added when you choose the power. Also for VEAT TP powers!

    Might have been mentioned before but it would be nice if when you sort your toons in the character screen, that they stay in that order even if you then go and play on another server.

  20. I doubt that the xp you get while offline will be significant - I wouldn't expect more than a bar per month - although that could still have an impact on some of my more neglected alts.

    I had read the day jobs more as something to do for the other bonuses (badges, etc.) than for any xp you were likely to get.

    Biographies!

    Most of my toons have at least a concept of a background before they are created. It might never come to fruition or might get changed by the time I actually write it into the biog, but it is there - even if it is just a silly name.

    My Inv/SS tank is my token alien from another planet toon, but I don't think he'll get genericed any time soon!

    Ravenswing wouldn't like my biogs as I tend to put a short 'This is your life' type of story in my toons' biogs (those that have them at least). More of a history of how they became a hero/villian than a physical description or what would be general knowledge about the toon - but then I dont have any RP toons. If I did, I think I would do something more like he suggests.

    OTOH, my plant dominator's bio just has 'Let's just say that sometimes Mother Nature can be a real [female dog]!'

  24. Neverwinter Vault has a rating system for player created modules that seems to work out mostly okay, so it can be done. You got the odd dodgy module with a high score, but overall most of the high-scoring modules were pretty good. And some of them were brilliant! Really looking forward to the mission creator and might even give it a go myself.
  25. Flitz (MA/SR) always had a hard time with:

    Suspect a lot of them do -def, making it easier for them to hit a /SR toon.
