As for costume contests, filling their recipe inventory with level 50 generic IO recipes they can vendor should be a pretty good reward. If you can't use the AH, you really don't need that much influence. -

It's interesting that you're willing to think far enough outside the box to want a whip set for ATs other than Mastermind, but not to go so far as to entertain the possibility of the various specialized ammo types - which is really all they are - from Trick Arrow being available to non-archers. Particularly since both are entirely sensible notions, and the latter requires quite a bit less cooking.
Also, there's a difference between asking for power proliferation (if I WAS asking for an "MM whip set" to be ported to other ATs) without thinking it's ok to re-animate Trick Arrow so you can use all the powers while holding guns. We HAVE several gun sets. We have ONE archery set. If you want to use guns, use those. -

Fantasy totally fits in this game. Read a few comics and check out a few of the other characters on your server.
That being said, I'm against this. Emphatically.
What we do NOT need is another MM set with larger-than-human pets cramming themselves into narrow hallways and door. And no doubt, screaming obnoxiously and setting out fire effects at random.
Roll a demon MM and be content :P -

IF it came out, I'd expect it (obviously) post-Freedom, and as a "premium" (IE, everyone pays, including VIP) power set, just due to the work we've been told would be involved.
And I agree it would probably end up being a Dom-style "assault" set, and I am totally fine with that too. -
Frankly, I'd just like the option to have the appearance lock into the pet once I've named him. I don't know if it affects anyone besides Thugs, but it's very disconcerting when Billy Blaze goes from being a redhead to a black guy when I zone :P
Also, why can't controllers/doms at least NAME our pets? I understand we can't control them, but can we at least give them names please? -
Yup, I'm gonna throw it out here in the suggestion forum.
Much like Dual Pistols was put together for all the people who really wanted a 2-gun mojo powerset when the only place it appeared was the thugs MM set, some of us really want the whip powers from Demon Summoning and don't want the demons.
Liberate the whip! -

I've done it. I've got a petless Demon MM/Thermal, yes, for the whip attacks and because I CANNOT STAND the demon pets. I hate them sooo much, but I love the whip attacks, so there I am.
Her build is actually pretty good, she's mostly softcapped for defense, and she does decent damage. I play her in a trio with my husband and be friend, and I don't feel particularly gimped, though I realize I'm stretching the concept past the AT.
If that earlier post about whip assault going in the Paragon store is ACTUALLY true, I will reroll her in a HEARTBEAT. Like I said, I didn't really want an MM, let alone a demon MM (for some reason, the AT does not click with me at all) but I love the look of the whip and I've got the luxury of being able to roll one and play with friends who won't hassle me about it. -

Got my WA/SD brute from 36 to 44, so I could solve her awful End problems with my epic pool.
Got my Earth/Rad troller from 24 to 29. Almost 30, dang it!
Altogether, very pleased!
