I wouldn't say WAI either, but it's a minor bug due to existing code that might be more trouble than it's worth to fix.

Quote:I believe this is actually an issue with enemy spawning rules.I thought for sure this was concerning the bug where they don't "spawn" for some reason. It's hard to test attacks when there's nothing there. :-/
1) Enemies don't spawn if there's nobody in range for them to matter
2) Enemies try to avoid spawning if someone can see them
If there's nobody in the Vanguard base, the targets won't spawn (they're technically enemies, and if there's nobody around, they're not needed). If someone logs in within view of the targets, they won't spawn (someone can see them). The rest, I suppose, depends on whatever spawn/despawn timer they're on. -

Quote:Just saying "Watch this!" only means it will fail. Saying "Hold my beer - watch this!" is required for a spectacular failure.Anything attempted after saying "Watch this!" will be a spectacular failure.
Corollary:
If the enemy is out of range, you're probably still in range anyway.
Except falling damage!

Quote:Something I've always wanted to see is an Exalted MMO. Among other things, you get 7 health levels. You can pick up Ox-Body Technique as many times as you like (up to your Resistance or Stamina rating, depending on Exalt type) to increase your health levels. Your Resistance and Stamina ratings max at 5 or your Essence rating, whichever is higher. Your Essence rating maxes at 10. An Essence 10/Stamina 10 Lunar could have 47 health levels, and that would be "ohmygawd ridiculous".And the fact that a level 50 character has 15 times the hitpoints of a level 1 character strikes me as nothing short of ridiculous, too.

(Actually... a Lunar could pick up Legendary Attribute: Stamina to get Stamina 11, get another Ox-Body, and go up to 51 health levels)
A Dragon-Blooded could get 21 health levels (or 27 if you allowed them to get Essence 10, but in the tabletop game canon they don't live long enough to reach that), but they also have more force-multiplier skills.
Any starting character could get Ox-Body Technique 5 times, for at least 14 health levels.
How many MMOs have something resembling our sidekicking system? There's Final Fantasy XI, and Guild Wars 2 is supposed to have something similar (but of course, isn't released yet), but I can't think of any others.Quote:1) You Can't Play With the People You Want to Play With: I still snicker whenever I hear this called an unsolved problem, yeah; at this point, MMOs that offer a sidekicking system of some kind outnumber those that don't. This isn't an MMO problem. This is a WoW problem; Blizzard has fallen far behind the rest of the industry.
MMOs with a sidekicking system certainly do not outnumber those that don't, even without including the Korean Grindfest MMOs. -
Quote:Don't be surprised. Igniting Oil Slick and making the Bruiser behave sanely are the two things that are unlikely to ever happen reliablyTA is one of the few sets I have never played in this game, but I recall hearing about this bug years ago in game and on these forums. Quite surprised to hear it's still around.

Maybe Hover? Hover has a high Fly magnitude so that it isn't instantly grounded by a -fly effect.

I haven't used Splasher in ages, so I'm not exactly certain how Leandro implemented things, but my first guess would be you'll just have to wait until he updates it to reflect file changes.

The only thing I can think of is that emerge is quoted, even though it's only one word. But I can't imagine that would be the problem...

Quote:Or you can be like me, and adblock the whole image (and logo) so you don't have the load the huge freaking thing every time you click a link in the forumIf, on the other hand, you only have a small display, say 1024 x 768, or you keep your browser limited on at most half the screen like me, you'll most likely only ever get to see Statesman and Recluse.

(It also makes you less conspicuous if you're surfing the forums during work or class...

Quote:I don't think there has been anything official on Praetoria zones other than there will be at least one, and you'll be able to start new characters in Praetoria.I was under the impression that there would be zones for levels 1-20 in Praetoria, where you could start hero or villain ATs, and then a level 50 zone?
I wouldn't be surprised if we get multiple zones, but I haven't seen a redname saying we're getting multiple. I've seen a number of players spouting off how many Praetorian zones we're going to have... but every person I've seen has said a different number. -
Quote:On the other hand, we've got what, 5-10 people that would be responsible for adding new zones and missions? How many man-hours go into making a new continent for WoW?you're trying to compare upgrades to teaming and challenge/difficulty settings to adding entire continents with hundreds of quests, an entirely new tier of endgame content, 1-2 years of continued expansion and support (per expansion)
(I'm not disagreeing with you, just trying to put things in perspective) -
First screw up: Not taking either form toggle!

In the manga and FMA: Brotherhood. In the original anime production, Wrath was the homunculus formed when Izumi tried to revive her baby, and is the only homunculus that can perform alchemy, because he's got Ed's arm and leg.

But you're not necessarily SKed to the team leader. You get SKed to the person who owns the mission you're on. You're only SKed to the team leader if you're doing the leader's missions, you're on a TF (the game treats the leader as the mission owner), or you're not on any mission at all.

I wrote this Thugs/Dark guide a while ago. It's a little out of date (for example, no mention of Recharge Intensive Pets sets), but I think it's fairly good, if I do say so myself

The way you present it, it seems you mean for the three circles on the bottom to be a group of radio buttons (only one selected at a time). I'd recommend checkbox behavior instead (any number selected). Because "Neutral" is an alignment for arcs, and someone may not want to see Heroic/Villainous at all, but just wants to see Neutral. Or what if they want Heroic and Neutral, but not Villainous, etc.
