So, if you don't read the dialogue for the missions, you are admittedly farming or power leveling?
-
I gave up on random rolls, I don't have much luck. Now, I just save up the 200 merits for a 7.5 because I'm always in need of them.

Quote:I think that team was a beast because you had 8 Corrupters, not because they were DP.My DP/Rad Corrupter is a Beast

(Yes this was our DXP Team)
Maybe you should try corrupters? or defenders? Blasters we all felt meh about.

Now, I am excited about I17 and it does have some nice QoL features. Although, I highly doubt that most people who have left the game for whatever reason will rush back saying: "Wow, I can hold 7 missions instead of 3 now, I gotta resub."

I'd just be happy if Hail of Bullets was buffed to compare to the other crashless nukes.

SS/SD is an absolute beast, so go for it.
-
Cause there aren't any PL noobs that don't use exploits. Oh wait.
There will be lvl 50 noobs no matter if there are exploits present or not. -
-
If there's no DXP in AE, it would be nice if one of the devs would actually say something about it.

Quote:That is one of the most uninformed posts I've probably ever read. Your first fault is classing a Brute as a Tank. Brutes are made to smash, the side effect of the smashing is a lot of angry things will come after you.Taunt...if a tank or brute hasnt got taunt and no form of pbaoe/aoe taunt then i class them as noobs.
most brutes/tanks only need 3 power pools at best- some form on travel (2 powers)-fittness set (3 powers) and fighting set (3 powers), ok in the fighting set you dont have you use box or punch or w.t ever it is, or kick just slotting it with a single acc/end or acc/stun etc IO is good enough (i got it on my brute)
Most brutes/tanks take all if not 8 out of the 9 secondary powers and normally skip 2 powers or 1 from the primary and slotting them right= awesome.
TAUNT while is optional- is highly sort by any team. the idea of a tank or brute is to tank basically, while brutes do more damage then tanks.
So heres the question really: if you got no tank in a team..but u have a brute..but you dont expect to tank with it...whos going to protect the team? the scrapper-but hes not a tank and rarely will be one. Brutes are basically the villain form of a tank.
also. ive found if you slot taunt 6 times..u get a nice 3. something defence...which is simply sexy. now i wont share my build for my fire invul or stone invul brute. but i have my very first power (the minor damage one-lvl 1) and my taunt power slotted 6 times for a nice 6+def...and ive rarely died..making me a good tanker and damage dealer in time..
Tanks are built for one thing...tanking- taking damage and giving it back over time...
brutes on the other hand can be made into two things: tank or blapper.
Tank- as above
Blapper. strong attacks-weak defence/resis
so while taunt isnt needed. any tank or brute that goes on a tf/sf is better in my books with taunt..as no-one likes a team wipe more so the squishes.
but also mainly for sure..... i'll never have you on a MO without taunt. you want pure damage..dont be the only brute/main brute as its rare to find someone who has tht perfect balance of great damage and good secondaries. (though their are sets out there that do that kind of thing).
Now, I've ran countless and countless of successful MoLRSF's with Brutes without taunt and without having a Brute all together. My Tank has taunt and my hami build for my Claws/Dark has taunt and that's about it. My normal Claws/Dark build and SS/Fire does not have taunt. But, what do I know? I guess I'm a noob. -
I'll have to try and get in on this. Never was much of a PvP'er in this game.

It was fun, thanks Llew! I'd like to try taunting hami next time if it's possible, got a build worked up solely for that.
-
Or maybe you just think the damage they put out is acceptable enough for farming, I disagree. So no, we're not doing it wrong. I actually have a Tank that's more offensive oriented (SD/Fire), but my SS/Fire blows it out of the water damage wise.
-
Yea I personally wouldn't farm with a Tank with there lackluster damage and high survivability (I mean survivability shouldn't be a problem on a farm). Can you get decent damage out of them? Of course, but it won't match a Scrapper, Brute or Blaster.
I remember a while ago someone challenging my Spines/Fire with their Fire/SS Tank, saying they could farm better than me. Needless to say I embarrassed them in the damage department and I was also more survivable (was surprised there). Although, if you must go with a Tank, SD/SS would be your best bet. -
Don't think I can make the EoE farm, but I'll be at the raid!
-
Thanks. I wouldn't think there would be a problem since this would actually make it harder especially with all the debuffs and buffed enemies.
-
Are you sure it's not Super Jump? I know that has the particle effect you're describing.
-
SS/ will definitely have more mitigation than Fire/ from Footsomp. The only advantage Fire/ has that I see is getting the most out of Fiery Embrace.
-
I usually never use Tank and farm in the same sentence. Damn I just did.
If you're looking to slaughter countless foes in a flaming rage of fury, SS/FA Brute is the way to go. -
Is a full team of 8 required to run in this event?
