Psychic Shockwave for Dominators is an AOE power which does damage as it if it a single target power. For Blasters, this will not be the case -- the AOE divisor will be in place. In other words, divide damage by 4.75.

Here.
Oh well. -
Hmmm... basically the Dom set with a few new powers thrown in instead of stuff like Subdue and the Snipe. Looks interesting for PvE.
-
Bases with massive obstructions for movement annoy me, sure strategically they're sound - but they detract from any decent PvP.
Not that I'd call base raids pure PvP anyway... -
-Regen in PvP isn't that huge, anyway. Well, not from things like LR compared to PvE.
I'll probably roll a Psi/* or */Mind Blaster, not for PvP I don't think (I don't believe it'll perform as all the doom surrounding it suggests). I just love me those Blaster's! -

Rooting is just gonna gimp it more then it already is, an interuptable heal is bad enough imo. I like my mobility when pvping, and with rooting i might consider specing it out for something else.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thing is, with some Interrupt IO's it's pretty easy to tap the Aid Self button and then almost immediately move. It's a problem power - I don't think it's as overpowered as some people, but I do think that it's a bit too good for a pool power. Extra rooting will bring it in to line a bit without being as drastic as an increase in interrupt time.
(Though I am against rooting in general, I dislike the mechanic). -
I don't think I have it on any of my toons, but it's a great power for some builds. Rooting's fair, I guess.

An Illu/emp actually getting kills on a base raid??? Were the others AFK or?
[/ QUOTE ]
Phant and PA, I assume.
(And maybe some cheeky kill steals). -

ok ok ok...
...yo mum's so fat she makes Xanthus look skinny!

HIYOOO! -
Yup - CoX has one of the fastest, most frenetic PvP games I've ever played and it's great.

Yeah this defeats the object of being an SG. We wanna PvP together, with our friends, seems [censored] impossible on this game.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's happened to pretty much every PvP SG for the past two years, sadly. -
Actually from my experience it does, if the Tank or Scrapper needs Fort over a Blaster to make the team work, then something's wrong with the Tank and Scrapper.
(Past a certain Level) -

The +damage is almost meaningless when people are slotted up in the later levels.
[/ QUOTE ]
What.
No, that's dumb. Unless you've got a Kin on the team with Fulcrum Shift the Damage is always usefull. No AT Self-Cap's damage apart from Kin and maybe Dark Melee. -
It's not as good as it used to be. It's viable, but something like Fire/ will outperform it IMO.

-Superspeed again is really not necessary, you can chase things and get away fast enough with just two slotted Superjump- this is probably the easiest way to free a slot.
[/ QUOTE ]
You need SS in my opinion on pretty much any PvP build simply because of -Jump.
(Though this is more important in the Arena rather than Zones). -
Looks reasonably solid for a PvE Build, Vengeance is a much better choice for runnin' missions than Phase Shift in my opinion.
One thing I would recommend though is losing the Status Resist IO's in your APP +Res shield. I think you'd get better use out of 3xRibosome's. -
I didn't realise people weren't allowed to comment on a public discussion board.
I won't be there - I don't want to purposefully scale down my toons effectiveness for a night of "classic" PvP. -
Inspirations have always been used in PvP. Since it's conception, I know, I was there. You cannot just go "hurr old school before insps" because quite frankly that's not true.
People have always used the best Enhancements to make the best Builds available to them, before HO's where available in great number it was +3 SO's, then it was HO's and now it's IO's. It's the natural evolution of the game - it doesn't make things any more or any less skill based, it just gives people another avenue to enhance the character once they've worked out what powers to use when. It does take skill to make a really, really good build.
While I'd like to have some casual PvP I don't want to go back to the dark ages of slotting just to do it, all of my toons are IO'd up because I like what IO's can do and how they can enhance a build compared to some lacklustre SO slotting where everyone goes 3xdam/2xacc/1xend (or range). I mean, come on, that's not really diverse or exciting.
Seriously, trying to get more PvP = good, but putting restrictions on things like no Tier9 powers does mean that people'll just turn up on a Regen Scrapper or something.
(Also no insps basically means a Controller/Dominator wins in the long run). -

Tanks and scrappers can be easily mezzed in 8 man teams rikti missions tho
[/ QUOTE ]
It's also handy where there's -Recovery or -End flying around, if my toggles drop I'd like to be able to run away/pop a blue/toggle back up instantly. -
Base Def items are pretty lacklustre in my opinion. In terms of offensive one's. I guess some stuff like the slow fields can be handy.

I would have accepted it if you said Doom I/II or Quake I was the dawn of online gaming(well shooter wise)
[/ QUOTE ]
Online gaming was an irrelevant non-entity until CS blew it open to everyone with a mousepad.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, trust me, it was "blown open" a long time before then. -
Yeah, in all honesty, while this sounds fun, the whole blaster damage bug will take the fun out a bit.
-
Because it's not a new ability - it's a glitch in the AI caused by the proc.
