  1. When GR goes live, I plan to roll a KM/EA toon. EA is the one armor I've always been unable to find a good concept for, and now that I've got one, I'm running with it lol. I just hope I can make it work.
  2. Welcome to the forums, and to CoH! To check server downtimes, please report to the following page.

    http://www.cityofheroes.com/news/ser...er_status.html

This page can be accessed from www.cityofheroes.com by going to the news button on the left side and clicking it, then clicking the server status link.
  3. Honestly, I don't think the card's an issue. or, at least, I HOPE not, as I have the same card in my rig atm. And I'm having the exact situation you are at present.

I'm pretty sure they're still running the non-optimized client, though.

    I hope.
  4. I'm fairly surprised that it's not the GPU. Te only other thing that I could think would be causing that would be the Motherboard, as it's the only component the GPU is directly interfacing with, however, I'm still not convinced that's the cause.

Please let us know what the issue is!

EDIT: I was too slow, I guess. Here's hoping the RMA works out!
  5. Honestly, I don't notice Share Pain causing that much of an issue for me.

Also, I took the attacks for a reason. Sitting around waiting for the pets to do their thing and just throwing out the occasional heal isn't fun for me, so I'll likely be keeping those.

Thanks for all the input though. And, keep it coming!

EDIT: Also, Share Pain dispenses the damage out amongst your pets if you're in BG mode, which I always am. That's likely why I don't notice a problem.
  6. So, I've been thoroughly enjoying my Necro/Pain MM (my firs real attempt at an MM at all) the last few weeks. He's at Level 26 Now, and I'm happy with the way he plays so far.

    But, I have a problem.

I'm not sure where to go with him at this point, as this is my first experience with both sets.

I've taken Dark Blast and Gloom, all the pets, and the first upgrade from the primary, And I've taken the first three powers from the secondary.

I'm considering dropping Soothe altogether, as it's much less effective than Share Pain, and I have No idea what ones are skippable and which ones aren't.

And then, of course, there's Soul mastery down the road...it's just a bit overwhelming!

Any advice out there from you seasoned MM Veterans?
  7. So, a buddy and I got on to test the situation, and we conclusively proven that Cross-serving teaming was not the goal.

As per an earlier statement, we both logged into a different server.

I logged into Training Room One, He logged into Training Room Two.

As Savannah said earlier, on my Global list he was listed as being on TrainingPool, I was listed on Training2. This is a server mislabel. Nothing more, nothing less.
  8. Notice that, with every new set of wings, the character looks a little more ridiculous.

A character with, for example, 6 wings...would be downright laughable.

    Incarnate Levels

I'm thinking that this is not exactly a level bump more like "Okay, I'm lvl 50, and My incarnate abilities are at level 3. I'm the same level as all the other 50's out there, I just have a few more abilities/perks/slots/whatever it gets us."

So, I imagine, Once you hit lvl 50, Incarnate Level 2, it will become "Level 2 Incarnate Tanker LFT" Incarnate being the nod that you've hit 50 and moved on.

    Just my 2 inf.
  10. I went with a ABS Canon 695, which is basically just a re-branded Lian Li case. It's massive, plenty of space for cooling and basically anything you'd want to stick in there, but, it's an enthusiast case for sure, so you'd need to spend a little over double what you're looking to.

How generous of you. Look, you're not compelled to use any of the suggestions offered, but it would be courteous to at least acknowledge the effort people made in responding and trying to help.
Easy, killer. I wasn't trying to be snarky. I do appreciate you guys looking at it, even if the only reason I posted it was so Hera could look at it, as we'd made arrangements earlier for him to do so.

No need to get so testy.

So much emphasis on when I took powers, even when i said that I didn't do it in a specific order in Mid's, only the game itself. Read, folks!

As for the advice, I'll look into it when i get more time.

This is a finish product build. Power select and slot levels don't really matter :P But, in the real build, I did take it at 18 hehe.

  18. kay, my first 50 villain was this brute, The Red Voltier, and I'm definitely wanting to get some more playtime out of him.

The poor guy has been sitting around doing nothing for almost a year, and I miss playing him the damage is awesome...but he's only SO Slotted because I had no Idea how to slot him to make him more survivable. Here's my best attempt so far. I know it's probably got some HUGE problems, but I'm hoping that between myself and the good people here in the brute forum, we'll be able to come up with something I'm happy with. Any comments or critiques or helpful hints are greatly appreciated!

*Please note, the slots were not placed in any specific order, so please ignore that bit.

That was, more or less, my point. CB should be used bughunting before it should be used for performance evaluation, that's all.
Well, I understand your point. But, I'm sure you equally understand my desire to test the waters on a rig I built for the sole purpose of running Ultra Mode without hiccups.

But, again, you are correct. CB should definitely be prioritizing bugs in the new graphics modes and the new zones, missions, and systems, no question about that.

    Issue 17

Well, I had absolutely Zero performance issues related to the capabilities to Yggdrasil (My Rig). The only problems I had directly correlate to test itself. I'm just extremely curious if I'll be able to crank the new settings or not. I *should* be able to.

That, and, there's been scuttlebutt indicating that the issues CoX has with ATi rigs are being reduced/diminished/alleviated. I would like to see ASAP first-hand whether or not that particular rumor is true.

    Issue 17

I wonder if being in the DP closed beta will make it so I'm viable for the I17 Closed Beta. Because I want to test me some ultra mode on my new rig. See if it's up to scratch.

Here's hoping I get the e-mail in the next few days.
  22. Interestingly enough, my jaggies occur only on Test, but not on live, with the exact same settings.
  23. That would be me. We discussed it briefly on the Test server the other day. The second I upgraded to the 10.2 Drivers, it fixed the Alt-tabbing issue. However, please note that if you alt tab excessively, there's a chance that the game will start reading the wrong files or the images. I spent half an hour last night walking through PI wile the sky cycled from clouds and whatnot to a giant version of the zone map to the marble floor from the Atlas City Hall, etc, etc.

Also, I'm not 100% sure, but I followed all the recommended settings in this thread and everything looks...jagged on the edges.
  24. Okay, so I am trying to access my DP/Dev Blaster which I DC'ed on while attempting to Zone to Steel Canyon. 3 - 4 Hours later, when i attempt to log on to him, it sys that her's "Still logging out". Has anyone else had a similar problem or heard if there's going to be a fix, because as far as I'm aware, Steel Canyon is a black hole atm.
