!!WARNING!!-This is my take on the situation and everythign that is going on. This is not to offend, piss in anyone cornflakes (who in their right mind would piss into a bowl of ceral anyways?), or anything like that. This is just my view and nothing more nothing less. There is no expectation to agree with anything here or meant ot incite anything or hinder efforts, put anyone down, bring down hope, or anything. This may or may not be in the lines of the hopeful way of thinking. THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE IN THE LINE OF HOPEFUL THINKING! Making sure I said it twice just in case it got missed so that no one has to go out of their way to point that out or feel like this was pushed upon them. This way of thinking may or may not be in line with anyone or everyone's view and way of thinking. This is a fair warning. So if that is ok and can handle something that truly may not be anywhere on the same tangent of your way of thinking or view, then read on. If not, YOU ENTER AND READ AT YOUR OWN RISK! !!WARNING!! How ever you resapond I'm more than likey will respond in kind. Attack me I'll attack you. Nit pick me, I'll nit pick you and so on. So we can actually discuss thing like adults for once, or go to the same thing as usual but you can never say it was forced upon you and stuff. You chose to come here, you chose to either read or not read heed or not heed the warning and that's on you. And yes I realize there may be mispelling mistakes, grammar errors and stuff so no need to point that out unless you never ever ever made a mistake of grammar/mispell in your entire life. !!WARNING!!
Late August, around the 31st, NCSoft made announcement that the game was closing and Paragon Studios was going the way of the dodo. At first I was thnking "meh, it was bound to happen. NCSoft been doing it their games for years. COX is not immune." Yet, what I did notice was the outrage that followed. I thought it was interesting that people got this upset over a game. I had a flashback of a kid throwing a tantrum because his/her parents cut the video game off. Yet, these are adults, and according to some, pretty mature in their 30s adults. I mean it is NCSoft's property and they have the right to do what they like with it. If they decide to cut service, then it's their perogative. Then came the plan to save COX. Then I thought, "Man, people are really attached to this game for real. I'm not sure if it's withdrawal symptoms from an uhealthy game addiction or what but they seem to be serious." For the first few days after the announcement I just watched.
Eventually I enquired of why a routine announcement of a game closing is causing this much out rage? Did people actual expect it to last forever? I think most didnt expect it to literally last for ever but I also think some people woud react the exact same way they did here whether NCSoft gave a two day warning or a 5 year warning. NCSoft never been close to the community especially the forum throughout the life of the game. I guess it would seem they expected it to be Paragon Studio's job so why expect them to all of a sudden open line of coummication when they discontinue a product? Would the community even bother listening to what they would have had to say or was their minds already made up to be angry no matter what NCSoft did or say as all they know is that NCSoft is killing off their favorite game and that is what mattered. They didnt care when NCSoft and or other game studios shut down other titles. There was no rush to rally there. It was that they didnt give a crap. Now, that it is them, now they want everyone to give a crap.
Yet it goes deeper than a company just killing off a game I realized from some people that explained. It was the community that they came to be a part of for 8 years for some. * years is along time to be playing with the same people night after night and maybe day after day for some. Relastionships start to form, even if it's virutal, that made it no less important, they felt a sense of belonging that maybe some couldnt have gotten in the real life world. This is a place where a total outcast rejected bullied everyday person could be king and the most popular person around. This is where a person who is shy in person can form friends easily without people focusing on looks. This where someone that may not be good with speech in perso can be the most eloquent poster on the forum and be respected for it. And now a company want to take that away based on a buisness decision. That can be a hard pill for someone to swallow.
