Leadership is the option provided to me to let me pwn harder, regardless of team makeup.

8 Blasters/Scrappers/Tankers/Brutes/Stalkers with slotted Maneuvers have ~27.3% defense (almost equal to an SR Scrapper without IOs), before any other powers. 8 Defenders have ~42% (almost maxed out).
8 Blasters/Tankers/Brutes/Stalkers with Assault have +84% damage (almost doubling their damage slotting). 8 Defenders have +150% damage (just 55% away from their damage cap assuming 95% damage from slotting)
8 stacked slotted Tactics will net you between ~84% and ~150% tohit, which is enough to max out your chance to hit against anything except the wrong type of Mito in a Hamidon raid.

    Let's review:
    * Stacked Maneuvers can get you somewhere between an SR Scrapper and a single IO short of capped
    * Stacked Assault can get you somewhere between doubling your damage enhancements and two reds short of capped
    * Stacked Tactics will cap you against everything but the wrong Hamidon Mito

They looked the same to me, until I saw Zombie Man say that the New Post/New Thread images matched background color now, and mine didn't. I did a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5), the New Post/New Thread buttons changed color, and the rep images changed, as well. Well, except for the rep image that was used for the reall high rep people like Ultimus, Philotic, and Dark Respite.

    Um... you can.

Just go into your options and change from Basic Editor to Standard Editor or WYSIWYG Editor.
  8. I think it's a fairly useless metric for a badge, to be honest

Eh? The colors are just hex values; there should be 16,777,216 available colors.

Read Posi's posts again. Mission owner sets the level, unless no mission is set. If no mission is set, then the team leader sets the level.

But Seldom, you need to read Posi's posts more closely, too: they're looking at retaining your powers when you exemplar, and they've already made it so you still gain xp.

The only remaining qualm I have about this system is something you may be addressing (you mentioned looking at badge requirements). Some badges are particularly annoying to get on one side or the other. Example: Weatherman/woman redside; I believe the only Outcasts redside are in one specific low-level mission, and there's only a handful of spawns of Outcasts in the mission, too (IIRC, the rest are Longbow). Normally while working on the badge, a full team of high-level characters (or at least, high enough to one-shot the Outcast bosses), skip past the other spawns and just kill the enemies that give badge credit. With this system, the only reasonable way to ignore the other spawns, as far as I can see, is for the mission owner to hold it in their mission queue for many levels. If people drop the team to fight at their natural level, the team won't share the badge credit. On a badge like that, not sharing the credit would be very painful.

I'm going to take "dream team" as "team you'd most like to have", rather than "maximum survivability + DPs". Off that assumption, and your restrictions:
    1. Controller (Any/Any)
    2. Controller (Any/Any)
    3. Corruptor (Any/Any)
    4. Corruptor (Any/Any)
    5. Defender (Any/Any)
    6. Defender (Any/Any)
    7. Mastermind (Any/Any)
    8. Mastermind (Any/Any)

Look, I even alphabetized it for you

IIRC, Arcana did some analysis of the kicking Brawl animation, and did conclude that it was slower than standard Brawl (but not as slow as the power Kick)

Of course, redrawing your weapon after Brawl would be a bigger hurt to your DPS than the longer animation of the kicking Brawl, so it's not worth worrying about, I think.

Sidebar: Brawl is the most complicated power in the game. (Technically, not mechanically)
  19. Even if you only hit a single target with the melee cones, they're not "bad" moves. (Well, Shadow Maul/Sands of Mu against a single target may be...)

Yes. A team with zero leadership is a travesty in my eyes. Which is why I've usually got it.

    Especially Vengeance on my Rad/Dark

While your question has been answered, I'll just say, "Yes... as a rule of thumb".

What actually matters isn't whether a power is in your primary or secondary, but what Attribute Modifiers the power's effects use, and what those Attribute Modifiers are for your AT (It just works out that the Attribute Modifiers and powers are set up such that, usually, Primary > Secondary). So, while Radiant Aura on a Defender heals for 133.862 and 117.799 on a Controller, both get +30% Recharge from Accelerate Metabolism, and Choking Cloud on a Controller lasts 7.45s while on a Defender it lasts 5.96s.

This is because the Ranged_Heal (Radiant Aura) modifier for Defenders is higher than for Controllers, Ranged_Ones (Accelerate Metabolism's +Rech) is the same for everyone, and Ranged_Immobilize (Choking Cloud; there is no Ranged_Hold modifier) is higher for Controllers than it is for Defenders.

You can see the actual values of the various Attribute Modifiers on City of Data

And if you have a browser which can use Greasemonkey (Generally Firefox, but there are others), you can use this script I wrote, which makes the thread title link to the newest post like it did on the old forums. (For a given value of "newest post" with respect to the current newpost bug)

No, seriously. The old UBB search engine may have been terrible unless you knew exactly what you were looking for, but the search we have now is much better.

As to your suggestion, I honestly don't care one way or the other. There is an Official Forum Feedback Thread (hey, found it with Search. Was the first result, too )
  25. Yeah, my lv49 power generally ends up being something that doesn't need much slotting (like a self-res, or an auto power). Which also usually means my build doesn't really need the power in the first place.
