  1. My first character took me over a year of casual playing to get to lvl 50, which was the longest. My quickest took under an hour to get to 50.
  2. Also, Radiant Aura is nice to have when you actually take some damage.

    SR Brute...WTF?

It's your hard hitter. Don't slot if for anything BUT a damage set. Almost as bad as slotting it with a hold set...ugh. Disgraceful.
It's not that bad and definitely viable since you have Fury and Rage. Although, if anything I'd slot it with Kinetic Crash instead of Force Feedback if you went that route since it has better set bonuses and damage enhancement. Personally, my SS/Fire has KoB slotted with Crushing Impacts.
  4. Like others said, AD doesn't root you. You just have to go through an animation just like any other click power.

No, the challenge has not been fine. Maybe for you it has, but obviously not for others.

What's so bad about adding more challenging end game content? It's not like they're ignoring everything else, just look at Going Rogue. As far as I know, one of the biggest complaints about this game throughout the MMO community is the lack of end game content. Again, why is it so bad to try and address this issue?

Removing stuff from the game and gimping yourself just to try to make the game harder gets old. Enhancements are a big part of the game I enjoy, but just to find a challenge I can't use them? I don't understand why you think our characters should get stronger, but not enemies along with us? Sounds like you won't be happy until you're able to stand still and one shot everything in the game with Brawl.

Why do you care if people solo Trapdoor? Does that come into your house and kick over your soda or something? Grow up and stop insulting people who have different preferences and different experiences from yours.
I'm not saying people can't choose to play the way they want. That's the great thing about this game is that they can do exactly that.

I never said I cared if people can solo Trapdoor either. All I'm saying is that they can and I'm confident any SO'd character could pull it off. It's not my fault some people just want to be able to brawl everything to death rather than having to actually think.
  7. If you want control on when AD and PB activates, then don't put the power on auto. I don't want them made into a toggle because then you can't stack them.

There's finally a resemblance of somewhat more challenging content and people are complaining it's too hard. I don't get why people are complaining about the new 'direction' when 99% of the game is soloable and appeals to casual gamers.
  9. Yes, you can fire off an attack while you're moving through mid air. You can also jump cancel attack animations.
  10. Decided to break out my SO'd DP/MM Blaster to try the mission out again and had no problems. To make it 'harder' I didn't use inspirations, temps, or drain psyche. Just took out the clones as soon as they spawned, why is this hard again?

  12. You can get up to 500 Vanguard Merits from 1 ship raid, but I'm with you and don't find the raids very fun to do. I don't care if people can solo the Trapdoor mission because I'm confident that any character is capable of completing it without temp powers, using the right strategy.

    No, it's mostly melee attacks.

I've been trying to understand this sbane logic for a while now. I mean there is just no way you can get any better on a Psi/EM or Stalker, right?

That may be true, but it doesn't mean the damage I was putting out was very high by any means. The clones are easy and can be taken out quickly to stop the regen buffs.

The attack chain I used was Blazing Arrow > Snap Shot > Snap Shot. Being generous and calculating this chain with no gaps yields about 80 DPS and 96 DPS for the duration of Aim, which again I wouldn't categorize as 'uber' ST damage. Now, this is without factoring in Scourge, which really doesn't need to be factored in since if you can get Trapdoor below 50% in the first place, you could take him out without Scourge.

The point I'm trying to make is if the build isn't completely terrible, anybody should be able to take Trapdoor down solo, especially by using inspirations and pulling him into the lava.
  16. Comparing soloing AV's and Trapdoor is completely different. I'm confident that pretty much any build can solo Trapdoor without temp powers.

I just completed the arc on my Arch/Kin Corr, and yes he's a little harder than before and I actually had to take out his clones for the first time. However, I still didn't find it 'hard' like people are saying. This was with just spamming Blazing Arrow and Snap Shot while ignoring my kin powers so I didn't have to deal with redraw. Archery isn't exactly known for its uber ST damage.

But no, that's not what this is. This guy is roughly a typical EB in terms of power (when there are players, ATs and combos who that is already a tall order for) with the added hassle of the bifurcation schtick. I'm not down with that at all.
You're not down for a semi-challenging encounter, but you're down for an encounter that doesn't involve fighting at all?

    Solo Dom Ideas

The only set I'd really only go all ranged with is /Fire, even then I'd miss Incinerate.

Granted, his ranged attacks do a lot less damage, have a much lower chance to stun, and as you have to locate clones anyways, its much better to keep him at range whenever possible.
Oh yeah, I didn't consider that. However, melee attacks usually do more damage, so if you're on a character who doesn't have melee attacks, there's no need to be in melee range. I'm hearing Blasters and Defenders getting hit by Total Focus when all you need to do is kite to avoid it, which isn't very difficult to do. Also, you could use a raptor pack or something to hover above him to make sure to avoid it since he's not able to fly to my knowledge.

Purples are very useful and saying otherwise is just stupid, I'm sorry you had a bad encounter with the RNG. Next time you're on a squishy, just maybe don't go into melee range? That way you won't get one shotted, even though it's impossible to get one shotted.

Forced to get temp powers? No, if you need to use temp powers you either have a bad build or you are just bad, that's all there is to it.
  22. Yep, I've been running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit since release and haven't had any issues running the game.
  23. So, somebody I know has already duo'd the Apex TF in just over an hour and I'm sure the same can be done with Tin Mage. Yeah, I don't think they're too hard.

Likewise the developers are trying to make a hard challenge for the players, but in doing so they have given the NPCs and the encounters an advantage that players can't counter.

An example in the Tin Mage TF are the invisible and intangible mine layers that continue to lay proximity bombs away from the AV, even if the AV is held or controlled. The mine layers are supposed to represent the AV tossing mines around. If that were the case, then the mine layers need to stop throwing mines away from the Director and stop while he is incapable of launching any attack.

Having one set of rules for the NPCs and another for the players is cheating.
The issue with Rularuu was a bug and has since been fixed. However, Apex and Tin Mage are working like intended, so no, they're not cheating. Please stop with that idiotic notion.

If you're looking in the combat attributes, you won't notice any changes. Check out the enhancement screen to see the changed enhancement values.