For others, it's just a game that they invested in for years and it came to an end. And many have left already. To others, it's just a game that they have invested money into and rather see around. To others it's game that they invested time and money into and hope that it will be around sometime into the future. To others it's just a game that had a significant impact on some people that would be nice to keep around but there are other games out there. To others it's not just a game, it is life. To other's it's not just a game but a community that they belong to. To other, its a game they put a lot of money, time and effort into and dont wish to let that go down just like that without a fight. And then there are many other views. The point is that there are many views, feelings, and variance in between and there shouldnt be us vs them blac vs white way people suppose to feel about it. Some people dont get attached to games and it's nothign to them to move on after Nov. 30th. While others are seriously attached to the game and will fight forever to try to keep this game alive. Each side so far from what I seem to take the stance that their view is right and normal and every other view is trolling. Me personally, I dont see any point at all in wasting time money effort, to savea community where a simple way of feeling different from each other cant even be tolerated. You get ten random people in a room and ask them how they feel about a random question and more than likely you'l; get ten different answers and ways of expression. It seems that no one like to be told their view is stupid and etc. or jumped on because of their view but many that wish everyone to respect their view are the exact same ones that jump on other people's view when it dont line up there. To me, that is a straight up hypocrite.
Everyone's human and everyone thinks that their view is upmost important and have a right to express that view in and or to the community but so do the rest of the community. If a community member view that this game shouldd burn a horrible death, then that is their view, a view of A member of the community. If someone view that they think every should get on board and follow a certain site ran by a certain person and anyone that dont is against the game and should just leave the community. Ok that is their view. Yet, the hard part and a part we probably should eventually get to, including me, is letting them have that view and leave it alone. As they are just as part of the community as anyone else here. If we cannot get to that point at all, then what is there to save? What are we saving? A community that exist as "us vs them" "we are right and they are wrong" or "our opinons matter more and since that opinon isnt my opinion it is worthless" community? That's not a community. That is a gaggle of people trying to win the "I'm right and you're wrong" fight. Me personally, I'm trying to save a community and not a gaggle of people where only a few people's opinions matter and everyone one doesnt. Or where one cannot express a differing view without being called a troll. Or where hell, a differing view always cause someone to feel like their ceral is getting pissed in. Even Congress cant agree on everything besides when it come time to vote for a raise for themselves. And that is just the affect or effect of having a bunch of people in the same place on an open forum at the same time. The time to worry is when people agree on the exact same thing at the exact same time because one person told them that is how they suppose to express that idea at that exact moment. If that is the way it suppose to be, then there really in anypoint in anyone posting anything or even a forum existing since it is assumed that everyone is suppose to have the same view and way of thinking as one particular person. Might as well appoint one person to speak for everyone and write a blog that says "Hi, I'm one person and I speak for all subs of COX and I say that this and that is the way it should happen because I said so and if you dont think so, then you're a troll."
But this isnt one person's blog, this is a forum of COX. All players and everyone that ever dropped a dime into this game, made this possible. So if they invested in it then they should be able to say what they feel just like anyone else. If that is how they feel then that is how they feel. If people cant express how they feel, then there is no point in complaining about people pissing into the ceral because in way, you might be doing just that by calling their view stupid or calling them a troll, and etc. If that is the way it suppose to be, everyone pissing in any ceral that they view do not match up with theirs, then so be it but stop complaining about it please. Easist thing to solve that problem is for everyone to stop pissing in any ceral and just let people feel the way they want to feel and view the world through their own eyes. If people continue to piss in someone ceral then they piss in other people ceral and it continues on. People calling each other troll and they call them a troll and it continue. Let's not fall apart at the end of this possible last leg of the game as who would want to put in any effort to save a mere gaggle of trolls vs trolls, us vs them, I'm right you're wrong and etc anyways? I cant speak for anyone else but I dont.
If you feel like this game is worth saving, then have it by any means that you ferel is worth it. Dont let anyone make you feel like just because you are not doing as much at them or on this particular site or endorsing this celeb or taking everything they say as hard fact, to mean you are against the effort. If you are a part of a larger organization and just a cog in their efforts and agree to everythign they do, that is fine. It would be best if we can look beyond the difference that really are irrelevant and work towards the goal that both sides want to accomplish.
Captain_Electric- Note:The only person named in this entire thread so anything else and you are are not particularly named, then I'm talking about you.
