  1. I have a major dilemma...Ice/Rad or Fire/Rad? Someone help!
  2. Sunday? Also, we appear to have 2 threads
  3. [ QUOTE ]
It lets me take down multiple death mages without having to worry about my acc being floored, thus I like it, its quite funny ghosting with it, standing in a group, clicking the glowie then running off. All in all for the cost of one power and 1 slot its worth it

PS also have seen people tank AVs with it, obviously has to be a non Psi AV but it does work. Me I'd stick to the overpowered IH for that but hey, different strokes for different folks

    [/ QUOTE ]

I used to tank AVs with MoG in Issue 5 with very few problems. These days they have 50% more acc when MoG'd so it isn't quite as easy. I find that IH can't keep up with an AV's burst damage and it doesn't usually have a long enough duration.

And keep that 'overpowered' talk down! Don't want a dev to see it (not that they ever visit the EU boards, that is)...

carnies, arachnos, rularuu, psi clockwork... hmm

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is speaking from someone who used Regen on Villains. I never saw any of those factions except Arachnos and Carnies. And Rularuu in Level 35-40.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Then get out of our forum, Stalker boy

Yep, if it fails you on one occaision it is a completely worthless power!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Now where in my post does it say that? It doesn't. I could just be using that as an example of one of many occasions as to where it has failed me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You used one example to refute someone saying that it can save you. If you intended it or not, it sounded like you were judging the power on that one time it failed you.
  6. Rikti, Praetorians, Psi Clockwork...

Although it's not as common as people often make out.
  7. Aha! New thread...don't venture into this forum much!

Yeah, I'm going to reroll as Ice/Rad cos I dislike Sonic with a passion! It's so boring! Will try and get up to level 10ish before we next team again.
  8. Yep, if it fails you on one occaision it is a completely worthless power!
  9. [ QUOTE ]
You should take it but should not take it from the reasons of The_Aurrius.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Wow.

    [ QUOTE ]
You will need to slot some stuff in there to make it good...no slots won't be very useful to you and then you'll wonder why you bothered to take the power.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Look up the stats for the power first, and you will see that MoG doesn't really need slotting at all.

    [ QUOTE ]
To MoG...but just slot some stuff in there.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    'Some stuff'...great advice there!
  10. [ QUOTE ]
I would personally say don't take it. I don't have it on either of my two 50 /Regeneration Scrapper nor on my 50 /Regeneration Stalker, and I'm good with it. I'd rather pick up Assault from the Leadership pool.
Moment of Glory gives you a lot of defence, and a lot of resistance, but its problem is that it basically decapitates you. Your health is taken down to about 20% of your maximum, and your ability to heal/regenerate is taken away completely. Even with slotted with 3xDefence, 1xResistance you will die in seconds. I have found (from personal use) that enemies hit through Moment of Glory WAY too easy, and when they hit you, they hit you hard, even with all the resistance you get.
My advice: Skip it, take a USEFUL power instead.

    [/ QUOTE ]

MoG give about 75% base defence (I'm at work and can't check the numbers), which is well above the soft defence cap of 45%. You won't die in seconds, unless you are fighting mobs with Psi damage or ToHit buffs. Honestly, it has saved me more times than I can remember and although it does have it's problems (duration is too long and it's the only power in the game which makes you more vulnerable to some types of damage) it is a power that you should at least get and try for a few levels.
  11. It was very fun last night! Although I really dislike Sonic so I will reroll as an Ice/Rad - more AM anyone? Will get myself up to level 9ish before next Wed (or whenever we meet next).
  12. [ QUOTE ]
I think "get it, slot it, try to never use it" sounds about right. It probably won't ever save your life, but in the times you feel you need to use it it'll at least give you a little longer to SMASH (or in your case, SLASH ) through your enemies.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You don't really need to slot it, just stick a Resist SO in there and you'll be fine.
  13. At lower levels, Claws is probably the easiest to level as the lower end cost will mean you don't need to stop for end as much and the lower recharge will allow you to have a more fluid attack chain.
  14. Same here, I don't get back from work till about 7 either.
  15. Still, immobing Sappers will help us run away
  16. I'd quite like to make an Ice/Sonic or Earth/Sonic, but I haven't completely decided yet.
  17. If he drops Thunder Kick he won't have a very good attack chain. I agree on not taking CAK though.
  18. Depending on the times etc, I'd quite like to join this.
  19. Grats Smooth, think I remember teaming with Pointy back in the day.
  20. Ice/Energy Blasters are quite different to DM/DA Scrappers...
  21. For a defensive power you'll need to put in 4 set IOs to get the same defence buff 3 SOs would have given you. So for a passive unless you want any specific set bonuses it's probably not worth getting the IOs.

However, I have found that slotting set IOs has definitely improved my Kat/SR. With set bonuses (and Divine Avalanche) I am very close to the magical 45% defence mark and my end use is excellent, my end bar doesn't move.

  22. Get rid of Medicine, you really don't need it.
  23. In fact, higher regen means each percent of regen buff is worth less:

With no buffs, you regen 5% of your health every 12 seconds.

To halve this to 6 seconds, you need a 100% regen buff.

To halve this again to 3 seconds, you'll now need a 300% regen buff.

To halve this again to 1.5 seconds, you'll need a 700% regen buff.

(these numbers do not include your base regen, which is 100%)
  24. [ QUOTE ]
MoG (Moment of Glory) Is it worth it or not

    [/ QUOTE ]

Worth it! Once you learn how to use it.
  25. [ QUOTE ]
I would say yes ... gotta be 3 slotted though all heal IO's it gives u a better chance of suvival for a squishy 2ndary set ... Regen does have its uses and can save u a lot but dont rely on it too heavily ... I would get botm Health and Stam ... These two are needed when u get to the high 30's and onwards. Becoz of the nasty critters found in Perry Island

    [/ QUOTE ]

Regen? A squishy secondary? I've never heard that one before! Regen is arguably the strongest set for soloing, and it's still pretty good in teams as well.

Health is useful but by no means essential - I usually get it as a prerequisite to Stamina (although with the amount of end reduction you can get by slotting attacks with IO sets I'm considering respeccing it out...the question is what to take instead).
