    Expired accounts

    [ QUOTE ]
Would it be possible to make them available if say the account is unpaid for like 6 months or 12 months no matter the level of the toon?

[/ QUOTE ]It's a bad idea. The single biggest reason someone will return to an MMO that they previously quit is that their characters remain as they were

I can't remember where it was or who posted it, but someone posted a rundown on the color hex and how it was assigned on one of the topics somewhere.

It was most probably Mateo since he seems to be the most savvy on the forums about this sort of thing.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That would be pohsyb himself who said he used a Burtle hash to convert the characters in a name into a hex number to determine color. The result of the hash is massaged so that the name is not too dark.

[/ QUOTE ]Frustratingly, I tried to create a tool to find what color a name was going to turn out as. I talked to both pohsyb and Bob Jenkins (developer of multiple hash functions, which could all be called "burtle hash") trying to debug my code, and never did get it working right

    Jay dislikes Furries.

[/ QUOTE ]Jay isn't the only costume designer any more, either

    veteran rewards

You must open your Badges window, select the Veteran Rewards category, and click a button on the badge to get the respec/weapons.

The weapons are NOT costume pieces, they are base decorations.

especially if you're backporting features from a future branch.

    [/ QUOTE ]
And what do your experiments in transdimensional horticulture have to do with this?

[/ QUOTE ]Assuming you're not just playing along, I'm talking about Branches, Trunks, and Merging in Revision Control Software. A future branch would be a branch intended to use for developing a future version of the software, eg: Paragon Studios probably has an i16 branch, an i17 branch, and a GR branch, if not more.
  6. Dual Pistols (blast set) and Demon Summoning (mastermind primary) are likely candidates for powersets with Going Rogue, though GR isn't i16, and may not even come out until i17.
  7. They don't ignore IOs. The balance with SOs when finding the baseline power level. They still use IOs to keep the upper bound of power in check.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
I was told today that they're used for the Going Rogue expansion, but that doesn't come out for a while, so why would the invention salvage come out this early?

[/ QUOTE ]It's easy to catch a piece of the branch you didn't actually want when merging into the trunk, especially if you're backporting features from a future branch.

You can suggest tips for this space by emailing cohsubmissions@ncsoft.com with the subject line containing the word "TIP"

so the cap is 400% which makes anything pretty much perma.

[/ QUOTE ]Actually, there's quite a few things you can't get perma, even with capped recharge. Godmode powers, for example, are impossible to make perma.

look normal just like on any werewolf from the old movies

[/ QUOTE ]That's called "lack of special effects"

All the modern werewolves look like what we've got.

Also: I can't remember where, but I've heard a rumor that the mutant booster is slated to have animal bits.

Everpresent Cacophony. Though it sounds like my Praetorian self ought to be Sonic something, rather than the Inv/SS my namesake actually is...

for example, they can use real the real data instead of datamined data

[/ QUOTE ]Um... datamined data is the real data. Have you ever looked at City of Data? It's got exactly the stuff that's in-game.
  14. I don't know of the file you're talking about, but Red Tomax has most of the IOs and their components, and Paragonwiki has all of them, albeit on separate pages.
  15. The Magic pack gices you Mystic Fortune, which grants a random buff to an ally for 20 minutes. The Cyborg pack gives you Self Destruction, which... causes you to self destruct (and deal damage to nearby enemies)

Perhaps protocol for emergency maintenance announcements needs reevaluating?

[/ QUOTE ]Damn them for not planning their emergencies in advance!
  17. I'd say, between the two, GvE. The Jump Pack is just too useful at the low levels, whereas the AE will give you either Mystic Fortune or Self Destruction, which are both fun, but don't really compare to the Jump Pack.

after hearing for ten thousand times in the forums that most of the girls are really guys, I wanted to disagree. Most don't seem to be to me, or at least a big percentage don't seem to be.

I'm asking for a completely alternate way to earn the temp powers.

[/ QUOTE ]IIRC, Castle has said that the only reason Shivans and Nukes remain as overpowered as they are is because of the PvP risk. If there was a way to get them outside of PvP, I'd expect them to be nerfed heavily.
  22. Umm... k.

Not that I disagree... but what brought this on? This thread is a non sequitir.

I've also seen these called "Pool Boy" builds.

[/ QUOTE ]Just make sure to keep your poolboy away from the space pirate amazon ninja catgirls.
