    doesnt that strike you as retarded that the only thing doable with less then 20 mil is a regen scrapper and a fire brute or tank? or phase???

    One issue with this is that it will discourage teaming. When someone on a team defeats another player everyone on the team gets rep but only one person will ever get a recipe.

    qft so it doesnt get lost.... this also a huge reason not to make this change

    that means someone on a 8 man team has a 1 in 800 chances every 5 mins.... assuming that their team doesnt kill the taget or you dont get killed by the target within the 5 mins

  7. i suggest you all chime in on the training room section on the patch notes about the changes to pvp drops before the devs eff all the non freedom servers for lack of population.

    Dont ever think the devs or anyone will be able to prevent farming. You can do things to mitigate it but never prevent. Also i wouldnt worry too much about a reward system. There are plenty in other games *cough* WoW *cough* that do it this like 5 times better then CoX. As far as badges and piddly temp powers the draw for these mini games and stuff should be for interesting new players and existing pvpers to both have fun. Adding a buncho badges will just have a influx of the badgers for a few days and then it will be run of the mill fluf stuff after that. Overall if its not fun to begin with after the shiny wears off it will turn into a never used 'feature'. Usually the simplist things are the most entertaining, not always a need to have something complicated and all.

  13. The problem is they need some kind of reward system linked to these mini games to really work (money/xp unless on a much greater scale then it is not reward enough.) (insert wow's pvp reward system here). Otherwise this will just degenerate into any of the other zones as they are now... just kill fests or dead zones. The current 1/100 chance for a pvp drop (which doesnt actually drop right now thanks to a new i15 bug) is not incentive enough to draw ppl just for doing zone pvp. The objectives of the zones need to relate to pvp loot. Then ppl would actually do this type of thing for more then getting random temp powers or lvling really slowly 40-50.

    Also more integration of a ladder and more tourny setting with relation to a pvp loot system would grow that area as well. There are plenty of ideas and game systems that take time and money to develop that the devs really should seriously work on and push out and thats something that they could work on that dont really do anything for the pvp 'balance' they currently have but would just draw more ppl overall.

    Um... ppl were heal decaying themselves to death at first. Thats why mm AND corrs aura was changed to regen auras in a pvp zone. As far as for pve... i dont care that much about it to know but from what you said it makes sense.

    My best is somewhere between 5 and 6 hours, which included the server crashing for 10 minutes. I'm sure that could have been more refined, organized and efficient and broken 5. Then I know a few other tricks that could, without a doubt, bring it down to 4 flat.

    I do the basic "All AE Boss map" with my SS/Fire Brute and Fire/Kin Corruptor. I think doing a map of all Fake Nemesis bosses would be significantly faster though my duo cannot handle them.

    I've been thinking about doing 5-15 minute AE tests to see how fast certain setups are at power leveling. My initial thoughts on how to do this were...
    Spawn any map for any number of players.
    Have a player of the level you want Exemplar/Malefactor a level 50 running herostats to that specific level. Example (we want you as a 45 while we fight 52s, have a level 45 stand outside the map, exemplar a 50 running herostats and the 50 enters)
    The beat up peoples go into the map
    The 50 runs herostats and sees the Influence per minute

    Any suggested changes? Do I need to adjust the total for bosses because they give more Inf than XP?

    I see no reason to exempt a 50 to give you a fake 45... Just duo what you normally do (the brute and kin combo) set for 8 and check what hero stats is giving you there and then do the same thing for the maps/enemy types you want to test. That will give you your answer there. Unless of course your testing something else as well
  20. If you roll a brute SS/Fire is the current flavor. If you roll a scrapper let me save you the pain of DM and just roll Kat or BS. If your want another dom I suggest either Mind/Eng or Mind/Fire.
