Actually, I think Guild Wars does a fairly good job at making you the point-man in the game's story. It's heavily instanced, like CoH, but I think what really makes it seem like you're the story's protagonist is that the cutscenes have NPCs talking directly to you, which you really doin't get out of the text medium NPCs use in our game.

I don't know exactly what you mean by "unique cultural elements", but I'd recommend Guild Wars to you. The original campaign, "Prophecies", is basically generic fantasy, but the other two campaigns, "Nightfall" and "Factions", have distinctly African and Asian themes to them, respectively. For bonus points, there's no monthly fee (just have to buy the box for at least one of the campaigns), and the money goes to NCSoft

Edit: Also, GW Nightfall has Flamingos you can grab as pets (if your character is a Ranger/* or */Ranger class). And you can make your Heroes be */Ranger, and make them pick up a Flamingo pet, and have an ARMY OF FLAMINGOS.
(Depending on their ratio of damage dealt/damage received as they level up, they could even become Dire Flamingos )

  5. I've got a Son/Ice Blaster who, when I'm finished building him, will have 3 Call of the Sandman procs in AoEs (Siren's Song, Frozen Aura, and Flash Freeze), and 5 Entropic Chaos procs in single-target attacks (Scream, Chillblain, Shriek, Shout, Screech)

(Of course, he's not yet high enough for Frozen Aura/Flash Freeze, and I dont have all the Entropic Chaos procs yet...)

  6. Oops, looking again, the time I was looking at is the "You last visited..." time. So everything is working correctly. You've just got to go to your User CP and edit your time zone under options.
  7. Hmm, interesting. I just went to check it there were time zone settings in the User CP (there are), but my time zone is set correctly, and the clock is still off by about 4 hours and 40 minutes. Even if it were a time zone issue, only the hour should be wrong.

However, the post times appear to be correct.

How about "except for people using 15-day time cards, everyone in the game is paying in 30-day blocks"?

And I think the 15-day time cards have been discontinued, too...

Reactor room waves have absolutely nothing to do with how fast you defeat things. If you take too long to defeat a wave, the next one joins before you're finished. If you defeat a wave too fast, you sit around twiddling your thumbs while you wait.

StarGeek is correct; I had the direction backwards
(So, rather than 90% effectiveness like I said before, it's 111% effectiveness)

    The first of what month?

On the Gregorian calendar, a month could be anywhere between 28 and 31 days long. A month, as far as Veteran Rewards goes, is always exactly 30 days.

Close. GMs hit you as if they are your level. If you're higher than the GM's natural level, you hit them as if you're their level. If you're lower than their level, you hit them as if they are 1 level higher than you, which means 90% effectiveness.

The +Stealth IOs are not set bonuses. They should always work so long as you have access to the slotted power.
  18. Also, the Recovery cap is 500%-750% (depending on archetype), which translates to 8.34%-12.51% per second (what the IOs and CA window tell you). So you're nowhere near that cap.

Send in all the Defenders. A million Scrappers and a Defender may be a world-sized Cuisinart, but a million Defenders is like nuking each one from orbit, just to be sure.

Not all of them from orbit. Each one from orbit. The former implies just one nuke. The latter...
  23. Also, if you're not after temp powers or badges or whatnot, punching up the nice, close together spawns of PPD (with convenient Longbow ambushes that come straight to you!)/enemies loitering on the streets is faster than traveling to the next radio mission.
