1v1 PvP will never be balanced, Team PvP (pretty much) is. Unless you're fighting a team of all Corrupters.

Edit: Ahaha, Fire Blast is awesome for PvP, very high damage, good range, good animation times, good (and reasonably high) DoT.

You can still slowcap someone if you have the right debuffs, what it does mean is that a set with a single hardcore slow (Rad) is less effective against a build with hefty +Rech.

A good Ice/Cold or Ice/Kin could probably still decimate an opponents recharge if they can lock them down for it.

Seismic Smash (Tanker/Brute Stone Melee) is a Mag 4 hold, going through Acrobatics with one hit. (And these days you can slot your holds with the % of hold proc, which also allows overcoming acro with one hit some of the time.)

Don't ever go up against a triform PB; seriously. You think aid self is annoying? How about shields, 3 heals, a self rez, built in stamina in Nova form; tank form, rather high knockdowm AND fairly good damage?

And to top it all, if things get hairy we also have Light Form (Unstoppable to you tankers).

Not that I'm saying they're PvP gods, they're not. But played right they can be a REALLY irritating opponent.
