Why run Keyes? Because it's funner than the other 2 trials.
-
The buff changes will make a lot of people happy. Me, not sure about it yet, I still want to be able to stack them!
Now I wonder if people will complain about the difficulty of Keyes. Probably not to the degree of the other trials since everybody has incarnate powers. Although, I'm looking forward to it, I like Keyes the best. -
Soul Mastery. You can still be a farming monster with it if that's your thing.
-
Incarnate powers had the impact I thought they would on the regular game.

Quote:I said it before, but being able to transfer characters over to a new game is a terrible idea and I guarantee it will not happen. There is no reason you couldn't transfer existing characters over to their closest equivalent in the new system, or just transfer levels over if the two systems are too widely divergent.
You're basically just saying, "I played their previous game so I should be able to start at the level cap even if the games are completely different, there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to." -
Quote:I don't see the point of transferring characters over to a completely new game, it doesn't make sense. Your character would be completely different since you won't have the same powers and won't be the same AT, and heck there might not even be AT's.As a long time player of City of Heroes, there is one precious few demand I have if City of Heroes 2 is being made:
Let us keep our City of Heroes characters and their badges and transfer them to the new game.
I don't care if it requires a cosmic reboot where my characters awaken in a new world without any of his powers or experience points and has to level up from 1 again, but I don't like the idea of having to rebuild and replay two characters I've spent nearly 2000 hours on each.
Give us a menu in-game for "Legacy" badges or "Previous Issue" badges that shows what we've earned in CoH 1. Let us carry over some of the veteran rewards and accolades.
Then I'll be happy. If not, I'll just stick with CoH 1 until the servers go down.
Badges is the same thing, what's the point of transferring over things that don't exist or IMO shouldn't exist. You said you wouldn't care about starting from lvl 1 again with a transferred character. That's the same thing as creating a new character with the same name.
I for one welcome a CoH2 or whatever it will be called. They can only push this game so far, I mean it's running on what a 10 year old engine? This also gives them the chance to do some game mechanics right from the start. I really hope they implement a fun, well-balanced PvP system in the beginning. A super hero universe is the perfect setting for PvP and they can do so many things with it. -
I agree with this, I didn't get emails for a while until I updated my information.

Quote:They can only do so much. It's not their fault if people miss announcements by simply not reading announcements that are on the launcher before they start the game. You know, people still seem to be missing my point. Someone (or some group) in Marketing have the job of getting the word out about these things. They failed. Putting it on the customers is irrelevant. Someone at the company failed in their job.
People are simply complaining they missed an announcement because they didn't read the announcements.
However, I do think they should have added it to the gmotd. -
I guess Vengeance is more for when you're PL'ing someone. It's by no means necessary.

Quote:If people missed the sale after it was announced in the updater, emails, and on the forums/website then I think it's fair to call them lazy. You keep putting the failure on the customer. This is wrong. When a company runs specials, promotions, sales, etc, their GOAL is to ATTRACT ATTENTION. If they are not doing that, then they have FAILED.
If you're running a special and try to get word out to your customers, and most of them don't hear about it, then YOU HAVE FAILED. Call the customers lazy if you like but the COMPANY has FAILED in their goal. Rationalize it all you want, but the bottom line is that the sales/marketing department blew it. -
Would be nice if they offered free transfers more often, even if it was for only 1 slot.

The correct definition for a high-end team is 7 Fire Corruptors and one lolmelee.

Quote:It's enough recharge, one of my Dom's had 122.5% which was JUST enough. One thing I'm not sure about is whether 123% recharge is enough for permadom without Hasten. I'm pretty sure 125% is the threshold. With 123%, Dom is recharging in 89.39s, the activation time on Domination is 1.32s so that's a total 90.71s cycle time.
As far as the build goes, I tried messing around with it, but didn't see anything to really improve on given what you wanted to do with it. -
Why is wanting the option of private leagues so unreasonable? Some people only want to play with their friends, what's so bad about that?
-
Quote:You cheated and used Reactive Interface so it doesn't count!Congrats on the Solo!
That being said.... for all the Nay Sayers out there, check the news at 12! (Since a few people might have been hinting at it being impossible without pets.)

(Yes its a very boring 12 minutes 51 seconds)
But for real, that's impressive Lib. Makes me respect Tanks a little bit now. -
Stop talking to yourself.

If the new zone is co-op, they should make villain and hero specific arcs rather than everyone doing the same arcs, regardless of alignment. They can also implement the side switching mechanic to make things more interesting. Say if a hero wants to join a villain mission, it can essentially count as completing a tip mission.
-
Well, you only have to do one patron arc to unlock all of them and I'm sure you can have different sets on the separate builds.
As far as which to pick, I would definitely go Mace Mastery for softcapped S/L/E defense. -
-
Corruptor team and its rain of colors.
-
Nice job! Still need to try and do this myself with a friend, it wasn't possible until the latest patch.
-
You see a lot of regens in zone because they're easy to play and by easy to play, I mean easy to not die on. Also, a lot of the population prefer melee characters for whatever reason.
And no, a team of Psi/EM's and regens would not roll in an 8v8, it's funny you would even consider having a Scrapper in an 8v8.
As far as having Phase and Hibe, it's alright for zone play but far from necessary. To get both on a blaster, you'd miss out on a resistance shield. I do fine with my Psi/EM/Cold in zone and rarely get AS'ed after getting out of Hibe (just break LoS). Also, the placate proc is really only useful in 1v1's, for everything else it's kind of pointless. -
Has anyone tried soloing a pylon since the latest patch? I'm curious to see how fast a Fire/Cold can do it now.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. -
I really don't know what the devs were thinking with changing reactive.
