  1. im cool for thursday yep

    spawnus has kb protection too

and last round i fought against hidden healer and without the perception boost it was actually pretty hard to keep track of him, made for an interesting bout
  2. jus to confirm, do tier 2 and 3 only last 15 minutes?

i've yet to be back to check on the buffs
  3. yer is suppose so but i was under the impression if you sold 'personal' items you didnt actually get anything back for them? (always been to scared to try )

the 3rd tier station is well expensive, it took basically 4 50s worth of tech salvage (dumpin it all in the salvage stor) to put together the 2nd tier station.

unfortunately the way the 2nd tier station is described i thought it'd allow you to make buffs from raw salvage rather than having to go thru 3 steps to get to a buff creation point.

Another point, the buff is effected as soon as you make the recipe, so its not a temp power to use when you need it, its immediately after clicking the create button.

personally i think the multiple steps to get anything done is what will put a lot of people off using it at all.

Oh one last thing. your salvage you carry is catagorised by type, there are specific types required to make specific recipes. Yet the savlage storage unit cant be sorted by type, so you dont know what to pick unless you know exactly the right raw materials, and when there are so many types its a bit of a trauma.
  4. i reckon the third tier of stations will also be 15 minutes of buffage, but will provide access to more wide range of buffs.

eg, tier 2 has toxic resistance, tier 1 doesnt.
  5. yep checked that too, tier two station does all that tier 1 does with no additional costs to the buffs so i suspect they'll be identical from one to the other.

however while the tier one station uses power and materials only, tier two introduces prototype and hardware components as well as the initial two, recipes that use these require a fair more number of resources.

I suspect that tier three will bring in the experimental components and again increase the number of buffs.

i wrote out the costs of tier one and two, if i get time i'll pop them together in a not easy to read post for people, unless theres one out there already...

    II feel your pain, Morgan.
I'll still turn up tonight though, we'll see what happens.

with 'teh end is nigh' placards over your head.

i concur with others, no ones saying this is over or abandon it other than you on two threads posted at approx the same time... so who was the bet with to say you could finish 3vp inside 2 weeks of starting it via bad publicity?

    1) there is a kind of avalanche effect. When a few people leave, more will follow.

    [/ QUOTE ]

and coming onto the forums 2 before the 3rd round and saying 'its doomed' really helps that fall out factor.

Pessimism never made anything fail? nope, if enough people read 'doooom' and believe it, it will fail because of that negative pessimistic attitude.
  8. i didnt check in detail but are the buff recipes the same for level 1 or level 2 buffs?
  9. got an empowerment station up and running, plus accumulated enough to build the 2nd tier one the 'linear accelerator', so whats the deal, do they just provide bigger longer buffs than the standard empowerment station?

any figures on how long the buffs last and what the 'tiers' are between the empowerment station, linear accelerator and the next one up (which i cant remember the name of)

Also as the tech empowerment station onlay accepts tech salvage, do we need a magic one as well? gonna get pretty big this workshop :@)

    Energy/Invul I believe

Thanks folks. Hmmm. A regen & a SR scrapper facing us. And Coin too. Fun, fun, fun

    [/ QUOTE ]

At least you'll get some kills on the last one :P

hehehe /me runs off cheeky quick!
  11. Due to my shortsightedness and not thinking thru how the randomness could pit myself versus Psy (as eat static) im going to have to pull out of this match and request a sub.
  12. personally i find 'confused' sappers a liability, even if they are hitting on the baddies the splash damage off the sap still hits you, i feel much safer with the sapper face down on the floor to confused

i always found superspeed in with air super queued and they midnight grasp and smite kill, seemed to do the job.
  13. nope.

but i too think that if a player is subbed then the subbed needs to lose a life, they didnt turn up after all.

maybe next round what should happen is the contest is capped at a number then anyone else is a sub, regardless.

also didnt agree with some teams who used subs actually picking the sub, the rest was random, being able to pick a sub means some people would deliberately turn up late and have a better player sb for them.

heheh bet xan and cap are regretting it now
  14. i really enjoyed it, was super fun.

thanks defo to captain race umpire and xanth (who i assume did just as good a job over there with the onions) for putting a lot more time than they were expecting into it

thanks to team mates, pyra, carnifax, coin and Apoc, and all enemies faced, mesmer, spawnus, smirk, shadow, omega, and serophina.

    was cool
  15. just goes to show how diverse the scrapper sets, playstyle and opinion are, i was pretty much the opposite, going thru regen again i find it tiresome having to wait for the heals to recharge and some mobs just chew it up. the sr i did notice a difference even with nothing but endredux on the shields.

another point for weapon wielding scrappers, sr only makes you put the weapon away once, regen is every heal you do.

concerning perma protected, before 16 i'd have it as a clicky not on auto (brawls on auto!) so you use it when you hit the mobs that you need it against.

    Lost the Plot

i know what you mean, i found my dark / regen got a bit stuck around that point too, it took the final epic to bring him back to life, but at 47 thats a long way away from 41.

when i came back to ExtraGonk after leaving him nerfed for 2 issues was to refocus him entirely on a specific idea and build everything around that idea, that made him more fun than he used to be ever.

but that was basically leaving a character for about 5 months other than buying enhances for people.

Beyond the missions being dull what do you think is the issue, do you find the character play style dull, the moves restricted, deaths etc?

i ask as when EG was going thru 30s he was really painful to play because i'd missed a key power or two and always played him in a specific way that wasnt really tailored to how he performs best, i changed the playstyle and respecced to get a few good powers in, made a world of difference.

I am an impatient cuss and am looking for early effectivenes in this character so from the info in your post I can pretty much rule out SR.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Funny thing i've found is that having done regen high and having had a sr up to 32 the sr was so much easier to play thru and much more effective than the regen at the lower levels pre 16 and pre so's.

SR doesnt have to be an end drain, nor does broadsword, as long as you slot to fit and fight clever.

Plus, SR gets its status protection at 10, not 16. priceless.
  18. Cog, i found that too and it took about 5 attempts to get my warshade past 15, i found that they really started taking shape at about 18-24 but they still really do benefit from a big team, but at least can solo now (should i want to).

stick with it it does get better make sure you take stygian circle as early as possible though, over all other power choices
  19. heheh that sounds like we have a volunteer!
  20. aye, thats why it'll be fun (rather than ego tactical), psy is in the same boat, vs sd first round and with him second.

/nike advert voice: just do it

    dont worry about tactics

personally i reckon im gonna get marmalised but it should be fun dying
  21. yep i've done that, when you catch sight of the stalky and mire, its one of the best ways to pull a save. good point i hadnt remembered that from when i did that it.

on the disorient, i have a feeling that the disorient power and the disorient aura still are not enough to overcome a status protection from a stalker or brute, i think it takes another 3rd layer to push it. teh slow tick on teh aura is a killa i think
  22. ExtraGonk

    3vP is coming!

todays the last day to sign up i think, but you need to use the specific server threads for signing up, these theards are in this group though
  23. even better when you get it in before their AS lands hehe
  24. Now that you're a bit higher up you'll probably find that you're starting to need it on more than off, and once you hit 18 almost everything will be coming your way so you'll need it on permanently . at that point i found it was TI that i toggle changed a lot, leaving unyeilding and invincibility perma on.

its then just a small hop to getting stamina so the endurance won't be such an issue.

really pleased to see you're still enjoying it
