Please, send all escort NPCs here!!]
I'd also like to know why my stealth powers work SO MUCH BETTER for escort NPCs than they do for bad guys.... :P -
I used to have the same problem in the "white maps" - longbow and Praetorian lab. Terrible framerate, hitching, skill lag, I basically couldn't play any mission on those maps. Turning off my sound helped a little, but it didn't get better until I upgraded to a Radeon 5770 video card. Something about those white maps really eats up video memory and is hard to process, I have no idea why.

Quote:I actually don't believe that...The drop rate in and outside of TFs is exactly the same. The only difference is that on a TF you're usually with a team of 8 so you fight a lot more enemies at a faster pace.
With my regen scrapper doing Tips and Oro arcs at +1/x5, I got zero shards in 16 missions.
Taking my DDD on one ITF, I got 8.
Granted, I have wretched, wretched drop luck, but I'm still not getting any drops soloing, even wading into big crowed and killing everything. -
I did an LGTF tonight and one of my SGmates got 11 shards... I got 2! *cries* OMG I must be the unworthy one!! NOOOOOOOOOO

Had this happen to me four times today, I think it must have been bugged back in with i19! Nooooo! My least-favorite bug!!
For those who don't know: sometimes when you zone all your toggles drop. It's minor, but dreadfully annoying. Especially if you're zoning into someplace under attack by rikti and suddenly have no defenses at all and your travel power is unexpectedly off when you try to get away... -

As long as there was a tanker or brute on the team actively holding aggro with aura/attacks and a judicious use of taunt, RoF shouldn't have made a difference, as long as you were waiting until after the tank had everything bunched up on him.
I've got characters with RoF and FR, and as long as you use it after the tank's in the vicinity of the mobs, they will usually stay with the tank in preference to running around.
If you were using it before whoever was supposed to be tanking had a grip on things, then yeah, I can see getting annoyed with you and kicking you... IF you didn't stop when they asked. If they didn't even ask you to stop it first, or tell you when they'd rather you used it, they're dumb.
Of course, they might have been assuming you're an AEbaby if you didn't know how your own powers worked. *shrug* -

Quote:What about those of us who PL to 22 because we hate the early levels and STILL love Praetoria and handled it just fine?Nah, I think it's more likely that they are the same ones that PL to level 20 skipping all the low level content, then complained about the supposed difficulty of Praetoria.
Praetoria reminded me what it was like when I first started playing, I love it.Life is not binary. I don't think I've rolled a new character since GR came out except my spider who didn't go through Praetoria.

Quote:Yeah, just kited them around killing them with the Nem staff, lol. It took forever, but it wasn't hard. Just running in circles got a bit old though. When I'd regen back to full I'd wade in and kick a few to death before resuming my circles.Urghhh....Not forggeting the fact their 'Brawl' does mid damage, very fast, with stupidly high acc for a 'weakened' punch. Oh, and seemingly uncaring of my Scrappers SR defences at the time.
I ended up kiting them with Repulsing Torrent for a good long time. I wouldn't have minded if they didn't all Auto aggro on me.
Still beat it, cheaty AI aside. -
Sadly, it's my Warshade.
I loved shapeshifting hybrids in other games, but the sludgy shapeshifting control, the fact we have to make our own macros to get our toolbars to flip with our forms, and the fact my favorite form is made of paper just make playing her terribly painful unless I'm on a big team. It's so sad. -
It really hasn't changed my playstyle at all. I continue to play whichever character I feel like playing at the moment, whether that be a lowbie enjoying the sweet, sweet fruit of inherent stamina, or running a TF if someone in my SG is putting one together.
Getting all excited about the grind is the fastest way to burn out on it. I'm just gonna keep enjoying my characters and let the rest fall where it may

I really can't think, after reading the OP, that the poster has ever played endgame content in any other MMO...
Raiding the same "instance" over and over again and hoping for your drop is kinda the whole point of the way "end game" has worked in almost every MMO ever. That's how they keep you on the treadmill until they can whip up a new "instance" where you will run through over and over and hope your +2 carrot drops to replace the +1 carrot you worked so hard to get the RNG to give you in the last set. -
Just to say, while I /bugged the crap out of the mission while it was bugged because it kept spawning 3-5 waves instantly and on top of my location, I do think the waves are way too slow now. They didn't need to make it 3 minutes between waves when they fixed it insta-gibbing people :P

Quote:Errr, yes, you can do everything solo. You can solo the incarnate arc and then run level 50 missions for shard drops. You don't need a team.I thought the idea behind this game was that teaming was optional and that everything could be acquired solo.
Now with this release I can't progress my 50's unless I do TFS, do the devs realise how hard it is to get a team together on some servers outside the US ?!
The time zone difference kills us. I am afraid if this doesn't change then this is the end of my 6 year run with this game.
:-(
And right now, everyone in the world is spamming crazy for teams, step into the RWZ and you'll get blown away with invites. -

I haven't updated Mids since Leandro's early pirate Fitness patch, since I just HAD to rebuild ALL my characters IMMEDIATELY upon hearing that it was going inherent.
Downloaded the new mids, it updated my previous version and opens all my characters. I do have to go in and re-place their inherent fitness slots, since it didn't read them from Leandro's patch, but that's no big.
Thank you so much!<3

If you have enough DPS, you can just stand on him and beat him down while ignoring the bifurcations entirely.
I've also heard you can pull him down the hall. The clones will continue to spawn on the catwalk and won't affect him. -
Quote:Totally agree. I too apparently misunderstood that note in the issue announcementAgain I think it's cool we have new Tip missions that let Vigilantes "act" like Vigilantes (and Rogues act like Rogues) as tourists. I just think if I want my tourist Vigilante to act like a Vigilante I should be able to specifically CHOOSE that kind of mission and get Vigilante credit for it. It's the lack of player choice that's the real problem here.
What a bummer!

Quote:Bugged. The mission was bugged. The ambushes were not behaving properly for everyone. Bugged. If the players thought the mission was too difficult then they should LOWER their difficulty setting. DUH! I never found that mission to be too difficult.
I don't know why that's so difficult for people to understand. -
Quote:Actually, they did. That's why it was bugged. They don't. Or rather, they didn't.
What's the bind for targeting a specific enemy? I'm using "targetcustomnext sapper," but that also targets dead ones. Is there one that only targets live ones?
I did that mission multiple times and repeatedly the ambushes would all spawn DIRECTLY ON TOP OF MY LOCATION (not down the hall or around a corner) in multiple waves, one after the other.
I use "target_enemy_next$$target_custom_next enemy alive quantum" on my tab key when I'm playing my Warshade that would probably work for Sappers too. -
