I still play my first 50 everyday even though i dinged 18 months ago (i started 21 months ago). Seems like the first one is always special

For those not smart enough to figure it out, I deliberately provoked people to see who is naughty and who is nice....i now have several messages from people who did not post that were ALL nice. I have a list of the smart ones who i will help upon request and a list of people who are obviously not worth teaming with!

Ok, I will try to make this clear for everyone..........

I do not like to keep repeating myself, such as i answered Tyger and Laxx in about my second post, and i do not answer to insults (AGAIN i am repeating myself).

Several people have actually read what i wrote and sent me a simple request for the Rommy Quiz and i have answered them......IT IS THAT SIMPLE!

If you listen to the other posters if a new person were to start a mission or TF and team members left, the team and that new person would be unable to finish it, especially if the difficulty level were to high.

My advice allows them to find out more about the game, ENHANCEMENTS, TEMPORARY POWERS, ACCOLADES, INSPIRATIONS, balancing difficulty to match your teams ability, coming back to a mission when you are more on par with the level of the bad guys from the mission, find friends and how to enjoy more of the games content.

Most of the posters merely talked about enhancements and at a low level to a new person this will not really help them. Even at mid-level enhancements will not help as it is easy to go to fast and end up with missions that are too difficult. With some builds Psi/Emp for example all the other advice given would not help. My advice will allow them to go up in level and enjoy the missions without even enhancing.

The point is to help new people and the OP, flooding this thread with non-sense (which i expect you will do anyways) is not helpful.

AGAIN i recommend new people read the PLAYERS GUIDE section of the forums for help and advice! Eldandil wrote a wonderful guide that gives a full description of things to do in each level range to find almost all the content in the game. I recommend this for new and vets alike.

If you really want to learn more about the game and have fun with a large group of people AND you are a good TEAM player......come to champion even at level 1 and contact me or ANY member of the sg ALL-OUT-WAR and we will assist you. Being in the sg will make your life alot easier but it is not mandatory for us to help you. AOW is a true community oriented sg.

Other great helpful sg's are Stoned Templars , The Grey Coven, United Heroes Brigade, Hammers of Justice, We B Heroes, Track of Death and Life of Glory. There are always good people on.
If your into PvP contact Protectors of Neverland, Pingu Coalition, L.E.S., or Renassaince De La Veritas.

Again you guys have said nothing insightful, go back and reread my past posts carefully.

I said Rommy can be done in 60 seconds, since he rezzes you have to defeat him 4 times.....so divide 60 by 4 you get 15 seconds to kill him the first time (not all 4 times).

I am one of dozens if not hundreds of players who know how to do this. Just because you dont and no one on the forums wants to share it with you (mainly because they have not seen this thread) does not mean it cant be done.

Sonic is an IDIOT....he solo's or stays with his private little group of friends in Templars of Steel sg. Being on my server he should know by now that all he has to do is ask any member of Stoned Templars, The Grey Coven, or ALL-OUT-WAR (that by itself shows over 100 heroes already know this tactic) POLITELY he would already have the answer! Just for the record, if you guys would actually read the WHOLE post, you would have known i already announced how to do it on another thread!

From the speed his (ToS) sg does ITF (i have heard they have the fastest time at 23 minutes) am shocked he doesnt realize his group already probably employs this method and if his teammates were to drop out he could probably solo it.

As for waving my hands mystically in the air....i am sorry for actually forcing you to think! Again if the posters would have asked nicely in the first place i would have given the answer right away!

Now for the important part: For the OP and new players, my best advice is to take time to meet new people and team, learn your character by taking all the powers and trying them out, you can respec out what doesnt work for you later.

There are resources to do research, some of the best is paragonwiki.com and in the forums check out the PLAYER GUIDES.
The best guide i have seen, even though it is old is...i10 Fire/Storm Controller Guide by Eldandil.
There are a few minor changes such as the Abandoned Sewer Network Trial contact has been moved to Atlas Sewer Entrance. The guide is a great way to see what is in the game and what you can do at each level.

Hmmmm, i was rereading some of the posts and i think my origional point got lost. I was merely trying to point out if you are having a problem with a mission, streetsweep opponents your level or come back to the mission after you level up making it that much easier. Getting enhancements do help alot but there are other ways to make your rise easier. Also getting friends (other heroes to help makes it easier and fun).

If you read the past posts you can see why i do not just come out and give answers - "Sonic - Just....no" is a perfect example! I have repeatedly said if you ask nicely i will share, i am teaching you something, if you dont get it, too bad!

MTS and Sardan (you 2 seem smart enough to figure out the Rommy quiz) the Epic power you are looking for is called POWER BOOST under the Power set.

