So i'm on the trail and i just turned lvl 7 (villain)... all of a sudden i have no contacts and no missions, i try to click on those computers in the entertainment place like the last quest giver told me but it says i can't... what do i do now? and where do i go now?
[/ QUOTE ]Open your Team window... does it say "Quit Strike Force"? That means you're already on an Architect Entertainment story arc. You can use that button to quit the current arc to try another... or you can quit it and try a real contact in Mercy Island/Port Oakes.
[/ QUOTE ]He's on a trial, and trial accounts can't use the AE system, which is why the console is telling him no.
He need to go to Port Oakes, and run paper missions until he gets a mayhem. (Or join a team, of course) -
Other things worth checking out are Mids' Hero Designer and City of Data.
Mids' can give you a good display of damage, and can compare damage between powers and between powersets, as well as being an excellent hero planner. And except for the cases where a power is forced to use an expression to calculate an effect (eg: Super Reflexes' auto powers giving damage resistance as your health goes down), City of Data's power quantification will tell you all of the details of each power, even the stff that doesn't show up in the game's detailed info. -

I would say at least make it so that more than ONE +perc power is requirened to see a non stalker with stacked stealth ie stealth + stealth IO or stealth + sup invis
[/ QUOTE ]It's already like that. Base perception is 500ft, and non-Stalker/non-Arachnos stealth cap is 571.5ft. If you have no +perception, you will never see a stealth-capped opponent. (Well, until they hit you, which drops their stealth...) -

Parry is built to triple stack. In fact, it's got a built in cap of three stacks - if you magically get it down to a 1s recharge, it still only triple stacks.
[/ QUOTE ]Umm... source? I know of no data to suggest that there's any hard cap on the number of times Parry can be stacked. (Admittedly I've never tried, as my highest Broad Sword character is just lv15)
Also, at the recharge cap Parry has a cycle time of 1.93s, and the defense buff lasts 10s, so there's no "magic" required in getting it to 1s recharge or in triple stacking it. In fact, you only need to get it down to ~2s recharge in order to triple stack, which requires 50% recharge slotting -

D4 Defender + Dark Watcher's -recharge proc
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok, I know a D3 defender is Dark Miasma/Dark Blast with the darkness epic pool... But what the heck is a D4 defender?!
[/ QUOTE ]D3: Dark Miasma/Dark Blast Defender
D4: Dark Miasma/Dark Blast/Dark Mastery Defender
D4 Defender: Dark Miasma/Dark Blast/Dark Mastery Defender Defender -
However, you can combine the two different +Resist pet IOs on one character for a 20% total buff.

with 2 holds plus hold from pets (brute on thugs or dark fluffy) and any procs you have a chance to hold any critter av or other wise

He means the fact that the Bruiser's Knockout Blow is a Mag 1 hold, if I'm translating correctly
[/ QUOTE ]Bruiser's KO Blow is mag 3, actually.
As to Petrifying Gaze:
It's one of the worst holds in the game. No damage, no secondary effect, poor duration/recharge ratio, single target.
On the other hand, it is a hold, and will take a lieutenant or minion out of the fight quickly. And it can be perma, with slotting. Additionally, it can stack with the Petrifying Gaze from Dark Servant, and from the hold in your patron pool.
It may be one of the worst holds in the game, but it is a hold.
I do admit, I wish it had a Defense Debuff. the combat spam for it claims that it lowers the target's defense, but it doesn't actually do so. -
I used Gang War in PvP once. Sure, they stick around after you faceplant, but they can't do a lick of good against another player, anyway.
Although, IIRC when I went to the hospital, they did teleport to me due to being out of range. -
I ran an 8-MM ITf once, and IIRC, half the team were Thugs MMs, and there were at least two with Dark Miasma...

Screen space? I only have two power trays showing. The first is for pet controls and personal attacks (read Vet attacks and patron powers), the second is my debuff secondary. The third tray is hidden, and has every slot bound for easy reach from the numpad.
[/ QUOTE ]I don't know how you do that. I've got my first two trays full and only a few slots open in my third tray (and I've got most of a floating 4th tray used up). And I only have two macros and one temp power in all of those slots... -
Yes, it works. I use it extensively on my Mastermind. I haven't bothered to look in a long time, but I know there was a message in the Healing Delivered channel when I first slotted the proc in DN.