I think this person have a ratinal way of looking at things, and rational view of the efforts. I think this person is trying really hard as they can to get this game saved without coming across as "god's gift to saving this game effort so every one better bow down or be considered an outcast!". But that is my personal view and some may think different and that is ok. -

And there go a few. There are a few more on Titan Network but I'll leave at this right now as I can see how this is going to go. I could get TonyV on video confessing that he wants to see Mexico off the map and you probably would find some way to ignore that and try to discredit it.
I post three examples, more than ML did for her evidence which it seems is not required of her ever. -
-
Quote:Lol. yea Tony made it clear alright. As long as that dissenting opinion isnt opposite of his high hope happy view put your entire life into saving the game view. Mention one time that "Well, I'm not sad but will help save the game." and he'll jump down your throat so fast... in fact he already has a couple of times. Even going as far as calling people trolla or against the COX movement for not having his enthuse and exact goal as his. He says one thing and then do another.react in another way. He says he dont mind opposite opinions but call anyone a troll that does agree with him. LOL. Yea that is VERY accepting of dissenting views. As someone who has a bit of an inside view, that's not true. Everything is taken with a grain of salt, especially when it's claimed to be inside info that isn't supposed to leak out. If I were Brian Clayton, I'd be careful about what I said to someone, even a friend, who I knew was going to turn around and post it publicly.
ML is passionate, driven, and tends to be a little loud about her opinions. She also is quick to leaping without looking as a result of that. She doesn't represent the entire movement by herself -- even though to outsiders it may appear that way because of sheer post volume. What she says isn't taken as gospel beyond question, by any means.
Also, dissenting opinions are welcome so long as they are constructive and don't degenerate into petty bickering. Tony's made that clear a couple times, including asking some of the more rabid supporters to back off.
The Titan forums have always been relatively quiet, so the sudden explosion in traffic is taking some time to get used to. We've never really had to moderate anything other than spammers before -- all I can I ask is for people to be patient while we try to find the right balance.
I remember when back a couple of weeks ago me and a couple others mentioned that it may be slim chance that NCSoft will reverse their decision. Boy did him and his cronies jump on that as being pessimistic, negative, against saving COX and called all type of stuff. Ironic, a few days ago he posted on Titan that it's a slim chance at this point that NCSoft will reverse decision. Well, no one jumped on him and said he was negative. Why? Because he's KIng TonyV that's why and his view is always correct and the only way to go and when he change his mind, then everyone else can change their mind. But better not do it before him or else he'll get you. -
Quote:Kind of sound like what Titan Network is trying to do. Like they are trying to create an image that they are god's given savior to this community and only hope while anyone else that dont agree with their methods, opinions, rumors, theories, and etc. in every detail is against them in every manner and should not be considered a valid part of this community.
Well, one historically popular way to 'create a united front' in a community is to separate out the parts you don't like and convince the rest that those individuals are not really a valid part of the community and need to be stomped out.
I wonder if I weigh more than a duck?
.
To me that is kind of counter productive to the goal. Sure, Im sure TonyV thinks it's nice to be surrounded by people that would agree to everything he says or do and basically wordship him, and yes they might create another game. But how far can a game go on a community only about 10-20% of the size of this community, and in the log run how long will it last if it's a game only made for and by TonyV and his inner circle? People talk about how NCSoft is uncaring to their customers and this community and only care about themselves but TitanNetwork is doing the exact same thing and methods. Only under the thinly guise of "they are here for the effort of everyone." when actually it seems he only doing it for himself and his close friends. Yet I might just be totally off, but that is the way it seems thus far. -
Quote:Say, you wouldnt think some of the old guard that was around when the game was discontinued and up to the point it was remade, is still around? Think thye have pointers for this situation and for recreating a game? The last time this happened to my favorite MMO, me and a whole lot of other players boycotted the publisher, and joined together as a community that was unwilling to let their game die. And it wasn't just talk. It took eight years, but Earth and Beyond is now in a feature complete beta state, faithful to the original game; and also chalk-full of new updates, features, art and story content made by, and funded by the players, and implemented by a professional dev team who has worked together for years-- to achieve a quality free service, and to right a wrong that was done to their fans.
