  1. You don't need Unstoppable, but it's nice to have if you can fit it in. The crash can easily make you drop a kill though.
  2. Sadly no, as already said.

Though a Coalition Raid would be brilliant.

    OK sure.

    Seriously. No. Just. No.

Straight off the bat, you have incredibly bad burst damage. And as far as your DPS goes, the amount of attack chains you will have to use to drop enough, is scary. You have bad movement, so you can easily be kited to death, your Slows won't don't jack against that, so think again.

The fact that you're going for a pure recharge build is surprising (Though not that much from you ), pure recharge builds can seem good, especially if you remember the ol' Perma Hasten days, but the thing most people forget, and what I think you've forgotten, is that a Perma Hasten build of old didn't compromise on Damage. This build does, horribly so, in my opinion.

If you are set on this Build, I really hope you get it done, and when you do, I demand a PvP fight.

    PvP tips please

Ninja Blade/EA isn't bad, lacking a bit 40+, but it's not too bad. You'll rely on AS more than EM, though.
  8. I got the kill! YAY ME!

hate to tell u this but cox is nearly dead in the U.S.
I live in the U.S., the only reason i'm on UK is because my friends i had and got me into the game were here, but all but 1 long gone 2 wow.
in the U.S. we can't buy cox - any copy of it from the gaming stores, we have to find it on ebay or 'sometimes' a copy will be left at like best buy.
all the gaming shops removed them, and just destroyed them rather then ship them back, as "a Waste of space" and "a dead game taking up our shelves".
just ask other U.S. gamers, it is sad, i like this game (until recently) and have been getting nothing from my UK friends on wow but copies of wow and to come over and forget about cox.

    [/ QUOTE ]

See, that's odd, because while you may have to look/ask over here, most shops that sell MMO's I've been in have CoH/V.

And that's with the UK's significantly smaller play population compared to the US.
  11. That was actually pretty cool, well made!
  12. "Hahah Empaths are easy to kill"

Always makes me giggle that one.

No wonder there isn't many people on Defiant these days.

We're not on Defiant anymore, we're everywhere.

    2 things.

    1 - I actually have the power.
    2 - Ever heard of http://coh.nofuture.org.uk?

Am I the only one that uses it?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'm pretty sure it lists the power as doing -DMG, -ACC, -RES, - DEF, +Special , note the lack of Hold, though I assume the "Special" is either a Hold or the Animation.

Also, City of Data (yes I did check, however there's SQL errors all over the shop for the Noxious Gas pet summon that does the effects, although it does list Hold I severely doubt it's Mag1000).

I also find it odd that /Poison would get what is in effect three Holds in the set.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
Hammerfall, Noxious Gas has a 4 second mag 1000 hold as one of its effects.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Source please. Especially seeing it doesn't take Hold Enh's as far as I'm aware. =\
  16. [ QUOTE ]
The Defiant "Die a lot" method is not a very efficient method, considering the fact Union managed to get it down to an art, that got eventually boring for some - but at least it was a guaranteed HO.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I assume you're referring to Pre-I9 Hamidon Raids as, well, Union's not actually done one yet, have they? If you are, I'd like to mention that we did raids in about an hour wihout mass death, and that you, at least to begin with, started using our updated guide after the PA change.

I'm also in for a Union Hami Raid.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
This is working as intended. Its supposed to be hugely hard to resist it. I think its a Mag 1000 hold like the MM poison power Noxious Gas.

Technically possible to resist but in practical terms you will never be able to resist a mag 1000 hold.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Erm, except it doesn't hold you. No toggles drop, no "Held" message, nothing. You're just in the animation.
  18. The power itself isn't overpowered, nor the set, it's the fact that the animation isn't counterable that I dislike.
  19. Not off hand, if I'm right and it is bugged it may have had the Cryptic "It's not a bug, it's a feature!" treatment, or it could be that the devs are dumb and it's truely WAI. Which is stupid because it's the only unresistable effect ingame (that I'm aware of now the PPP Ghost Widow hold is fixed), Heroes don't get similar, and there's no counter.

If anyone wants to dig a post out either way, feel free.

Poison Gas Trap is bugged to [censored], the vomit animation can't be countered and will happen regardless of things like Clear Mind and other Mez Protection.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was under the impression that was how it was meant to work, sort of like fear where you get to move every now and then.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nope, because the power itself is Foe Hold if I remenber right, also there is no status indicator in your buff bar like you'd get with a Mez. You just get stuck there, regardless of any protections you may have, even if you were rocking 20 Tier 3 Break Free's. =\

Did I say do well? No. Did I say a chance? Yes

I even put it in italics for you guys...

As mentioned above, 4 seconds with every shield in the set, even against a few opponents is pretty rubbish. Even with high damage that my enhancement layout has yielded balanced against recharge time and endurance usage, taking on a single Mastermind was deemed pointless because his shields against melee we're stupidly more powerful that my own, even with said hero scrapper having the magus shield and the MM having just repulsion field.

As a casual gamer, it just feels wrong.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Would you expect to tank four Arch Villains at the same time? Lets say, Anti-Matter, Tyrant, Mother Mayhem and, I don't know, Diabolique?
  23. Any melee AT against a team of ranged AT's is at a massive disadvantage, and rightly so. If they wanted, they could keep you at range and DPS at the same time. You do have a chance to hold your own and maybe get a kill or two, but that chance because much smaller if they A)know what they're doing and B) are using debuffs.

If you say, came up against a group of En/Fire/Fire Blasters instead of a bunch of Corruptors and a Dominator, it'd be a very different story.

As for toggle drops, only Dominators get a high enough chance to semi-rely on those these days. You say that PvP is not balanced and you have no travel power, well that right there is a big issue, PvP relies heavily on movement, while I do think that 99% of PvE builds can do well in PvP, going in to a PvP Zone without a travel power is a mistake as far as I'm concerned. You're a sitting target for anyone that wants to come along and have a go.

Energy Melee Stalkers don't have a chance against a balanced team, they can maybe scrape on kill before dying. Stone Brutes and Tanks are laughable, they may take time to kill (well, a few seconds with the right team) but they're not gonna do any significant damage, especially against a team with +Res buffs. As for Force-Field, again, +ToHit negates that. You came up against a team that had massive +ToHit and -Def, an SR's worst nightmare.

But if it makes you feel any better, another Secondary wouldn't of helped, they'd still have mulched you.
