  1. The protector bots bubble you with a bubble so you don't have to be above 45%. 34% is good enough. Just wait for the bubble. And you only need the positionals or the typed, you don't need both. The only hole is for untyped damage but everyone has that problem.

    Here's my build which I've been very happy with. I could always take provoke but I don't need it. I'm not soloing AVs, just tooling around at +2x6.

    All the pets are softcapped with 2 prot bubbles each except the protector bots themselves.

    You're sacrificing too many powers to get all those softcaps. For an MM I've found you only need softcapped to ranged if you're going for defenses. I don't see the point in not taking cauterize.

    I've had a lot of success (pve) either building out my MMs for +hp and +rech or softcapped to ranged.

    Psylenz, he didn't put in all the slots, I think it was just a base example.

    I just created a Zombie/Therm and here's the build I'll probably go with (first draft, power order not correct) based off of plainguy's example:

    Nobody should care but this is what I did. I deleted the 50 Zombie/Pain and rerolled him as a Zombie/Therm. And now I got my ninja/storm.

    All level pacted and ready to go! Just 46 more level pacted levels to go. Ugh.
  5. True, zombies on fire is appealing. The issue I had with pain is that it doesn't have the stopping power of storm, dark, trick arrow or traps. I even like bubbles better. Maybe I'll delete my zombie/pain and make a zombie/therm. Then I'll level pact him with a ninja/storm.

    The pets don't complain. If they do, I dismiss 'em!

    Ninjas are quick and they hit hard so it had me doubting my choice of Zombies.

    I could make one of each and level pact 'em. Hmmmmm!
  8. I have a thugs/storm and most of my MMs are Thugs or Bots because they kick ***. I have a Zombie/Pain and I hate /Pain more than I hate Zombies so I was thinking of Zombie/Storm.

    I never liked Ninjas but I figured they'd be pretty ruthless when paired with /Storm as well.

    So the million infamy question: should I go with Zombie/Storm or Ninja/Storm?

  10. Looking for feedback or just sharing the build?

    Comments:

    - After playing this, seeker drons is a must have.
    - Time bomb is skippable.
    - If you want a useful mule power go with Web Envelope and slot gravitational anchors.
    - Having softcapped ranged defense for me is night and day. I was on an ice mistral and only had softcap to s/l -- boy oh boy could I feel the difference.

    I think I'll stick with what I have for now. The +recharge I have in my build gives me the powers I need when I need 'em with no holes.

    One thing I will be doing is slotting kick with the FFG +rechg. I never put it into my builds because it messes up the numbers.

  11. So I got him all pimped out at lvl 47 and he's lots of fun to play. My attack chain is:

    - Seeker drones
    - Black Scorpion Web Grenade
    - Web grenade on a boss (bosses)
    - Build up
    - Rain of Fire
    - Fireball

    Poison trap and Acid mortar find their way in there but I'm not using caltrops as much as I figured I would.

    It's a very fun build to play. Next stop, trip mines.

  15. How was the turnout? I used to team arena pvp back in the day on my Thugs/Storm and Bots/TA. I had my Thugs/FF all pimped out before everything went to ****.

    I'd join if it were a Villain or mixed team.

  20. 2 small blues and you're back in business. And the nice thing about /traps is you have FFG for some protection.

    Inferno stays for now. I'll have him all IO'd out by this weekend so I"ll have to see if I miss Flares too much.
  21. lol, thanks for the replies. I dropped flares and I think I like it. He's level 45 now so I've already missed the mark and don't know just how beautiful caltrops + rain of fire are together but I'll play around with it later.

    I took Black Scorp's AOE immobilize to keep 'em in the traps longer. I'm still going to keep it because I think it'll still be useful.

    I'm also going to keep the nuke for now but may drop it later. When I see a large group and they con white, yellow or orange (even red) I start drooling like a kid at a kid store.

    I also don't use trip mine often enough to justify keeping it but I'll keep it for now as well because there are situations where it's useful. I also think once I am softcapped I'll have more opportunities to use them without being interrupted.

  22. I'd like both but I don't want to drop any other powers. This build is softcapped to S/L/E and Ranged.

    Originally I had caltrops in the build but Rain of Fire will do more damage with a slightly longer recharge.

    I could drop Inferno but what kind of corrupter would I be without a nuke?

    Thoughts? Advice?

  23. This thread has devolved quite a bit. Lets keep it simple for the OP. No talk about tactics or IO slotting. He's not at that point yet.

  25. OP, don't go the stamina-less route. I know it can be done, but my feeling is you're too new to the game and without an understanding of ED (enhancement diversification) or an understanding of the nubmers, it's going to be tough.

    Checkout http://paragonwiki.com for some good base information.

    I just threw together a generic IO only build on how I'd approach it. Generic IOs are essentially the same as SOs. They're a little bit more expensive but they offer more of a bonus. 42.4% instead of 33.3% for a power. It won't make much of a difference for you if you just go with SOs for now with the build I've put below.

    I did this very quickly but it should hopefully give you an idea on how to slot the powers and what to slot them with.

    If a power only takes recharges, the most you should slot is 3. The 4th one gives diminishing returns. Each generic IO at level 50 gives 42.4% to an attirbute. So 2 accuracy (84.8% is usually good enough). So 2 recharges would improve the recharge time of a power by 84.8%, etc. 3 gives a bonus of 99.8%. If you slot these things in Mids and mouse over the power you'll see what the numbers are. If you look at the window on the bottom left, it'll give you the end cost, damage and other useful bits of information. This is helpful because if I slot 2 recharges in a power and the 2nd one is only giving me a boost of say another 3 seconds on the recharge, I may consider dropping it for another IO or I can move the slot somewhere else.

    Similarly if a power takes accuracy, damage, end redux and recharge you may want to 5 or 6 slot the power to fit in a bit of each. 2 acc, 2 damage and 2 recharge, etc.

    I slotted 1 end redux in each of the toggles and those powers that cost a reasonable amount of end. The good thing about bots/traps is that you will have some flexibility to move some slots around.

    Start with this base and switch out the powers you want to take. The learning curve here will be slotting and to sort out how many of what generic IOs or SOs to take.