Hundreds of players are exploring the stars at any moment, thanks to two things especially: community and determination. EA hasn't so much as attempted to write a cease and desist letter because they know the Earth and Beyond community will decentralize in response, and just like the Ultima Online emulator community did years before, there would be dozens of professionally run servers (and thousands of, ahem, other sorts) for them to fuss with their lawyers over--something that would cost them much money and effort for very few results as a reward.
A few years ago, a new CEO at EA finally bowed to pressure and bad PR, and publicly admitted that EA's strategy of killing their competition by buying them out and shutting them down over the years had been, perhaps, not well-thought out. Meanwhile, Earth and Beyond's old producer recently said he's amazed and thrilled by what his [destroyed] studio's fans have done. Or rather, what they didn't do: give up.
I'd love to read comments like that from Brian Clayton or Matt Miller some day, years from now, which is why I'm admittedly disappointed by the news that the Titan Network has decided not to get behind a City of Heroes emulator. Bowing to legal fears and concerns doesn't impress someone who's been there, done that, and is still a member of two emulator communities, both very successful for years now, where many MMO players have sworn off big publishers as a matter of principle (and, perhaps, the wisdom of experience).
The Earth and Beyond emulator team is reportedly gearing up to start their own real-deal studio after the emulator hits the "Live" stage and they release all server code to the public. After nearly a decade of surmounting every single speed bump and Mount Everest in their way, they've proven to themselves, to their fans, and to the MMO development community, that they can achieve the seemingly impossible.
The Titan Network's Plan Z, on the other hand, is also admirable, and achievable. But it is also extraordinarily awesome in scope, and would be even for an already established studio. The idea that a group of players--some who couldn't agree on the most basic gameplay mechanics during their years on these forums--could get together and...eesh, it's a heavy order, even for an Optimism Incarnate like me.
You just don't slap an MMO together, not if you want it to deserve the moniker of City of Heroes' spiritual successor. MMO designers who make great games have years of experience behind them, and that's only half of the equation. The other half is the ability to work well together, and working well together ALWAYS, INEVITABLY means saying "yes sir" to the programming lead, or content lead, or art lead, or assistant lead, or team lead, or whoever it is you're under. Even when you hate their idea with all your heart. THAT is what working together truly means, and if you can't do it, you can't make a good game. This is why I brought up the Earth and Beyond team: because they're sitting on a success right now that has earned more respect than ire in their industry, and it's allowed some of them (who previously had little or no experience) to cut their teeth on game design and learn from experience. Some of these guys and gals wouldn't be prepared to start their own studio and make their own game if they hadn't brought their old game back to life first.
Sorry for rambling. Thanks for reading, if you did. -
Quote:Ok.Well like his set, Casey Schreiner appears to have chucked off CoH. I'd be mad at him, but with all the epic zings he has given Eve online over the years that made me laugh so hard, its difficult to stay mad at him.

Quote:If in theory it is saved in tact, I hope there is a more cherish every moment attitude and not thinking it will all last forever or it can never happen to this game. I think by now, most people figured out that even a good game, like this one, is not immune to be shutdown. Maybe now, when we see another game be shutdown, instead of thinking or saying "oh well sucks to be them" like in the past, now it's a greater understanding of what it is like. I hope there would be some change that is not temporary that last the first few weeks and then back to the old until it's on the chopping block again. For more than selfish reasons, I would love to see this community after going through this and having City Of Heroes remain.
I have no false expectations of some idealistic utopian online community, haha... But I would love to have back what we had before August 31st... yet with the new connections I have made with the people involved in these efforts and all of us with a greater understanding and appreciation of each other and what we believe we have here.
The more I go through this process with everyone involved, the more I refuse to lose this community. I know that is entirely in our hands, but I would absolutely love to see full success for several reasons and one of them is to absolutely have this community back, mostly in tact and see what we'd do with the bonds we've developed and the experiences we've shared through it all.
And, EternalAmethyst, put your words back up, mate.
I am sorry that we did not post in here sooner. You had probably the two most bitter posters around here these days come in and rain on your positivity.
