...AoEs didn't seemed to affect (bother) me during missions.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Particularly against Nemesis, I found that Evasion was really necessary - especially in large teams. I even held of doing a Nemesis story arc until I got Evasion at 35. The type of Nemesis you encounter through the 30s seems to change quite a bit with more of them doing AoEs at levels 35+.

Someone else mentioned Cobra Strike - hadn't realised you had left it out. Put it back in!

And Flitz, the build looks cool, but will probably need more accuracy in the slots and less on things like immobilisation time and end reduction...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmm, yeah this was more of a PVE taunt them to me build. Don't really need that for PVP, they'll be coming after me anyway. Can easily switch all the taunts for acc - will two +ACC per attack be enough? Was also thinking about fighting pool for Tough and to a lesser extent Weave.

Every AT can be built to be useful in PvP, we just need to look at the build. If you are interested i'm sure with our combined minds we can come up with a build spec

    [/ QUOTE ]

Here's Cryo Magnon's proposed build - currently only SL10! Very end heavy at the moment, but still on TOs. Suggestions welcome.

  4. Suicide scrapper, eh! First get Focussed Accuracy from the Body Mastery pool to make sure that you attacks hit (proposed slotting 3 ACC, 3 ENDRED). Then get either Punch or Kick from the Fighting pool (don't need to slot it as you've got enough and better MA attacks). This opens up Tough for that extra survivability (~18% S/L RES, 3-slotted). Might want to dip into fighting pool earlier, if planning to exemp down. Don't have much choice for FA.

Another option would be to take Weave instead of FA, although as the DEF bonus is only about 5% even when 3-slotted, I'm not sure it's worth it.

Disclaimer: Flitz is only 39 at the moment so I don't actually have any experience with slotting FA and don't have Tough in my build.
  5. I'm sure I've got at least one alt that isn't already in one of the 1AT SGs. Might only be an Ice/Mace tank though! Don't know if they are any good in PVP - apparently not very good in PVE
  6. 3-slot your passives if you can. /SR is def-based and every little helps (even if it's only 1%). However, it's worth noting that I only took the passives later in the game - when I could slot them with SOs.
  7. Bah! Too many alts. Flitz is 3 bars short of 39 and Lead needs a sack of prestige to get on the IoP raid (currently 42nd in the PR prestige stakes ), so I will be focusing on these two for the near future. Also, my regular Thursday night session is out this week because of a work thing, mutter, mumble, grumble, grump!

I've gone for Fire as a secondary - probably based on the same reasoning that others players have had in putting together a character of demonic orgin

    [/ QUOTE ]

Red Rag isn't a demon, although with the horns and cloven hooves he could be mistaken for one. It's just that when he gets angry, his body temp goes up and stuff around him starts bursting into flames. MOOOOOO!

Flurry (no laughing at the back)

    [/ QUOTE ]
to each their own. Flurry is one I havent tried yet, the animation time is too long for Martial Arts. Plus
MA powers have a ACC bonus...Also you need to try out new improved Crippling Axe Kick. IMHO It's MA's second strongest attack.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I took flurry as part of his original concept - can flit in and out of real-time making him seem like he's moving quickly - and it also has a small chance of disorient. I did have to slot it with an ACC enhancement to keep it up with other MA powers - not so much an issue with ED. Will need to see if I can fit CAK into my build if it's that much improved - it does immobilization if I remember - I think I can fit that into his concept.

    Repetitive

Flitz has five attacks and a power-up: Cobra Strike, Thunder Kick, Flurry (no laughing at the back), Eagle's Claw, Dragon's Tail and Focus Chi.

TK and Flurry cycle fast so get used a lot. CS is used as alpha strike and whenever it recharges, although I'll often hold it to alpha next mob. Dragon's Tail is his only PBAoE and is usually only used on groups. Eagle's Claw I usually hold until after I use Focus Chi, for that extra bang!

Not a lot of variety admittedly but not solely bashing the same keys over and over.
  11. I wouldn't mind if Luminous Green was folded into the SNHS as long as she gets RadRanger rank!
  12. [ QUOTE ]
Ranks. Someone give me some ideas on
    1. what to call them.
    2. how to give them.
As everyone knows I am somewhat involved in the Rangers which takes a lot of my time!

    [/ QUOTE ]

As we're RadRangers, how about: Alpha (grunt), Beta (squad leader) and Gamma (Chief emitter).

Don't know how many we got at the moment, but might want to promote some/all to squad leaders with invite rights so we can start recruiting new grunts w/o invite rights.

BTW, you were right - they are fun to play.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
    Dude... you need help...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Seconded.

I mainly play Flitz or Lead Hose, switching between them when they level. All the rest are 'real' alts and get fitted in when I'm feeling villainous, need a break (epecially when grinding through the levels with Flitz) or only have a short time to play.

The guys on Deviant are the poor cousins with the highest being only lvl 5 or so.
  14. Another /SR scrapper without hasten. Can confirm PB only needs two SOs to perma, although I've still got 3 slots in it from my DO days.
  15. Excellent stuff. Had me going for a while there too. All this creative writing is making me think I need to post something more about Lead Hose.
  16. Ooooh! Is Guise really a bad guy then? Is he working for the council? Is he just another darned council robot. If so, Flitz will want to have a couple of words with him then, starting with 'Kiyaaih!'
  17. I've noticed with my NRG/Fire Brute that Blazing Aura really draws the aggro to me, making it a double-edged sword to use. I've even switched it off when teaming with higher level toons as otherwise my Brute doesn't last very long.
  18. I'm getting a lot of spam SG invites, so was wondering if you accept brutes (Red Rag) and masterminds (Nanotetrix)? Even if they eventually move on to another SG, I'd rather give my prestige to someone I 'know' for now and avoid all the spam invites.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
Your much better going to find something you can actually hit.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. So, that's just what I did. And I have to admit that I had a lot of fun going toe-to-toe with the other scrappers than trying to tag the trollers. In fact, I might even do it again sometime.
  20. Spotted it the other night near FF entrance (might have been a different one). Now if the same would only happen to a Paladin construction site.
  21. Recent experience in Warburg with Flitz has taught me to leave controllers to the blasters. MA has no ranged attacks and I simply couldn't get close enough to the storm or grav controllers to hit them. And I tried a good number or times with attacks cued to trigger when I moved towards them - not a single hit.

So I focused on the other scrappers - helping take down Chives and Midnight Agent - both experienced arena scrappers. Tiny Tank (invul? tank) was tough to damage but even then with concentrated attacks he went down as did Disco King senior and junior.

If either of the trollers ever went down - it sure wasn't because of me.
  22. Gratz G. I'll buy you a 'bolleke' one of these days to celebrate!
  23. I have to say that since getting Eagle's Claw, I get quite a few comments from team-mates along the lines of 'Cool attack'. So we certainly win on style.
  24. Flitz

    Taunt on a Brute

Just to be difficult I'm not going to pick up taunt for my Brute, but provoke, intimidate and scare as these seem much more villainous. Moooohahaha!
