So can we please have some insight as to why level-pacting was removed from the headstart without any kind of warning?

Nothing 'happened' when the cavern 'collapsed'. No damage. No awesome rock falling animation. Just a mission kick.
Part of second map (Stop the Igneous from stealing the Obelisk) has unavailable map parts.
Upon entering the missions, they don't auto-load; you have to click Enter Game. I suppose it's so we can see the awesome art. Hate that! Too many times I sat there and started to wonder why it wasn't loading. ARGH! Get rid of that, please.
The bonus merits is actually 10x normal merits, not 5x.

So the first time you pick a thread. Then the second time, you pick a thread. Third time, threads are no longer available - you gotta pick something else (let's say an Alignment Merit.) Fourth time, Alignment Merits and Threads are greyed out. They stay greyed out for 7 days before resetting. -

No, it doesn't. See that little triangle bump to the left of the corner of the corset, right in the middle of the breast? That's the Barbarian top. Look at it from less of a lowered angle and it's extremely obvious.

Whatever they are doing, I hope they can preserve/restore this accidental feature of allowing different items (floor tiles, banners, glass panels, etc) to have different emblems and SG colors.
And yes, I'm one of those who is dreading the "base fix" because when the devs update something, they usually destroy it and rebuild it. Whether they "improve" it is a matter of opinion. But I know that the 100s of hours my friend and I have put into our bases will be destroyed, and who knows if we'll like what they replace it with.
I wish they'd just un-PvP-ize all the defense pieces and then leave it alone. -
There seems to be a bug with the Atlas Park SG portal. It doesn't give the day job symbol on the health bar, and you don't seem to accumulate day job credit for being there.

Is the new "black paperdoll" effect for dual pistols/dimensional shift intentional?
If so, allow me to register my dislikeI really liked the pale/blur effect. The black plastic person echo is super creeeeepy.

Any word on the logout bug, Zwill? Every time I come to the forums, I'm logged out, like many others in this thread. It makes it very hard to follow what is or is not new.

I feel like the answer should be yes, but then again I've level through the sub-22 levels SO QUICKLY with my last 12 characters or so, I don't even bother to slot anything until then. So I can't personally find any use for the stupid things, but I don't know if true newbs still do.

Although, considering how vociferous the OP has been in the past on the issue of unique naming in this game, the irony here is palpable.
No matter how creative you are or how many thesauruses you open, sometimes that one perfect name is simply taken. Probably by another Orson Scott Card fan. -
I think it's the same old forum logout bug we've been dealing with for years, but like cranked up to 11. SUPER annoying.

Some of us are waiting for enough transfer tokens to build up to shift our characters and don't want to lose our names in the meantime.
My partner and I lost the names of our mains in the first few minutes the server was open :-/ -
Hopefully it's because the set's being retooled to give female characters the chaps/dusters too, and not just the saloon girl look!

The dev team does have this habit of, when it DOES change things, doing it in a manner that sort of sweeps all before it. Like the original CoT "upgrade."
The bases we have now are actually pretty good. I'd be happy if they just moved all the defense items into decorative so we could use as many as we want wherever we want (since they've pretty much said base raids aren't even on the radar) and then leave it alone.
Lots of us have built really elaborate bases with the stacking tricks and throwing lights together to make stairs, pushing cabinets together to make a piano, using desks for floors, etc.
I'm desperately afraid they're going to "fix" bases and I'm going to walk into a base I've poured hundreds of hours in to see a jumble of desks and stuff strewn all over the place because when they put in actual floor/stair parts, they remove the ability to stack or whatnot. -
I think (HOPE!!) we're going to see a lot more zone revamps now. They have a LOT of new high-rez art assets now, between Atlas and Praetoria, they won't have to completely rebuild it all from scratch.

Actually the forum logout bug has gotten markedly WORSE for me in all this >.<
Luckily, my new "changed" password is still getting me back in.