Don't let them affect ya. I know it makes it seem like it's not worth bothering posting in here sometimes... but there are countless more people who like what you had to say than there are dissenters.
And... if you have no dissenters... you know you're not standing up for anything. Haters are gonna hate... But, you know what... there are a bunch of lovers and dreamers here and we're not backing down.
Now instead of not caring if a bunch of people play or not, how about a little more marketing, a little more getting the word out, BEFORE it's about to be shutdown, and encouraging people to stay instead of trying to run them off and doing all of that until the point that the game turn a profit so big that even a multi-billion dollar corporation would be absolutely nuts to get rid of. -
Quote:Tell me about it.. The theory that "scientic research" is the key that can unlock the IP just strikes me as bizarre. And, worst of all, the concept that "trolls" (my take is a troll is defined as anyone who hasn't followed the "program" as layed out by Titan or has opinions that differ from those express by Titan) need to be squashed at every opportunity.
This isn't the community I came to know and enjoy so well.
Guess it wasnt only me that noticed their definition of "troll". -
-
Quote:ah. lot of trolls on virtue then or was. It's pretty much trollspeak (or sometimes PvPspeak) for, "You should leave. I don't like you. And I don't like you, because you are stupid for RPing in an mmoRPg."
learn something new everyday.
I find it a bit ironic that someone would make fun of another for Rping. I mean unless that person is some spandex wearing super power throwing human/mutant/powersuit/beast in RL, then in a way they are role playing too. -
Quote:So basically it's best to wait until either an actual official notice is handed out if one to be released and or just wait and see until Nov. 30th. and beyond.Okay, please do me and everyone (including yourselves) a favor and stop for a second.
Read this, calmly, from your friendly neighborhood Electric-Knight.
There was a complete malfunction of what was actually being said and some people turned it into something completely different and/or to a greatly different extreme.
Regarding the current negotiations, someone said that the person relaying the news was a questionable source because they were a fantasy writer.
That was being disputed.
Then others came in to say that celebrities have no greater credibility than anyone else (no duh!). No one was saying otherwise. Her celebrity has nothing to do with anything other than the fact that she used whatever status she has to make our situation public.
She already knew and has had dealings with the people at Paragon and that is how she has been getting and relaying information.
That's it. End of that story.
Believe her. Don't believe her. That's fine.
If some people take issue with her because she got some other things wrong... so be it.
Not a single person was here saying that she does or can do no wrong.
They simply said that she was a trusted source with an inside contact within the negotiations. She's not been getting details... just friendly messages that the talks are going on, haven't ended, still going on, so on and so forth.
If her failings in any other instances make you mistrust her ability to relay simple messages from involved parties, then you don't have to trust her one bit. And no one here says that she is a celebrity and therefore is perfect!
So, there was a mix up of miscommunication going on in here.
It happens a lot.
Someone say something stupid (and often his name is Johnny... haha)...
People refute the stupid remark...
People come in and argue against an argument no one is making...
The refuters continue to refute the stupid remark...
Nitpicks are thrown around, past the opposition, because people are not talking to each other... they are talking at, or past each other.
So, stop.
People, including some red names, are looking to this source for little bits of information when she gets them.
There is no other leak right now.
And we all just have to wait and see what happens with the current negotiations... and then, what comes afterward.
Whether or not you think any particular person is trustworthy, superb, irrelevant or an assassin/spy is really pretty much irrelevant and not an opinion anyone else is going to be forced to share.
So... we have but one source currently relaying information. Do what you will with it. So far, nothing has contradicted the information we have received.
However, when there is actual news, we will all hear about it from clear and open channels.
If you don't trust the initial drips of leaked information... don't worry about it. When there is real, solid news that will give us actual information about what specifically is going to happen... we will know about it.
And, to be fair... this particular novelist does have one thing in her favor above any random community member. Her own personal/public identity is on the line. Unlike most everyone else here.
She's stood up and doing what she is doing for our shared cause and love of CoH. If she messes up in any way, it's her real name and Influence spent.
Now... let's all back off a bit and enjoy the fact that there are negotiations (other red names have said as such) and that a bunch of the developers are out having dinner together tonight!
