As valid as real life? Really? So... playing a game and getting badges is up there with graduating college? Buying a house? Getting married? You need to read the dictionary for definition of the word accomplishment.

How about finishing a marathon? Writing a book? Helping a stranger?

Everyone of those is far more important than sitting on your butt playing a video game while waiting for a hot pocket to finish cooking in the microwave. Games are like movies, they are entertainment. There is no gain in them, it's relaxation not work.

An accomplishment takes effort. Getting a badge or getting a 50 is no more an accomplishment than watching a movie.

People just want to complain sometimes I suppose. I find it hilarious when people refer to something in a video game as an 'accomplishment' of somekind. It's a GAME.
