Seems that way for me, too, which makes me very confused.
If we're supposed to get them a the END of our sub period, I should have got one on the 5th for September, right? Because I didn't get one in September... and then I should get my October one on November 5th.
This system is really wonky. Not to mention broken, but even if it was working right it would kinda suck. -
My biggest problem with the incarnate trials is that it doesn't *feel* like we're "advancing our characters past 50." It feels like we're grinding for loot - which we are. But putting all the rewards at the very end, and having no visual indicator that we're advancing is taking all the psychological 'training' the game's given us for the last 50 levels and tossing it out the window.
I would really *like* to see an ixp bar for the relevant slots when I zone into a trial. I would really *like* to see the level-up (ding!) graphic when we unlock a slot. I would really like to see occasional drops of common/uncommon i-salvage while you kill things in a trial (which would have the bonus of helping to encourage actual clearing rather than just zerging the objective.)
I think those things would really help me feel like I'm actually advancing my character, even if it doesn't change all that much. Otherwise, I feel like I'm just at the market trying to slap together one last IO for my set and waiting for my bids to fill :P -

Experiment 9 is a normal part of the run.
I think the devs may have misspoken. There's a BOSS that you can spawn by doing a little easter-eggy series of things before going into the house itself, but he wasn't an EB. -
Quote:The people that do this don't care about what they skip. They are only concerned about endgame. They can't understand that this game isn't all about the endgame. In their minds they can't enjoy a game unless they are all powerful.
I say let them have at it. The sooner they realize this isn't the type of game they like the sooner they'll leave. Don't force them to be miserable. Then they'll only hang around complaining and scaring away players that would like the game.Quote:Hi Forbin. I've been here since June of 2004. Both of my accounts are paid up until deep into 2012. I'm not going anywhere, and I tend to use the trial to get to at least 22 (Talos/Sharkhead range) since I pretty much hate the levels prior to that. But on a few occasions, I've taken characters into the 30s. I've also done the CEBR thing once. I tried it, it was cool but then I went back to doing whatever I had been doing before. Basically what I'm saying is, your brush is too broad.
It's possible to do the trial to 50 but it'll slow to a crawl starting at around 38 or so. When I say 'slow to a crawl', I mean like half a bar (probably far less) per run, if my projections are anywhere near the mark.
I got my newest Dom to 20 doing DFB while standing in the First Ward. Then I did the First Ward. That was the content I was interested in with this character, and that was what I did. While I agree it's a bad thing that freebies have unlimited access to DFB, I think it's a boon for vets. "It's the journey, not the destination" - well, that's fine and I agree. But it's not YOUR job to decide where my journey starts and where my destination lies. -
So how do we get the wolf pet? Anyone know?

Quote:Yeah, if it's not, this is a pretty sore disappointment. I really need that emote on my staff character, who of course is not yet rolled and won't be before the event is over, unless they're planning on releasing Staff before TMI am at work and was just curious.
So its confirmed its per character not Account unlocked? -
*sighs* Well, I bought the pack. I don't think I'll ever use 90% of it, but apparently if you buy any individual piece, you can never go back and buy the pack at pack-price again. So I hedged my bets in order to put a cravat on my new dominator.
I'm not happy about it though :P -
Quote:I didn't have a problem with him on any character except my elec/elec dom. For some reason, she got her butt kicked. Repeatedly. I died 3 times whittling down the minions, then twice more killing Zealous One. With full trays of purples I was gulping down. It was soooo frustrating. The final elite boss didn't strike me as anything special, really. All it took was a medium purple I'd gotten dropped off a level 30 something and a couple of healing inspirations. Granted, I was on a Scrapper, but it's hardly the sturdiest or best Scrapper out there.