Long live Paragon City (yeah, and the Rogue Isles too, damnit! Fine... Praetoria, you too!)!!! -
I did like my SS/Inv (i7) brute.
My favorite, dang what's her name? Ah yes I remember now. the WP/SS tank. Good concept, and good solo toon.
The TW/Regen brute is up there too. Easy to get into character and more than easily got the solo 1-50 job done.
Good stuff. It was fun while it lasted. Still have to come up with a storyline to end it.
The Elect/elect tank Lu Dontiz- lab got shut down by the feds for doing "unethical" experiments on the villains he caught and fled to Italy.
Old Bat- Fire/WM tank died of a heart attack (born Nov.13 1902-diedAug 31st 2012) and finally able to join her loved one in the other world.
Elec/elec-Angry- brute moved to Miami to wreak havoc.
Larry "The Pike"- got arrested from old racketeering charges and will spend 20 years in the Zig before being transfered to NYC to face a murder rap.
The WS finally was able to gather enough parts to fix her ship and went home.
Pinky Spider-caught cancer from her own venom grenades and had to retire from life of crime. She might lose one of her spider legs.
Personified Evil- Is still Evil. Moved to Colorado with the Blakes. No one believes in werewolves over there so he can take many victims without notice.
Still working on the ending for the rest. -
Quote:I dont know usually here, unless the bully is targeting a popular person, everyone seems to remain quiet. If the popular person is doing the bullying, everyone just laughs it off and call the other person as being too sensative and or try to run them out of town. Only time I've seen a run out of town attempt is when the target is a popular person with a bunch of friends. Now dont egt me wrong, this community is over all friendly relatively but I've seen lot friendlier online community. In game, it's a different story it seems havent seen much friendlier as far games go outside CO. Usually not too many jerks hanging around or doing much stupid stuff. Forum wise, it seems all bets are off and it's WoW all over again.Granted. Every game has jerks. But I've been able to tell that the troll ratio is certainly a lot lower here than in any other game I've been to. And whenever someone does start to become a problem, they tend to get "run out of town" pretty fast. I've seen the bullying get routed here just as quickly as would purse-snatching in a superhero universe. And this is also the only game where not once have I seen anyone say "lolrp"
Ironically I see "lolrp", whatever that means quite often on virtue. Or at least used to, especially in Atlas and Pocket D. A couple of times in Talos a week, and only one time in past four months in PI. Is that an insult to role players? -
Quote:So exactly what information do the person collect that is selling the capes and masks? Assuming that it's over the net and stuff and from what I hear it's through pay pal. I'm not yet done reading pay pal information collection policy yet but on the seller's side, what is seen and or collected? And given that they must deliver product, what information is used to do that?Aaand, maybe not so many cool points, after all.
I am not a member of the Titan Network and the idea that they collect a ton of personal information is straight out of Brillig's mind, who has no idea what he's talking about.
And if possible, what is that money being used for? Their personal gain, charity, going int othe development cost of a new game or what? -
-
Quote:Well Brillig, I'm with you on that one. An organization or cause or what ever it's called hinting at leaking personal information SHOULD be a serious matter.Ah, so personal information leaking out of SaveCOH isn't serious.
Can I quote you on that?
If privacy of the people that throw in support is not important to them then I hope that they get all the information they can get but it wont be none of mine.
Wonder what other private information are they collecting to see who is doing what or buying now. I mean is someone going to wake up and find their bank dry because the save the game cause needed more money or what?
Dang my paranoid thoughts! Now I have to go and see if they are safe to deal with at all or are they collecting information on everyone that visit the site too. -
Quote:I know, it probably never going to happen. Standard procedure, unless they call a press conference or something or actual release letters to customers. But still rather hear it direct.Never going to happen. NCSoft has already said what they had to say. If you hear anything good, it will be from former devs or a new publisher or studio that takes over. And even then, you might not hear anything any time soon.
If that sounds overly negative for me, it's because I feel exceedingly overly negative about any discussion right now that isn't based loosely around the old phrase, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Just replace country with community and you get my drift.
