Quote:City of Data. For example, when you first encounter him, Romulus Augustus has the powerset Romulus Base. In the final mission of the ITF, he has the powerset Romulus Nictus.Unfortunately I'm not sure of any websites that document this data.
CoD isn't always updated quickly, though. I don't believe it has Reichsman's powers anywhere. -

Hmmm... I was in the car the other day, and the radio started playing Safety Dance. Really surprised me to hear it.

Also: specifically asking to get into beta is a good way to not get in

It's the first instance of the same style of black pajama-wearing ninjas we see today, it became a popular trope in Japanese plays involving ninja, and the image has remained fairly constant for decades. I don't see how you can so flippantly dismiss it as the source for the black-pajama-ninja stereotype.

Quoting Paragonwiki, "Penny wants to be like a normal teenager"
And glancing at the page history, it doesn't look like her description has been updated recently, either. -

Quote:Actually, the source of the black-clad ninja we normally associate with ninjas today is the fault of the old-school Japanese plays.Anime is hardly to blame for how ninja are portrayed, bad Kung Fu flicks are (and in the actual history, probably the ninja themselves).
...
the meaning of ninja just being "assassin" has changed to describe the black-suited mystic acrobats any schoolchild should recognize (hence why you can have that retarded movie titled "Ninja Assassin"...which still makes me cringe to hear/read).
The stage hands (the people that moved the props around and put the set together) normally dressed in all-black pajamas (what you think of when you think "ninja"), and were generally on-stage even in the middle of the performance. The audience was supposed to just ignore them as if they weren't there.
Then someone got creative and had the actor of the assassin pretend to be a stage hand until it was time for the assassination. Suddenly, one of the people you're supposed to be ignoring is an actual character, and is stabbing the emperor with a knife. -
The booster packs (in fact, IIRC, anything you buy from the online store) don't give you a serial number on the webpage, but you do get an email titles "Serial Code Applied" which as the serial in the body of the email.

Quote:It does. Just like you have a random chance to get a "Trick" (enemies) or "Treat" (insp/costume temp power) from Trick or Treating on Halloween, the Winter event has a random chance to give you "Naughty" (enemies) or "Nice" (insp/temp power/candy cane salvage) from the Gamester's presents scattered around the various zones.POINT: Christmas events should have something that parallels door-to-door ToT for halloween.
In addition to the presents and mission from Father Time, the Winter event opens up the Ski Slopes in Pocket D. -
Quote:*facepalm*A different weapon for each aura, and then just let us select the color scheme associated with it (like orange, green, blue elec shields etc)
That's EXACTLY WHAT I SAID in response to the first suggestion for weapon auras. They can and have created weapons whose auras are a part of the weapon. There are several such weapons available to players already.
What they can't do is create weapon auras in the same manner that we have auras to place on our body - separate objects put on attachment points. This does not work for the weapons. -
Quote:Which was my #2 point in my list of reasons WoW is popular. Warcraft was Blizzard's most popular series. Of course the Warcraft fans were going to try another Warcraft game, even if it wasn't an RTS.I stand corrected.
My real point was the 10 year head start they had over CoH. Those players who were in Warcraft would naturally try and most would sub to WoW.
This is the same train of thought that caused people to purchase Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. -
Quote:While I wouldn't call it Science, there's always Batman: the Crimson Mist:Natural/Tech yeah, but I'm not seeing the Science - is there some main continuity Batman story I'm not aware of where he's been granted special powers by a scientific process? (I hope not...)

I'm not a WoW player, but that's not what I've heard about their PvP.
On the other hand, WoW (and several other MMOs besides) have a larger variety of PvP modes to make it more interesting than simply "kill the other guys". -
Quote:Yes. It also includes the 100% you start with.Does that 500% include the possible 100% buff from slotting damage IOs in a power?
Yes, the recharge cap includes your recharge slotting. However, unlike damage, you start at 0%, not at 100% (assuming you use the "1 / 1 + Rech%" equation for recharge; the "1 + " is effectively your base 100%) -

Quote:1. "Natural" is not "The single most broad origin".I refuse to believe Natural, the single most broad origin, could be ruined so utterly by something as lame as ninjas.
2. Niv already confirmed Martial Arts is the Natural booster, so you'd best accept it. Your only hope at this point is that they'll start another round of origin-themed boosters after the mutant booster arrives.
