I'm seriously considered deleting a 50 over this, something I have never done. I didn't think it would effect me this much, but it really does take a lot of enjoyment out of playing my DM/SD. I enjoyed him because he was consistent. He wasn't hurt by most debuffs, didn't have a mez defense, and had solid damage. I know, SR was weaker than SD in every aspect, but now I have no intention of ever playing one of my characters again and I am currently in the process of stripping said character of all enhancements. It is too bad I can't strip his incarnate powers down too.
This is the character I soloed a MoITF in under an hour with, who was able to beat every Preatorian AV, and who soloed most of the GMs in game. I invested a lot of time and effort into him, and now that effort is largely wasted because I cannot, with any combination of enhancements or incarnate powers, get him to the level he was once at or replicate any of my feats. I'm glad I switched to my TW/Elec Brute, because my relationship with that character is over.
I will still keep a few Dam/Acc and Dam/Range HOs, but I basically have downgraded them to the category of Kinetic Crash and other "bad" IO sets. Little to no utility for most of my builds, and certainly not better than other options in 90% of cases. General rule of thumb is that IO sets will always be a better option if you have room for them. Which is sad IMHO. -

I can't remember when is was said (maybe at the summit or a coffe chat) but the current Devs have stated that they know PvP is really busted in it's current state but they want to address it as a complete revamp and not just patch up it's current state. Therefore it becomes a question of resourses, and Freedom made them even more tight, so the PvP community may need to (unfortunately) learn to adapt till that time comes.
As for the changes? Yes- my first thoughts were as Hawk pointed out, denial of doorways etc. To use my previous example, an ITF. The First mission, the ambushes at the Oracle come primarily from one direction.. they can now be stopped to allow the team to try and complete the mission without getting wiped. Same goes for the Clyclops/Minotaur ambushes in the 2nd mission. Anothere idea I had was the Hero Respecs.. Dropping DS Right AT the reactor for the last few waves... -
Seriously 5 players should not be the ones who hold back this powerset. Again lol @ pvp. That being said I still believe the best course of action for this power should have been to remove it all together. There will be almost no one who will use this properly on a team, just like there is hardly anyone who uses knockback effectively on a team that does not royally screw up the aoes or tanks aggro. Just remove it for the overall good of the game.

Grav is a great pvp disruption set partly because of dimension shift.
Making it into a targeted location based AOE essentially makes it worthless in a pvp situation.
I'm gutting my Grav/Fire if this goes through, and rebuilding a mind/fire.
Nerfing one of grav's best tools in PVP makes zero sense.
And at 20 seconds, compared to the 30 it currently lasts in PVE, everyone in PVE is also getting the short end of the stick, they might just be too fascinated by the shiny to realize that it's a pretty big nerf.
if it's going to be a toggle, it should be an enemy based toggle. -
Still not touching gravity till Dimensions shift and wormhole swap levels. There is no reason not to do this, the 5 people in game who actually took dimension shift at level 12 will just have to suck it up since this change would be for making the set alot better. 26 levels is still too long for anyone to go without a real aoe control that not on a stupidly long timer. Even changing Dimension shift people are not going to take this power.

I got a PM back from Synapse. He said its working as designed but he has considered changing it. Thats all he said. I hope they do change it because as of now the IO sets it takes really does not help melees that much from the enhancing part as well as the set bonuses. If it does not get changed then I will just use the ATIOs for that power.

Why not just PM Synapse and put this to rest finally? Its crazy that this takes TAoE sets when other powers just like it dont. I still say its a bug.

I got a ton of purples for control sets so I am going to make a Mind/Psi that perma dom. My biggest issue when using mids is that I feel like I am running out of slots. I am trying to make it where I can solo good because I have slotted attacks and make it perma. I am also looking into 2 possible setups, one with hasten and the other without it if its possible to perma dom without hasten. Also does having a certain alpha slot help on this? Should I wait till the ATIOs come out before finalizing the build choices?

I see in the interface you can break down the components but I do not see where you could do this to the power to recover shards and such.

I would almost say its the best power in the nin set. I use it if I am getting overwhelmed, most will stop damaging you to get away. And with some procs its even better. Just think procs+reactive+franken slotted with dam/slows basically it makes a ton of damage. I think there is purple proc that makes them fall down even more in the caltrops so just adds to the fun. Slot it and love it.

I dont see it as pirating for a number of reasons. One is advertisers need to flat-out come up with another method instead of commercials. 99% of the time I skip past them or just watch it on netflix if its available. It just does not work for the most part. The next thing is it costs us zero dollars out of pocket and we as the consumer have no way to pay for said programing so technically you can not pirate it. Commercials are an annoyance at best and really serve no purpose so few people actually buy what they see from tv. For me its extremely rare I buy something I see on TV.