The sooner we can get rid of those blurry abominations, the better.

Okay, this again. The thing is, at first glance, this seems like a reasonable thing to say, until you realize that the people fixing bugs aren't the same people making new content. If you were to stop all new content development (which itself is not a great idea) and move all those people over to bug fixes, chances are good you'd actually slow the progress of bugs getting fixed because you're introducing people to something that isn't part of their jobs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Therein lies the largest problem with a "bugfix issue" (though certainly not the only one). Either you sit the entire development staff in front of the code, which is like asking your plumber to perform your brain surgery, or you sit the non-programming portions in a room and tell them "Okay, guys, just play cards until the next issue".
In visual terms...
[/ QUOTE ]Just like the people who complain about getting new costumes instead of new content (or vice versa)... do you expect Jay to go do pohsyb and Ghost Widow's job, or Castle to do BackAlleyBrawler's job? How about asking Hero 1 to take Blue Steel's place? -

I get 2 or 3 different missions in a row and they are all at the SAME door. (happens more in St. Martial doing paper missions than anywhere else in the game)
[/ QUOTE ]I fixed your typo. -

Might just be me, but they never impressed me, usage-wise. I had a few on my stalker I worked up to 50, but I always ended up ignoring them and going for the usual attack chain (meaning any attack, not just AS) because they never seemed to do as much or more damage.
[/ QUOTE ]They seemed really awesome when I ran Veluta's arc on my Mind/Psi Dominator pre-I15 >.> -

What gets me is that Aett_Thorn didn't make even a single one of the responding posts.

Now, other ATs... can all hit their stealth cap with Stealth/Stealth Power (I.E. Shadow Fall) and a Stealth IO
[/ QUOTE ]Non-stalkers/arachnos will cap their stealth with just two stealth powers, no need for the IO. (571.5ft PvP cap, 389ft from each stealth power). Stalkers and Soldier of Arachnos need 3 sources of stealth in order to be capped, but other ATs only need 2 (1 if you're in Illusion Controller or you're teamed with an Illusion Controller)
Non-arachnos can see Non-stalker/arachnos from 581.5ft when the target is at the stealth cap and the viewer is at the perception cap. Normal ATs can see stealth-capped Arachnos at 301ft, and capped Stalkers at 10ft. Arachnos can see normal ATs at 689.1ft, other Arachnos at 408.6ft, and Stalkers at 117.6ft. -

Actually, Wow is a very good fantasy MMO. I just happen to be very much over fantasy MMOs...
[/ QUOTE ]WoW is a decent game. But it's not such an amazing game to attract millions of players on its merits alone. That's due to brand recognitions and advertising. -

then theres this red one, not sure if its just the one you buy from the QM in grandville or not...
[/ QUOTE ]The red one is the one you get via game cards/the mini-booster. The one from Grandville/Shadow Shard is just another Raptor Pack.
[/ QUOTE ]And in fact, if you have the raptor pack from the Safeguard/Mayhem, you can't buy the one from the Jet Pack salesman. -

I got invited to a team this morning, and as soon as I got on, one of the guys asked me if I knew any codes. I'd never heard this term before, but I asked if he meant ID numbers for AE missions, since it was the only thing I could think of that was code-like. He said no, then said "if you don't know what codes are, come back when you learn" and kicked me from the team.
Anyone know wtf this guy was talking about?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope. Next time tell him: Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start. (bonus geek points for knowing what that is)
Sounds like an idiot that thinks there are cheat codes in the game. There aren't.
[/ QUOTE ]
You get negative geek points for failing to post the correct code.
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start
[/ QUOTE ] Extra geek points for me...
"START" was not part of the command, and not required in any way... other than to actually start the game after you were done entering the code.
If you were using 2 players (for example), you'd have had to press SELECT before START... which would have screwed it up if it was part of the code.
[/ QUOTE ]Bonus Score!

First used in Gradius, and made famous in Contra where many people needed it to simply beat the game (+30 lives).
B, A is often replaced with some other command on systems with a controller that doesn't have B and A buttons (eg: they're replaced by 5, 7, 3 on cell phone games, and by X, O on Play Station systems).
In Gradius III for the SNES, the standard Konami Code kills you instantly. Substituting the left and right bumpers for the left and right will make it work as expected.
Edit: The Konami Code is also used to enter Developer Mode on the Palm Pre
