  1. The SS/Fire will definitely be better than the Fire/Rad. The demon farm blue side would be an absolute breeze with the Brute.

If you choose to use an SS/Fire, either go Mu or Soul for the epic set. Mu will have better AoE capabilities overall, but you'll get that from DoT vs. Souls upfront damage and Gloom.

You can say that for pretty much anything though.

Not that the Darky doesnt perform well in the later two, but overall most people likely see that it makes more sense to IO something else and play something else.
Who said you have to only slot 1 -KB IO? You have the option to slot a bunch of them, they're not uniques, or you can still pick up Acro. The other day a matter of fact I used my Claws/Dark Brute to taunt Hami in a raid, I didn't get KB'ed once nor did I die.

Depending on how much accuracy bonuses you have and if you're running Tactics, you may not even need the single Acc enhancement, I know I didn't with my Fire/Psi. Although, it's still nice to have and I agree with everybody saying to slot it with Doctored Wounds, recharge is always good for a Dom.

    WHY dark/?

Dark Armor can be pretty awesome with some IO investment. You can manage to get near softcapped defenses with nice resists and the best self heal in the game.

For the most part DA isn't that end heavy because of the toggles, well unless you're running CoF and Death Shroud, but because DR takes 1/3 of your endurance unslotted. This is where slotting attacks for end red and the Theft of Essence proc comes in, it works wonders in DR.

There is absolutely no downtime and the only thing that limits your speed is how much +recharge you can squeeze into your build.
You can drop all of the bosses in a group before LT's? You're amazing.

Well if you're using purple sets, you'll most likely be using at least 5 slots for them and in that case I always drop the Damage enhancement in favor for the proc.

Not really. Tanks can farm, but are laughable against a good farming Scrapper or Brute. I have a SD/Fire myself and it does decent damage for a tank, but I'd pick my Scrapper or Brute over it any day.
  9. I should be able to make most raids on Saturdays if you plan to either run them weekly or semi-weekly.
  10. I have a Claws/Dark and a SS/Fire/Soul. For farming purposes I'd certainly go with the SS/Fire and build for recharge first and foremost. I'm nearly permahasten with mine and I destroy Nemesis. If you're going to primarily just farm Nemesis, I wouldn't bother building for defense. Although, I built my Spines/Fire with defense in mind and it works great against enemies that don't make defense a joke.

Now, Claws looks really good on paper, but it suffers from having a small radius in spin. To really get the most out of spin you usually have to herd them up because you will notice a huge difference between the 8' radius of Spin and 15' radius of FS. Like magikwand said, Claws is still a good set, but I would still take SS over it for farming.
  11. Archery/Kin Corrupter. FS + RoA =
  12. Very fun combination minus the redraw issues.
  13. Anyways, I had fun last night. Got nice and hammered from this.
  14. Yea I'm not sure the exact time, but to be able to get the shields down you have to be able to destroy each pylon in about 1:30 including travel time. We originally tried it with a Tank instead of the Kin/Sonic, but couldn't take a pylon down fast enough.

I'm pretty sure that has been fixed. I kept one of those missions on a toon and just checked to see if it still worked, but when I tried to enter the mission it dropped me from the arc.

As for the MM farm, it was fun while it lasted. I've already made my tens of billions of inf from it.
  16. Are you talking about which is better to gain from set bonuses? Defense all the way, slotting for resistance bonuses is terribly ineffective.
  17. Completed one earlier with a Fire/Rad Corr and Kin/Sonic Defender. It was pretty fun and easy at that. We pulled U'Kon off of the ship to get rid of most of the aggro. Some EB's followed us so we took them down first, but once we focused on U'Kon, it only took 5 minutes or so to take him down.

Just like other accomplishments, we weren't the first to do it...I'm looking at you Kahlan.

Like you said, solo is impossible since you have to take down each Pylon in 1:30 give or take to get the shields down. It is possible to duo it though. I know of a few people who have and I'm actually going to try to do it on the weekend with a buddy of mine.

If you're on say a Corrupter. -Regen and near softcapped ranged defense works best IMO. My Fire/Rad is a AV/GM killer.

Well, that statement was more meant towards just regular team mobs, a squishy should be able to handle the bit of aggro they get from them. Now, of course while fighting an AV, there's a chance they'll turn around and one shot a squishy. Taunt will certainly help alleviate that problem, but even with that, I've had Scrappers peel aggro away from my Shield Tank taunting an AV before, though that's another topic.

Although, most of the time, if I'm the only Brute on the team I don't have any problems holding an AV's aggro by just punching them.

  22. When on a bad team I kill to save the squishies.
When on a good team I kill to build fury.
When solo I kill to stop the runners.

Now, I'm not saying taunt isn't useful, but you can accomplish those things without it only with little difficulty with runners. As far as saving squishies go, if they can't handle the bit of aggro they get, they're doing it wrong and I'd rather not have them on my team in the first place. ALL of my Doms, Corrs, and Blaster have no problems with holding their own.
