I'd be surprised if Going Rogue comes out this year too, although putting a new box on the shelves prior to the holidays would be a huge boon IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, I'm expecting it this holiday season, sometime between Black Friday and Christmas.
  2. I hate you guys. I'm trying not to laugh out loud in my calc2 problem session class

    A Beautiful Brain
    - The story of a young man employed by the government for his psychic control over clockwork. But is it real, or it just the effects of his refusal to take anti-psychosis meds and his last encounter with Blue Steel?

    12 Rikti Monkeys
    - In the year 2035, humans on Earth Prime have undergone the same mutations that created the Rikti. Prisoners travel backwards in time with the consent of the Ouroboros Menders in echange for reduced sentences. Mistakenly sent to 2003 instead of 2009, J'ms C'le is arrested and locked up in a psychiatric hospital, where he meets Dr. Ann-Marie Engles and Buck Salinger.

tremor takes 3 seconds to cast, and most of us dont bother to take the power at all

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would love to see you make a poll for that. Seriously, I'd find it fascinating, regardless of how it's presented.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've never taken a poll, but I don't know anyone who builds for performance over concept that keeps it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Tremor is disliked?

[/ QUOTE ]Maybe by people that are trying to maximize their DPS, but Tremor is a great power.
  4. If you know the pet's name, you can target based on that (/targetcustomnext name). Otherwise, I believe /targetcustomnext notmypet will work.

In both cases, you can only target pets that are on-screen.

The fact that the game tells you that you can go to zero seems to be a decently big error.

[/ QUOTE ]It's an error in the same sense that the game allows you to go higher than 45% defense, I suppose.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Except that having Defense values higher than 45% can be useful. Defense Debuffs and ToHit Buffs can make it so that 45% Defense won't floor the enemy's ToHit.

Since there's no in-game reason for having an AT Mod of lower than 1, why display that it can go to zero?

[/ QUOTE ]How about another example? All ATs have at least a 200ft stealth cap, but the highest perception range of any critter is 149ft

And you're not that awesome outside of Granite. 'course in Granite, you are the God of Tankers, so it's all relative.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd say "in Granite, you're the God of not dying." Not dying is the sine qua non of tanking, but it's not everything. I've found my own Stone Tanker sometimes has trouble doing enough to keep the team safe unless they wait around for him. I wound up taking Provoke for the times Taunt is slowly recharging and it would take too long to maneuver over minor obstacles, for example. The team has to slow down so much to work with a Tanker in Granite that I don't entirely blame the team for not always deferring to the Tanker, and thus occasionally getting into trouble.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's a very good point, and I concede the argument - you're quite correct. The recharge and movement debuffs of Granite do seriously affect ability to hold aggro.

It's probably worth mentioning that while a Stone tank in Granite is the toughest thing around, there's few situations in-game where you really need to be that tough. And with the right build and IOs, there's quite a few other tanker types that can approach Granite levels of survivability without the downsides.

[/ QUOTE ]Also, Granite is nowhere near top dog vs. psionic damage.
  7. GW's hold is meant to be impossible to protect yourself against, aside from avoiding it entirely. Unfortunately, the way certain game mechanics must work, an ally stacking Clear Mind (or similar) on you can make you immune to the Hold portion of the attack.

[Curse of Weariness] lasts for 10.25s.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Just like how Stamina lasts for 10.25s. So, not really.

Curse of Weariness is, like the Mystic Fortunes (and I believe the new Stalker Woo Im Scary Assassin effect), a granted Autopower. It stays on you, undeletable, for something in the vicinity of 5 to 15 minutes. And yes, it is pretty mean.

[/ QUOTE ]Whoops, you're right. It lasts 300s with 10.25s pulses, not 10.25s. My bad, I was in a rush.
  9. Mag 100. And it does Negative damage, not S/L/P.

Thx guys, I've spent more time PvPing then in PvE lately and used to the bonus not counting more then +/- 3 your toon's current level.
    And yes...MIDS is great

[/ QUOTE ]Even in PvP, sets work if they're below your level.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I thought it was +/- 3 levels in order to receive the set bonus.

Example...in SC, sets have to be between lv27 - lv33 since ur toon is capped at lv30, no?

[/ QUOTE ]No, it has to be 10-33. You're correct about being limited to +3, but you can go any number of levels below you.

(Also, Purples are the exception to the rule, and always work despite being lv50)

    iPhone Apps?

Mids' in particular can't be on an iPhone; it requires VB.Net, and AFAIK the only thing .Net that the iPhone is capable of is ASP.Net, and that's only for web pages.

I remeber a while ago someone had a thread about using remote desktop (or something similar) on their iPhone to connect to their home computer to log in to the game. The iPhone capabilites combined with the extra step in the connection made it too slow to do anything more than checking your market transaction slots, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Unless your one of their fanboi's you have to send a giftbasket to get any response.

*sigh* I have to say, except for Synapses, he not only opened on of my PM's, but he actually answered it too.

[/ QUOTE ]Actually, all of the devs frequently answer PMs they get. And if you think everything on that wiki page was suggested by devs' favorites and moderators, you're sorely mistaken.

    Issue 15 . . . .

I think the size of i15 has less to do with CO and more to do with being sandwiched between i14 and Going Rogue.
  16. And therefore, you need to add a non-custom critter to the mission (even just as a hostage) that has the level range you want.

Scott Calvin... was on the drawing board to be returned

[/ QUOTE ]Eh? The storyline of the Calvin Scott TF was that Mr. Scott believed Sister Psyche's presence in Aurora Borealis' mind (His wife) was harmful, so he recruited heroes to separate them. SP and AB were sparated in I4.

the only drawback I can think of pertaining to this game is how Cryptic dropped the damn ball. For how long did they have like 8 people working on the game?

  21. It's a lot easier to soft-cap if you're starting from 30% (SR powers, slotted), though

And that means you can either get there a lot more cheaply, or then focus on something else.

do you have 5 devastation sets already?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup -- am I not getting the bonus because I'm already getting five copies of the +2.25% to health? I always thought the 5 copies rule applied to specific IO *sets* rather then 5 copies of the same *bonus*

AFAIK, the -Threat on powers that have it does not suppress.

[/ QUOTE ]Powers with -Threat, and whether the -Threat get suppressed:
    Super Speed: suppresses
    Invisibility: does not suppress
Phase Shift: suppresses (on click glowy only)
    Superior Invisibility: suppresses
    Group Invisibility: does not suppress
Quantum Flight: suppresses (on click glowy only)
Nebulous Form: suppresses (on click glowy only)
Hyper Phase: suppresses (on click glowy only)
    Combat Invisibility: suppresses

I think there's a few more temp powers with -Threat, but I think the point has been made.
