It only took them a week to produce this! (they promise 5 business days for single character no background, and that is what I got) and that is with me requesting changes in the 3D model after seeing the WIP, and hurricane induced power troubles.

The shading is very easy with the trick I use.

I simply create a duplicate layer of the original picture. Cut it down to the areas the costume will cover. Then desaturate it for a B+W image. A color layer over that and you've got a painted on costume. Use some blurring on the b+w layer so the 'cloth' will seem to have some thickness. A filter will take care of most of it, special attention is needed to erase some details.

That takes care of most of the costuming for the spandex type costumes.

I'd like to do photoshops of my other characters, and maybe of other people's. (did a quick one of Green Radiance) The problem is finding the time, and the right photo to start with.

Managed to find myself with a little extra money, so decided to get a few pieces done of some of my characters. Thanks to Thor's Assasin for his list of artists. It was there that I was lead to RoadKillBlues, and this is what he made for me.

My requests, lowering the # of people needed to start some. I'm trying to get the Shadow Shard ones done, and with my schedule it can be hard finding enough people to even just fill in, let alone anyone willing to go along on it.

Also, the other night I did manage to finally get one stated. All the fill-ins quit leaving just me and one other person to play through. After a couple missions he got tired and logged, and I was dumped out of the TF!!!!!!! After all this time I finally get the chance to do it and I get dumped when everyone else goes offline?!?

oh, and some of these need to be shortened. 2 hours is fine for a short TF, but 7+ hours needed for something like the Crey Portal SS TF is insane.

That sounds interesting. I've been thinking of maybe they could do either a TF or a Veteran benefit where you get an extra power pick from the power sets/pools you already have. Or able to add a couple extra enhancement slots. There would be an upper limit that you could pick those benefits, but I would expect people would be maxing out their characters on it.

Now that would be a cool idea. Sometimes it is hard to get an extra person or two, and if you have an EB/AV mission you might be stuck. I'm a big badge hunter but getting a team for the Shadow Shard ones is impossible with the schedule I keep. Hiring a little extra help would be good. Could even make it an option that besides generic Heroes you could choose to put your characters into the system. Then I could 'team up' with my alts.

Like the new Contact listings. Last night noticed a few more people in the list than I though should have been... found out one was contact for cape mission, another was a Broker that was now active after teaming up for a few paper missions. Nice to have that reminder there, to see what I can actually do.

I like the new zone too. Yes, it is very sparse in content, but I believe it has been previously stated that I12 would be a little light in some areas as it is just setting things up for I13. Can make a couple educated guesses as to what some of that content is. First off, I13 will likely have to do more with the 'comming storm' and whoever it was Romulous called Master. The Origins arc was to learn about the origins heroes/villians have and inform us that in the past there were different origins, ones that do not exist today. I think this is a setup, that to face the comming storm we will have to go to the past and do an arc/TF to bring back the Incarnates Origin, as they will be needed to defeat this evil. (and how long have players been begging for Incarnates?)

Liked the TF a lot, very cool! This and Eden are my favorites. Went through twice with Pugs, first time we got to the end and took Romulous down once. Had a hard time doing it again, and several people were falling asleep so it fell appart. The next night another Pug and we rocked it. Oh, on the first time through noticed right off that the Oracle was Sister Psyche. No one else picked up on it either time. Damn but Manticor must be a very happy camper.
