  1. I realise this thread only officially covers up to May, but there's just no way I could post about nominations without bringing up who I'd like to nominate for June.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, I think that the Shock Tactics picture by Corona should win. He's one of (if not THE) best artist we have on the boards, and he should definately be recognised as such.
  2. Well, since we're plugging, let us not forget...

When The Forum Types (from January)
    Into The Inferno (from Febuary)
    We Will RP (from Febuary)
Paragon City (from Febuary, as featured on Evo Radio)
The Flames Of Justice (from March)
    Bloodlines (from March)
    Reunion (from April)
Me And My Hero (from April)
    Fire Blaster (from April)
    Ask A Ben (from April)
Can The Dev Team Hear Us (from May)

...These aren't all of the creative things I've done since January, but I'd say they're probably the best things to choose from, if anyone were so inclined. On a totally unrelated note...Bridger, if you're going to the London Comic Con on the 1st, remind me to buy you a pint or two...

Okay, well, those that are coming, I'll see you in there. Those that aren't see you next week.

    anyone coming?

edit - looks like the servers are going down. Gotta love this game sometimes.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah. looks like it'll be postponed again - although, a 10pm start is the same as a 7/30 start, as far as I'm concerned.

Okay, will anyone be making it to tonights session? I should be on from 7.30pm (UK); hanging round the Hollows making the place look untidy as always

    [/ QUOTE ]

I shall definately be there. Cooking dinner up now so I don't need to get away. It'll be the first proper run for the upgraded PC...sick of the computer slowing you down? Irritated by the lack of multi-tasking? Buy two gig of RAM. Ohhh, yes.

I can happily (if somewhat scarily) state that I've literally read every single post made in it. I got bored one day.

[/ QUOTE ] I did that once for the GG thread, back when it was around 7200 posts.

It needs to be a very boring day to take me to do that again.

    Yes, m'dear, but you're insaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane.

perhaps, but no-one read s the creative forum!- how will the proletariat get to hear of my idea if it is moved?
Plus, i invited peeps to *discuss* the idea...

Look for the songs thread and give it a bump friend, and people do read the Creative forum. I'm one of them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In Soviet Russia, threads read you!

And people -do- read the Creative forums, OP. I can happily (if somewhat scarily) state that I've literally read every single post made in it. I got bored one day.
  8. Go for it. The method you choose to update is entirely up to you.
  9. Inspired by a remark Myopic made in the Doctor Who thread, I decided to try my hands at a Doctor Who/City Of Heroes script. However, I got bored with it just after the second page. So, I'm throwing it open to other people to finish it, and maybe get things going as a Round Robin.

Some suggested (and they are only suggested) guidelines:

No more than two pages per iteration.
Let's try to keep this going as long as possible.
No breaking out of the characterisations set by previous Round Robiners.
(I know The Doctor and Roses' characterisations change from episode to episode, but this is to prove that we're, collectively, better writers than Russell T. Davis)
No swearing! This should, ideally, be as close to an actual Doctor Who script as any of us are going to get to writing.
Having said that...Deus Ex Machina = baaaad. Well thought out idea = goooooood.

The first bit - obviously, feel free to add your name to the byline once you've added something.

My original idea was that The Doctor, at some point in the future when he's Companionless (yay!) travels to Paragon City in its' past, and thwarts a Vahzilok attack. He does such a good job that they erect a statue of him in Atlas Park, and the statue replaces that of Atlas. In Paragons' present, the Vahzilok (who have become Daleks - Dr Vahzilok as Davros appealled to me, for some reason) come down in a big spaceship, and Statesman calls for The Doctor using a Sonic Screwdriver type device. The call, however, reaches the Doctor as we know him now, with Rose (boo!) and he goes to Paragon City for the first time, with everyone worshipping him as a Hero.

Think 7th Doctor Battlefield, but with a [censored] assistant and no Excalibur.

    Aaaand.....take it away!

I shave my head every summer at around this time...I have done for the past eight years or so.
  11. Fire_Guardian_EU

    Dear lord, no.

That's one of the reasons I'm taking a summer hiatus.

The website will be expanded to include updates, more social commentaries (when I have anything of interest to say) a virtual MP3 player for the songs I've done, and a few other items of goodness.

that happened to me a few months ago.

I used to work for them, I could tell you a few stories that will make you understand why most past employees refer to it as NTHell

I think every company's like that. I could tell you stories about Toys R Us that would make you refuse to shop there in the future.

