I'd say Dark/Nin is up there for one of the more durable Stalkers with softcapped defense and two heals.

To be fair, they already have one, in the form of the patron power pools. Mace, and mu both give them an AoE immobilize, its just not until post level 41.

TL;DR-version - OP has a valid point. A-merits costs for PvP-IO's needs to be looked at again, they shouldn't force more PvE onto PvP-oriented players than getting a purple does.

If Blasters got an AoE immobilize they would probably become the next go to AT for farming.

Invuln should be able to tank it fine. I regularly tank the STF with my Fire/SD Scrapper with Emp support.

I got two purples the other day in two different 10 minute play sessions. Yeah, I don't think the drop rate has changed.

With all this talking I decided to run an an ITF at +4/x8 with enemies buffed and completed in about 35 minutes. It wasn't with my ideal team makeup but here's what was on the team:
Sonic/Cold Corr
Fire/Cold Corr
Ice/Kin Corr
DM/SD Scrapper
WP Scrapper
Electric Dom
Ill/Emp Troller
