*stands in a corner, peering at people* I'm not creepy.
Edit: About the next meet, if/when it happens and I can get up to wherever it's happening, I'll be there; beard and all. Maybe I'll do a better job at disorganising the DtWT clipboard than last year. -
on page two of your linked thread Damz, one poster mentions a number of around 14,400 items as base-crashable.

Avatea is mind-wrenchingly stunning, a vision of perfection in human form, beyond heart-melting in stature and poise and figure. As such, totally out of my league.

Teleporting was disabled to prevent people from teaming with opposing-side characters and getting teleported into the entry areas. Also, griefers would use teleport foe with wild abandon causing mayhem for roleplayers. I forget the exact official reasons, but that's the gist of it.
-
The trouble with removing roleplay chat from local is that emoted conversation, ;does something action-like. "Says something in character.", would bleed into local. Also the roleplayed chatter would spam into the created channel across servers, making localised roleplaying non-viable given all the chatter would be sent by people's globals.
-
The reason for this might be clear to all us role-players (or perhaps only to me), but for those who don't/won't know from experience, I shall explain.
Oftentimes I want to talk to other role-players within earshot without seeing speech-bubbles with ((something out of character)). I know it's possible to team, but you still get bubbles and you can't have nine-person teams. I know there's an OOC channel for union, but it was nothing more than spam when I was on it. I also know one can disable speech bubbles, but anyone with experience of Pocket D or Galaxy Girl when really busy knows that trying to keep up with high-speed scrolling chat is tough unless you can zoom out and just read the bubbles.
I would like to be able to put this local OOC into a tab of its very own, for use when something needs discussing OOCly with everyone nearby when mass-tells or teaming isn't viable and various characters aren't in the same super-group or global channel.
The Local OOC would have the same catchment area as standard local, and the reduced distance in Pocket D, but would not cause a chat-bubble to spawn above the characters head. It could be put into a separate tab or kept in the main local chat like any other chat channel and would have a different colour to the standard white, making it easier to pick out. People who dont role-play could opt not to add it to a tab, making it fully optional.
It would also cut down on the times when well-flowing role-play is interrupted by people spamming local with out of character conversations that could easily have been taken to tells in the first place to cut out disruption.
What do you guys think, O Forum Community? And please dont post post-count boosters unnecessarily. If you agree or disagree, explain why and/or make further suggestions to refine the idea. -
I just want Broadsword Brutes. *nods*

Many (on-time) congratulatory sentiments of a jovial and celebratory nature!

Same here. I don't swear OOC much, unless someone has really annoyed me.

The English language is jam-packed with ways to express yourself eloquently, succunctly and accurately. Imaginative use of parlance can lead to great prose and tender poems, song and lymeric. The right combinations can rouse emotions or quell them, incite rage or lead to immense calm.
But sometimes you can save time and effort when annoyed with a loud cry of an expletive-punctuated sentiment that would take dozens of words otherwise.
Example:
'Sir, your presence I have grown tired of. While initially your company was at worst trivial, it now has become pointless and highly undesirable and I would very much be thankful were you to convey yourself to an alternative location for the duration of your existance.'
becomes;
'**** off, moron.'
Necessary? Not really. Saves time though, and can even be fun as long as it's not done to excess. -
I've played all the AT's available, but always gravitate back to brawlers. Brutes, Scrappers, Tankers, Stalkers and the melée geared VEAT's. Something about being surrounded by foes and coming out on top just makes me grin and cackle as I dance a jig on the mangled... Back on track. Ranged characters are fun, sure. I've seen people really enjoying them, and quite like the Fire/Fire blaster I have. But as always, the call of spilled blood pulls me back to up-close-and-personal hitting in the face with a massive axe or fists or twinned blades... Mmm... Hitting...

To avoid the abuse, perhaps flag characters per account so that a fifty from one moving to another won't unlock Epic AT's, but a character created on the account could. Lots of coding I guess, but it'd stop people selling their chars for the unlock.
I fully support inter-account transfers, as I have one char I want to move onto my main account so I can shut down the secondary and save some cash moneys in this 'economic downturn'. -
Kheldians were tweaked recently to allow them to shift into Dwarf when mezzed. In short, not a bug, is WAI.
Edit: Silly spelling error. -
Belated congratulatory sentiments of a jovial and celebratory nature.
Now, I need to figure out why two day's of posts on these forums never manifest until this morning... -
<QR> I turn it off, and saved the option setting to default for every new char so I don't have to keep turning it off. Before I found out about the filter, I was confused as to why there were so many people telling me about their £$%&*/Regen Scrappers.

Most of this weekend was spent offline (woo! Real-worldians unite!) visiting close friends. When I did grab some online, I got my Stalker to 45, helped some friends level their chars, ground the snot out of a Lady Grey Taskforce earning over five million inf per mish on my fifty Brute. I spent most of the gaming in a happy daze as people flashed white and shiney all around me. I had planned a duo with one friend, but our chars are in roleplaying limbo so never made it out of the box. They await assembly and painting and so forth. It's such fun.

Happy birthday Gangrel! Kinda late in the day, but the pull of the real world was strong this weekend. Hope you had some fun/got hammered senseless with drinkables.

I think they should be replaced with the new-style "Contact X in zone Y would like to see you" popups, like those presented in respect of Montague Castanella.

These days when rolling and playing new characters, I save the drop-mission ability for these go-visit 'missions'. -
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most.

I expect to be able to make my own mini-arcs. Nothing more, nothing less.