To give new players an idea of what to look for i posed the BLACKSTAR question so the following answer will help give them ideas on how to improve their play as the go up in levels and later when they hit 50 they will realize there is still lots to learn and do.

First use all your resources from the game (do not let these heathens talk you into using your Primary and Secondary powers only).
There are Temporary Powers and ACCOLADES (badges that give you bonuses, look these up at paragonwiki.com and badgehunters.com).
First i have slotted a full set of Eradication ENHANCEMENTS (earned from missions, trading, or bought at Wentworth's in Atlas) this gives me a base Blast of 365.5

Before i attack i hit all my ACCOLADES (others say this is a dumb idea but Vanguard Accolade gives extra bonuses to the secondary effects of powers). I then hit POWER BOOST (Epic Power) which ups my base to 657.9 so now i just pop 2 tier 1 Red INSPIRATIONS and 2 tier 1 Yellow (for accuracy, this step is not necessary), and you are way above the cap 822 but you max out at 704.8.

Hope someone learns from this excercise that if you do missions, plan ahead, and use teamwork (make helpful friends) you can get what you need fast and enjoy the game more.

If your still having a problem with the Rommy Quiz, ask yourself the simple question.....What things do i need that i can acquire to overcome Rommy in 15 seconds.
Blackhole his nictus sounds good to stop his heals but he will knock you out in retailiation if your not careful, and yes you can blackhole him too but then you cant defeat him in 15 seconds, same with Phase Shift. Nukes and Shivans, waayyy to slow. Nuke does 25% damage but with 30% dam. resistance from Tarpatch can certainly help (no i did not do this but it sounds good to use a nuke).

This is a nice thread, i will be taking my dark defender and getting light purple (mauve) mists Shadow Fall. That would be so cool to have purple tentacles and other effects.

Lol, i agree with you Claws, i have my warshade and enjoy some time in squid form just flying around high in the air blasting everything below, it can be a stress releaver sometimes.

As for Sonic.....AGAIN......If you enter ITF with 8 ppl and 7 drop out and you finish it.....YOU ARE STILL SOLO'ing IT! As a squishy using inspirations, and temp powers is a must! So why are you insisting that a person is not solo'ing if you use anything but the primary and secondary powers, that makes absolutely no sense. SOLO means just that....Your character against the opponent. Use all your available resources to do it otherwise it is a waste.

No matter how much you know there is always more to learn. To prove this point and show your lack of game knowledge here is a simple question (and before you say impossible again, tomorrow i will give you the answer).........How do you set off a 704.8 pt. BLACKSTAR!

Having knowledge of the game makes it easier. the OP does not suck, he just needs time to learn the game and what is possible.

What was Hami like when it first came out? Abandoned Sewer Network? Rikti Warzone? Hollows? Items Of Power Trial? I bet we missed alot that we take for granted. It could not have been easy having to run to all the zones! What was the game really like when it first came out?

BTW Dark Defenders are well known for taking out AV's because we have a good mix of lockdown, heal, debuff, and damage. I am not special, i just took the time to figure out how to do things.

Anyone on Champion knows i am a level 50 dark defender.

Felecia Divine is on 2-4 hours per day negotiating peace between 7 divisions, base renovating, making sure the members find teams and starting one if people need one, doing TF's, hosting RWZ Raids, helping on sunday with Hami-Raids once in awhile (kudos to Amygdala for hosting these), PvPing (rarely since i have better things to do), hosting a Monthly CC as well as helping other small CC's. Then there is using the MA system to create fantastic stories (i love this system).

If you are self absorbed, then yes there is nothing here for you... do your farm, get your 50 and leave, you will not be missed! If you want to actually get involved with the community, there is tons of stuff to do at level 50.

Start promoting your favorite aspect of the game and get others involved, the game like anything else in life is what you make of it!

There are lots of powers and characters to explore and different opponents, there is no lack of content.

I made my story a Trilogy, that fixed the problem. I also did a story with 16 custom characters and found it too crowded, less is more sometimes.
So there is no confusion i list in the story description all 3 in the arc, this is also a good way to advertise all your stories at once. At the end of each story i have.....To Be Continued......In (Name of Story, ID #).

I would love to have more space but we can make do, maybe later on they will increase story size as demand for it goes up. We can buy extra story slots, i am going to look for this, i write lots and lots of good stuff. 3 Story lines is not enough

PS get 4 lvl 50's and 4 sk's set on Tenacious and try Illicit Affair (ID 39278) then move onto Dragon The Destroyer (ID 184844) then to The Forging Of An Empire (ID 239837). Tons of fun.