It occurs to me I've never put this in the proper forum, even though I've posted about it everywhere else, so here goes.
The female beast pack heads are bugged and have been since release.
They attach too low and therefore appear very small, significantly shorter than normal female heads. This makes them almost impossible to use, as one tends to want a broad, muscular body with a beast head, but you look like a pinhead.
This pack has been out since FEBRUARY, the bug's been acknowledged, but not fixed and never listed in the "known issues" that are slated for a fix. This is a paid set, and deserves fixing. -
Quote:This. No longer am I tempted to join a friend on SSA's on newer characters because I don't want to 'waste' that First Time Completion Reward Table on 20 Merits.
No longer do I want to run the first arc in the level range it appears due to getting penalized on my choice of rewards.
No longer do I want to run SSA arcs at all, because I know if I don't do all the leg work of getting to 20, getting tips (which sometimes just do not drop at all for a while) and keeping track on which characters I've affirmed hero status on.
I already don't really run my Rogue and Vigilantes through them due to the lack of reward choice. Now I'm going to run them even less, and team less with friends running them.
I feel sorry for anyone who's wasted 400pp on them. They're nothing that special, and now they're even less so, with an added dollop of hassle.
I've got a character literally sitting on her Morality Mission from last night. She was going to get her second AM and buy an IO I needed, but my friend wanted to go to bed so I put off running it until today.
If I run that mission and end up with 50 RMs instead, that's not okay. That means I now have to pay 20m to turn that into an AM, when only a few hours ago, I didn't. I fail to see how ANYONE can say "Oh, this is no big deal, no problem." 20m may not be much to everyone, but to some people it is, and it's utterly not-ok for us to be reset in this way, to prevent someone exploiting a reward system THEY put in.
I'm not cool with them making you need to be 20+ to get the AMs from the first SSA, for that matter. I loved running that thing with my new level 10s and having a pair of AMs banked for when they hit 25 and I started slotting them up with IOs, as well as getting a chunk of xp. Having to get them to 20, get 10 tips and a MM over 2 days, and THEN be able to get the rewards? When I'm actually now OVER the level of the stupid thing? Why make it a level 20 TF at that point? And why make that popup still show up at level 10 when we've been cheated out of the best reward? -
The crow cce isn't a global unlock? :|

Bump.
We really really need a timer for this. Just something in the Tips tab showing us when we can run these again for reward would be great. -
Not to mention the females heads are all STILL BUGGED and have no fix scheduled, how about if we get that done first?
Also: antlers. -
Well, I fought him yesterday and he still had friends.
-
Well, the good thing is that the set hasn't been "in the wild" very long, so it'll probably get fixed.
Unlike other costume pieces that have been out since February and they never even intend to fix the acknowledged bugs in them. -
And will continue to do so, unless they write him out of all the tip missions.

Quote:Why exactly is this the case? Stamina, hurdle and swift are "auto powers." Fulcrum shift is not. It is a short-term and re-applied active buff.If you have auto powers turned off in the team window, you will not see the FS buff icons. Try right clicking a buff in the team window and make sure the display of auto powers is not disabled. This feature is also in the options towards the bottom of the General tab.
Fine, we can change the topic to "Fulcrum Shift buffs showing under autopowers when they are NOT, please fix this."
Ridiculous. If I leave autopowers on, the team buffs stretch halfway across the screen, depending on my teammates powers. Adding FS buffs on top of that? No way.
There's NO REASON these should show up as autopowers. -
Quote:They still haven't fixed the female beast head packs, and David's acknowledged they probably never will. That's really damaged my confidence in paying money for stuff I know is already bugged, you know? Two quick points:
1) As far back as I recall there have been a few release bugs associated with just about every costume pack this game has ever released. No suggesting that's a "good" thing per se but the Dev have always been relative good at getting a majority of those bugs fixed in short order so I wouldn't necessarily hold off a purchase for that account. -
Quote:Yeah, I'll probably pick up 3-4 pieces, but I just can't see picking up the entire pack when I know I have no character to go with them and likely never will.I think some of those bugs you mentioned are fixed on Test? If you like them, you should get them before they're gone! At least you'll be able to verify the fixes when the Halloween patch goes Live to make a reassessment then.
There's definitely some additional things that need adjustment (imo) but the blatant bugs are soon to be fixed.