    The Experiment

I'll definately be there next week. On Wednesday, I woke up, tried to check my e-mails and get onto the boards, only to discover that NTL had cancelled my Internet connection, shut off my phoneline, and removed all but the terrestrial TV channels - all this because I was a day late in paying them this month.

    Lovely company.
  14. Fire_Guardian_EU

    Dear lord, no.

Episode 17, which also doubles as the season finale, is now available for viewing.

What with summer now upon us, as well as a few personal things going on, I'll be taking a break for a few weeks to get things all sorted out before resuming. The new batch should be ready to go for September. Thanks to everyone who's asked questions already, and a big thank you to everyone for watching.

If rage does that, then it's an AWESOME coinkidink.

Rage also spells the character's name out in fire over their heads. It's quite cool.

IIRC, the original premise for Wam's Experiment was that we were conduction a science experiment, that went wrong. Obviously, we'd need Wam to clarify matters.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or just look at Post1 in this thread........

    [ QUOTE ]
During a massive science experiment innocent workers and nearby pedestrians we're genetically altered to give some control of fire and flames. With their new found powers, these people have bonded together to put right the wrongs in Paragon City!

    [/ QUOTE ]

So yeah you could be EITHER a scientist or a normal passerby as it said.

I'll b there tonight to jump about and look pretty.

Well it's going to spoil my fun I7 has managed to degrade my PC performance when running CoX, to the point that it now keeps crashing. Unless I can sort it out tonight you probably won't get to see me till next wednesday

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ah, but, as Paul McCartney said in The Frog Chorus, "We all lag together". I'm certainly looking forward to tonights' offering, since I've done a temporary fix on my PC so I shouldn't freeze as much. If I might make a suggestion, if we put down some definate ground-rules for the costume, we all have tokens now, so we can sort out a more uniform look - and we can also take advantage of the i7 costume pieces for heroes. Since the backstory of The Experiment has us all as being in a lab, I think Lab Coats wouldn't go amiss. Apart from, of course, Smoking Jacket, as the costume is hilarious.

Have you played a Kheldian, If so was it a PB or WS and why did you choice that one first?

The easy answer to this is no. I'm still l22 with my main.
  20. Fire_Guardian_EU

    Dear lord, no.

Guest starring my Funky Hat from the "What Do You Look Like" thread, Ask A Ben 16 (which was filmed before the whole hat thing started...) is now up for your perusal.

Also, I wouldn't say I was bored when I made this, but MAAAN was I bored.

    [ QUOTE ]
So... was that a "wrap it up because I'm done with it" kind of thing, or are you currently waiting for new questions?

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, I still have questions coming in thick and fast. However, at the amount I had, it was either going to be a case of constantly being backlogged, with people asked when their questions would come up, or clear them all away in one fell swoop. I chose to do the latter. Ask A Ben is still going strong.

What is going on with vegetarians, dont they know eating meat is natural. Or maybe you want a political question :Why do those who have power suck?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, Vegetarianism is a way of life for many people, for reasons of health, choice, or religion. Whilst I, myself, am not a Vegetarian, it's, as I said, a way of life for people, and as such, I don't really want to offend anyone who isn't deserving of it.

    [ QUOTE ]
A game question: Who would win, States or Recluse?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    It's been asked.

    [ QUOTE ]
A general question: What is the meaning of life?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Been asked.

    [ QUOTE ]
    A random question:
    Mr. See owned a saw.
And Mr. Soar owned a seesaw.
Now See's saw sawed Soar's seesaw
    Before Soar saw See,
    Which made Soar sore.
    Had Soar seen See's saw
    Before See sawed Soar's seesaw,
See's saw would not have sawed
    Soar's seesaw.
So See's saw sawed Soar's seesaw.
But it was sad to see Soar so sore
    Just because See's saw sawed
    Soar's seesaw!
    Who cares about a seesaw?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Whilst I enjoy random questions, there's a limit to even my randomness.

    [ QUOTE ]
    OR
Sing us some death metal, for the pure fun of it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Death metal isn't sung. It's screamed and growled. Whilst I enjoy many, many forms of music, I don't believe that death metal is music, and as such, have no truck with it.
  23. Fire_Guardian_EU

    Dear lord, no.

Right. As of now, I'm amazingly low on questions...in that I have none.

    Fear the Omnibus Edition!
  24. An excellent drawing, and welcome to the forums!
