The character is over level 5. Therefore, until and unless Paragon Studios changes their name policy, the character's name is safe forever.
  2. I'm pretty sure Gilgamesh left a looong time ago.
  3. Because it trivializes the difficulty of badges that require effort (ie: the MO badges) or time (epic healing, damage, etc. badges)

/FF increase Def to bubbles or KB to Force Bolt

/Thermal +Heal, +res on SHields, increased Debuffs on the Debuffs.

I do agree it would be nice if TemporaryPower.Frenzy would effect pets, but atleast you get +recharge. But /FF kinda gets screwed on that one, but other sets benefit from it.

I do agree, the Hero power is better suited for MMs.
Power Boost does not boost resistance buffs or debuffs
  5. That's a general formula. There's more information on TauntDurationRemaining, because we were given that formula by Castle in a thread about why aggro could be stolen from Taunting Tankers. Castle went in and discovered exactly how Taunt works, and gave us that. The other variables presented may have other weights, and we know there's more to the equation than that (according to Castle, there's a "KillTheHealer" variable, which is currently unused)

We also don't know the rate at which Threat decays.

Indeed, some names are fun just for the amusement of sticking the name into NPC dialog.

Faultline: Hey, a fuzzy kitten! Wait up!
Kadabra Kill: What is a fuzzy kitten doing here?
Mindspider: Oh, it's a fuzzy kitten! I'll do them for free!
Fortunata: Oh, no! She sent a fuzzy kitten!
Dr. Aeon: a fuzzy kitten! AHHH! Where's my armor! Where's my armor!
Wolf Spider Enforcer: Calm down, girls. We'll show you how to deal with scum like a fuzzy kitten.

He deactivated his account several years ago. and he decides to be an unsavory character and returns once a year to buy a month so no one takes his name (>_<)
IF the name policy script is run during a server maintenance (we have no notice if or when such a thing will happen), a name will be unreserved on the conditions:
    1. The character is level 5 or lower, and
    2. The account owning the character has been deactivated for 90 days (either through payment expiration or account suspension).

Characters at level 6 and above will not have their names unreserved. On the flip side, the player you're talking about isn't sufficiently protecting himself by only coming back one month out of the year.

A character whose name becomes unreserved only loses anything if another player uses the name before that character is logged into again. If the player reactivates and logs into the character before someone else uses the name, nothing is lost.

If someone else does use the name, the character will lose its description, battle cry, all mail, membership in their SG, and their friends list. They will also be removed from other people's friends list, and emails from them will change the sender to "unknown".

NCSoft is obliged to tell us if these rules change, but not when the script is run. If you know for a fact that an inactive player holds a name you want and that character is lv5 or less, all you can do is try to take then name after their account goes inactive for 90 days. However, if the character is lv6 or higher, the only way to get that name is to make a plea to the player.

  9. While cool, each one took a long time to get in. I understand that they need to move slowly, but I had to fast worward.

Also, Ouroboros does more than "just repeating the old story arcs, the incarnate story arc, and the original TF's". Ouroboros allows you to "explore the historical events, and far off futures" of the game lore, including alternate timelines. See: Mender Lazarus, Twilight's Son, Mender Tesseract, and Mender Silos.

There is/was a Titan Network project similar to the Scoop, but it's been pushed back with several developers leaving, setting up new Mids' developers, and then the addition of Titan Sentinel.

It's still there, but not ready yet and it's been pushed to the sideline. (Unfortunately )
  15. GM Lloyd is awesome.
He also wrote the "Behind the Walls" column for the City Scoop.

Sort of. WTF will either be both a SF and a TF, or a single co-op TF (Cimerora or RWZ). A single character can only get the bonus xp/Incarnate reward for WTF once a week, but apparently there's badges to be had for repeating the WTF after getting it the first time. Rogues and Vigilantes would be able to be more selective about their WTF (for example, if the devs did something silly like setting Quaterfield facing Tarikoss), and they would have a larger pool of people to group with working on badges.

That's not a limerick. Limericks have 5 lines, they're presented in amphibrachic or anapestic meter, and the lines have an aabba rhyming scheme.

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket.
    But his daughter, named Nan,
    Ran away with a man
And as for the bucket, Nantucket

But he followed the pair to Pawtucket,
    The man and the girl with the bucket;
And he said to the man,
    He was welcome to Nan,
But as for the bucket, Pawtucket.

Then the pair followed Pa to Manhasset,
    Where he still held the cash as an asset;
    But Nan and the man
    Stole the money and ran,
And as for the bucket, Manhasset.

Admittedly, my favorite limerick is not actually a limerick:
There once was a man from Peru,
Whose limericks ended on line two!

Fulcrum Shift has no attack vectors, either.
  20. We don't know the coefficients for anything in the Threat formula, except the coefficient for the actual Taunt effect. Therefore, we can't give a definite answer.

Bull. The only problem MMs should have with the Incarnate TFs is the halberd patches during the Battle Maiden fight. And if you've got a bind/macro to move your pets out of the way and even a modicum of reaction time, you shouldn't have to constantly resummon the pets, either.

Any team that's looking to a MM for a healer is stupid and probably not worth joining. MMs are AoE or ST dps (plus support), at the player's discretion

The marker for a thumbtack is never actually on the ground. It's always in the air on in some geometry.
  24. I seem to recall right around when the wedding pack came out, there was some sort of talk about tuxedos conflicting with something else, but I don't remember if it was capes or wings. I would check, but my computer died, I haven't got my backup yet, and I don't want to install CoH from scratch just for that
  25. I've missed you, Satanic Hamster. Your threadjacks always brighten my day.

What's more, I am in awe of your ability to threadjack without doing the threadjacking. It's like everyone else wants to threadjack for you.