Take the zombie setup. THere is always one fool who is endangers the group because their loved one got bit by a zombie yet they do not want to let them go. If I were the leader of a group during that type of issue, I would not be afraid to bust a cap in the person as soon as they get bit by the zombie. No need in waiting till they turn. Kill them now or you can stay them with and share your brains with them but we wont be taking them with us. There is never a person in the movies that do this. The closest thing is always that one arogant character who does something that gets themself killed in one of the worst possible ways. Its always like that. Why cant they be the one to be smart for once. It just irks my nerves because its way too predictable now. You can pretty much know in the opening 5 minutes of the movie who is going to live and who is going to die because its been done to death so much. Maybe I need to be a movie writer some day.

Whether its zombie invasion, or mayan prophecy people always make crazy decisions in the doomsday movies. Slight spoilers, I just got back from seeing that darkest day movie, the one with the light energy beings that attack earth. It just amazes me how the cast of the movies are always fated to do stupid things to get themselves or the crew dead or put into danger. I understand they want to make some suspense in the movie but do it another way instead of being dumb. I would list specific examples in this movie but I dont want to give it away for those who have not seen it yet. Just once I want someone to make a movie such that a person makes a logical choice in a doomsday scenerio and still die instead of choosing the most obviously wrong choice and dying. To me doing this makes it feel more hopeless that there is nothing you can do to win.

Whatever we will have to agree to disagree on alot of powersets. Just the other day in game players were talking about how invul is no where near as good as it used to be and how much better willpower is for scrappers and tanks. So I know I am not the only one who feels this way.

As the title suggests, this post is about the Invulnerability secondary for the Stalker AT. I'd initially considered posting it in the Stalker forum, though I figure more people who've had experience with the set will see it here.
That out of the way; the devs have stated, in regards to proliferation, that they will eventually proliferate every set that make sense. Is this such a set?
Would Invuln. work well on Stalkers? If so, what would need to be changed?
Just drop Tough Hide for Hide and call it a day? Or would more drastic changes be in order, here?
Personally, I would love to see it ported over sooner than later but, I'm curious what others think on the matter.

I got 2 stalkers I am working on for the upcoming changes. I am not sure what alphas I should go for or the interface slots either. One is KM/WP who I am hoping to build around the whole concentration strike build up mechanic so recharge is definitely needed. On one hand I see going with spiritual alpha but stalker WP is not like scrapper WP so healing is not going to matter as much. True enough its more hp but that is kind of pointless on a stalker as you still are going to die anyways. I was thinking of going more for the alpha that does recharge and defense instead.
For the other stalker its going to be Stj/Nin looking to build to the normal soft-cap on one build and possibly the incarnate soft cap if its possible. Again I am leaning towards the defense/recharge alpha because I do not see spiritual helping me much there either. Also I am willing to use enhancement boosters if it gets me closer to the cap.
For both of these stalkers I will be doing zero pvp so no need to worry about building for that aside from that one pvp IO for defense or resists. -
Using only Microsoft Security Essentials since its release and it works great and is light on the system with little to no overhead when gaming. I do a monthly scan as well with malwarebytes free version in safe mode. Keep in mind you only are supposed to run 1 antivirus. You can run or install malware removal tools as many as you like, just one anti-virus though. In my desktop support for students at the university I have seen students running as many as 6 anti-virus programs at once. People don't realize that more than one anti-virus = no anti-virus due to them conflicting with one another not to mention the huge performance hit you will take because of it. On the mac side I use Sophos which is another free anti-virus. It works really well too and is light on the system for gaming.

I am getting the sound loop bug again, blue screens as well as freezing to black with a crash of the client. I can only play for extended periods of time with only the mac client now. If I play on the pc it just craps out after a couple of hours. Running win 7 64-bit, 8gb ram, gtx 260. Mac side which is fine just running Lion on a MBP 2011. CoH on my PC just got a lot worse since the recent patches. Anytime someone gives me the mystic fortune power its an instant crash. This is pretty much repeatable on my system.

I just wanted to know if any of you have tried this yet. For powers that need either recharge defense or resistance endurance have any of you tried using a franken slotted set with enhancement boosters so that you would get close to what you get using just HO's? While I know it wont work with every power this does make it a cheaper alternative in many powers.

I did the MoMs trial recently as well as WWD part IV. My questions are mostly about Shalice Tilman and Aurora Boerialis. When I did the MoMs trial I had 2 system crashes so I missed out on alot of the story line. Basically I just need to know what is the purpose of this trial and why are you being plugged into the Seer Matrix? Is Calvin Scott really Aurora's hubbie? Why is Penelope Yin there? Is Malaise really dead? Wasnt it supposed to be Statesman? Is that left over part of Aurora that was locked in Sister P. just Mother Mayhem? Was the praetorian Shalice always evil or did she just turn that way after the personalities got merged? I have already gone to Paragon Wiki and alot of the info I am looking for is just not there when I looked. So any help to fill in the gaps would be much appreciated.

That menas a flash drive that's off for too long will begin to lose data (this is probably on the order of years, so it's not a huge issue).
The number of read/write cycles for most flash memory is on the order of hundreds of thousands. It'll be interesting to see how long these devices last compared to hard drives.
To be fair, hard drives are being pushed to the physical limits as well, and are becoming more prone to similar problems by packing so much data into ever tinier magnetic domains. -