If you haven't done all the things the Titan Network has plead with us to do, then you shouldn't be nitpicking peoples efforts who are doing something about this, and you shouldn't nitpick NCSoft for ignoring our pleas for information if you won't even respond to your own community's pleas for assistance. And I know at least one of the nitpickers in this thread hasn't sent in their mask and cape yet.
Dont worry it's not negative. The way it is and works doesnt always have to be negative nor do positive always have to be pipe dream.
I'm looking into the cap and mask thing, not sure how it helps or purpose of it, but might do it anyways for laughs. But I'm still reading over PayPal procedures/privacy policies.
And as far as that phrase go, I actually like my country. This community?...well I just want to save the game, lets focus on that.
And like I mentioned in past post, best beleive I'm putting effort into this thing. But dont get it twisted, just because Titan Network says do this or do that doesnt mean I'm automatically mean I'ma go "Yes, master." and go do it. If it looks like a bright idea, I might go for it. If not, I'll something else some other way. And just because I'm doing every little thing Emporer TonyV says over there doesnt mean I'm not doing my part in this. Titan hase one view of doing one thing and I have another. So far his view seems to be hush hush outside the inner circle so what am I suppose to do? Wait outside his palace door waiting for word if he feel like saying something? Nope, if he has info that can be shared by all means, share it. If not, then I'ma continue forward with or without his blessing. -
Quote:I rather have the news directly. As they say direct from the horses mouth?I think you're wanting to misunderstand this, and you're overcomplicating the way news spreads. For one thing, you don't even know whether former Paragon employees are allowed by contract to talk to each other about these matters. For another thing, some former employees who know ML can be trusted have thrown that hint our way, because it's all they can give us without doing something really stupid. Some of us are taking it with smiles. Some of us are throwing it back in ML's face.
For your case, what you and some others here SHOULD be doing is tracking down any redname who has given ML a good word on this forum or the Titan Network, and dressing them down for not giving you news directly right now. That might sound silly, but it's a helluva lot more sporting than trashing the messenger in a public forum that she can and does read.
Lastly, NCSoft doesn't care that you're impatient for news.
NCSoft probably dont care for much of anything besides money and how the nego. assuming they are still on going, will benefit them. Buisness is a buisness's buisness and in the game of buisness, you dont get there by being a charity, playing nice, or caring for every little thing. -
cool. I think he might be more widely known than Mercedes Lackey (no offense) if sheer star endorsement is what we are going for here.

There is nothign to deny here about it as because I know Google dont own facebook. And that is the end of it. I think you are avoiding the question because you cant answer them. How about you grow a pair and answer the question. But from what I already gather is that you wont answer the question because you know you cant. So instead of just saying that you cant, you put on a front and try anyway to avoid having to answering it and that is fine with me.
MY statement stays I'm not in the buisness of convincing people of stuff that is irrelevant and probably couldnt be convinced if they was waist deep in it.
Take it or leave it and unless you are answering the question, there is no more to this conversation.
The end result will still be the same I will still continue to not use those products listed and you will continue to believe in what ever you believe. So what is there more to talk about? -

Gah. Who is Kevin Smith? Now that is name it seems that I heard before but cant put a finger on it. Want to say he was Silent Bob but I may be wrong as hell.

Quote:no really it wasnt a mistake it was put in there as intended purpose for another service I do not use. but dont weasel out of the question. That's hilarious. You said Google runs Facebook. Go ahead and try to weasel out of it, it's entertaining.
Or you could, you know, man up and admit you made a mistake.
Name three service that is unavoidable sine you view Google as some internet all knowing every internet god? -
Quote:who said google runs face book? I put that in there as an example that is another service I avoid. Never said google ran it.You played CoH, right? Just checking.
And no, Google doesn't own the Internet. But if you think you can spend any significant amount of time on the net without touching Google services, you're delusional.
But hell, I already know you're delusional, you think Google runs Facebook.
None of which absolves you from being too damned lazy to punch two words into *any* search engine.
And name three google servies that are unavoidable then?
